  • Almost as good as the 1998 Volvo V70 AWD in the youtube video "Who needs an SUV".

  • Stuck??? That's your definition of stuck?

  • Needed snow tires i bet.

  • So much for the vaunted Subaru AWD system. The next thing you know Roo drivers will claim this was actually an xc70. --- Don't get mad, just jerkin' your chain a little. Subarus are great cars.

  • I love driving when there's deep snow on the roads, just driving around all the struggling vehicles lol

  • I've driven a few Subaru's in snow and they usually seem to perform great, i would take my Jeep over it any day but that's got real 4x4 and a lift, so it's really not a fair comparison lol. Apples to Oranges.

  • i don't know why so many people love subaru that much i bought one last year and it's for sale now i hate it and it's so boring to drive...i really miss my jeep

  • @slspg try the twin turbo version, definitely not boring to drive!

  • That's what makes a Subaru a SUBARU

  • Easy on the pedal and get Snow Tires.

  • no offense but thats why i would get the jeep but for looks the outback looks great

  • beautiful.... the snow of course.

  • яко;)

  • this is my favorite wagon followed closely by the Volvo Xc70 and the audi A6

  • i like subarus but i will never convert from mitsubishi and their awc and s-awc even professionals call it the worlds best 4wd system...sorry subaru your still good though!

  • ahaha look at the tires..... the vdc system shifting torque everywhere :) lol

  • thanks for the video. for those who do not know subarus, they will be amazed by what these cars can do. and i like to add that i like the design of this outback.

  • @jungleguybest Thank you!!!

  • @vul4o7 the driver wasnt stuck...the snow was hugging the subaru cause its a great car. =)

  • @jungleguybest 05-09 is the best looking legacy/outback generation by far :)

  • @jungleguybest This driver does not have the VDC off. You can tell with by the way the wheel is spinning. He does not know his vehicle. With the driver assist activated a subaru will not perform in off road conditions or snow. Anyone who uses their outback in the snow knows this.

  • @jabjmc not to forget that this car even if it has better ground clearence than other cars,it still doesn't have enough like some offroaders like the jeep, that's why in some condtions it seems less performer than jeep, but tractionwise it is very capable,we just need to know how to use it.

  • That car isn't stuck....the dumbass behind the wheel is.

  • Very pretty looking car. :)

  • @druddock you are right my friend!!! It's 2 feet of snow there.... and down the road was a truck stuck in the snow so thats why we had to turn around!!! :)

  • Cant get a Subaru stuck for to long

  • with 3 passengers, I don't believe that would have happened. I love my Outback.

  • Overall, does it perform well in the snow? Like moderate snow.

  • @spencer769 i live in vermont where we get a lot of snow with twisty roads, deep slush, ice you name it, scoobies with a set of snow tires is ideal for it. thats why every one has one up here :)

  • @zooyork263 I love the car by the way. Those Outbacks have ideal ground clearance and a kickbutt boxer engine. Very nice :)

  • @spencer769 Overall this car perform more than well on moderate snow ( besides this video which i made for fun :) it's like small SUV :) just need good set of winter tires and good to go!!! ground clearance is like most SUV

  • @spencer769 alot better

  • yeah he has summer tires. What an idiot trying summer tyers on snow .

  • @Lycras The tires are ALLSEASON..... And this

    'idiot' is ME :)

  • @vul4o7 FYI... ALL SEAON TIRES = USELESS WINTER TIRES Trust me, I thought ALL SEAON tires would handle well in the snow... Boy was I wrong...

  • @adamworth1979 I will agree with you on that!!! :)

  • @adamworth1979 One exception, the Nokian WR G2. The only "all season tires" that actually work in the winter, yet, they arent very good on MPG in the summer so its kinda opposite. Check my channel and watch my subaru plow through 10 inches of snow on these babies.

  • auto transmission?

  • @CheradenineZakalwe 5 speed Manual

  • It is shame for subaru. Summer tyres?

  • Yes, Subaru is nothing compared to Jeep!

  • the subaru was never stuck, the driver is the 1 who was stuck. if you put a bad driver into any amazingly capable car, all of a sudden the car isnt so capable anymore....

so many times you wasted momentum tsk tsk....

  • @Flipster1325 yeap your right

  • @Flipster1325 yes you are right but don't forget also that i dont have winter tires on an at that time this car was almost new so i was easy with it :)

  • @vul4o7 You should put that in the description :)

  • @Flipster1325 why cant subaru owners admit their car can get stuck, i own a land cruiser and i can admit ive gotten stuck before

  • @nelson4568 because its a disgrace to the car, and the owner who paid good money for it. yes it can get stuck it is not a tank or has immortality but never in these pathetic conditions/situations. check it ==> watch?v=Pi5kfsbpnAE

  • all i have to say is get some better tires man.... my subaru been threw some deep snow and its the same year...

  • was never stuck, its a scooby

  • lol kakuf snqg napravo Me4ta !

  • @w0r7h nali tuka na 2 prusta i obqvavaha bedstveno polojenie a tazi zima napravo ni zatrupa :) i nie mnogo mu se radvahme

  • I've owned alot of cars, (family does auto body) and the subarus are the ones I own the longest. They really are well made cars. I can drive right by people who are in 4x4 trucks and they're still stuck, and I'm smiling and waving at them, lmao. Sure I offer to help, I make nice ruts for them to get out with :p

  • When/ If you get stuck, I find it best to rock the car back n' forth until you can free yourself (rather than heavy acceleration). Rocking the car often eliminates needing someone outside to push the vehicle and it often prevents the wheels from digging the car into a larger hole. *FYI: "Rocking" is what the car started to do at 0:37

  • the most important rule in deep snow is NEVER STOP, when you are stopping, you have lost the game. First ore second gear, and always be smoot with the accelerator. Then you can go everywhere^^

  • Bratko, chestito ti nova kola. A az v Houston za snjg si mechtaia. Aide jivo-zdravo.

  • @camoben to i tuka po princip nqmame, ama taq godina rekordni snegovaleji :)

  • Good choice to get the 5 MT; the torque split is better front to back. Your technique is not very good, but the Subaru is great! There were a few times I thought you buried it for sure, but you got lucky.

  • @snowrocket The MT better? I'm sure the auto can more accurately vary the torque than the MT LSD? The MT has 50:50 split but so does the E4AT & E5AT.

  • Yes it is 4 cylinder 5 MT, but my friend's cherokee stuck over there :)

  • a 6 cylinder Outback would just fly over that snow. GC is ok. Wranglers are the only real Jeeps.

  • Thats true, but also a have this car for couple months so far so i try to be easy on the clutch.... also comparing to the European models the American doesn't have LOW gear.

  • Its not stuck. What are you talking about? Or is this a joke? Is that a 4 cylinder?

  • :) i let Subaru do the thinking :)

  • @vul4o7 Voicho kade e towa be ?

  • @trancemasterwien USA Alexandria

  • Subaru has a TOP AWD, but you dont know, how to drive in snow, you must THINK
