  • i don't get it. there's some other ones posted where the fox has a stupid voice. this is almost exactly how i imagined foxies voice when reading the comic. and i like the look of the characters better here. they must've done a later run w/ different production...

  • @chaspagano -- "Grape Nutty", and another one in which Crow plays dentist and pulls one of Fox's teeth. Frank Tashlin, perhaps best known for his work at Warners in the thirties, created the duo in 1941. Curiously, the names "Crawford" and "Fauntleroy" were never used in the cartoons. Crow usually went by the name "S. Crow", and, once, "Joe Crow".

  • @HaggisMcCrablice The other cartoon you're thinking of is TOOTH OR CONSEQUENCES.

  • The basis of the Fox & Crow series,in cartoons and comic books, was Crawford Crow's cheating Faultneroy Fox out of food, money or pride.:-)

  • Columbia Fox and Crow are great! Too bad they're not remastered on DVD with original titles.

  • @585michael I know! I bet they would all fit on a two-disc set.

  • I never realized there were so many Fox And Crow cartoons executed in the '40s. This is so cool.

  • Crackerjack of a cartoon. Very entertaining.
