  • Is the Vitamin B12 in this Nutritional yeast active and ready for the body as a nutrient?

  • Another ah ha for me...been taking folic acid for my hair loss, just not the right kind...having yeast problems years ago I thought, "can't do Brewers yeast", but learning much here....Not digesting meat well, don't get the B's or folic acid in well...Bought this brand and it was darn good too..

  • Nutritional yeast looks similar to brewer's yeast, but it is very different and has a very different taste. Brewers yeast is bittr and nutritional yeast has a cheesy taste.

You are calling what is in your hand Nutritional yeast & Brewer's yeast, as if they are oe and the same and they are not!

  • @hipretty Lewis-Labs Brewers Yeast is NUTRITIONAL YEAST.

  • 2) If you google: brewers yeast vegsource (dot) com

you will see a post "VegSource: Re: vegan recipes with Brewer's yeast needed!" And there Jo Stepaniak states it is not.

Also google: brewers yeast nutritional yeast. one hit after another states that they are not. On wiki the statement "Nutritional yeast, unlike Brewers yeast, does not contain chromium, an essential mineral that was identified as the active component of Glucose Tolerance Factor" which clearly means it's no same.

  • 3) on bulk food (dot) com/ yeast (dot) htm

    they describe the difference as

Brewers yeast, is a bitter by-product of the brewing industry that has a high nutritional profile, but typically not as high as Red Star® Nutritional Yeast which is grown for maximized food nutritional benefits.

  • I bought this today. 3 cans. The taste isn't bad at all, i now will make it my daily vitamin to boost my cells.

  • Shane does Lewis labs brewers yeast contain all the vitamins/minerals needed and no need for a multi-vitamin/mineral formula?.

  • When anyone buys organic, they are by definition being a subject to marketing BS.

  • @theUSER101...you have no clue about organic produce. The three main (and sometimes only) ingredients used in commercial fertilizers, Nitrogen/Phosphorus/Potassium, make for a nice looking product but pretty much leaves them void of ANY nutrition. Plus, you get all the herbicides and pesticides with commercial produce. Although some pesticides are allowed to be used in organic produce, they are used much less or not at all. Plus, the nutrition of organic produce TOPS any commercial produce.

  • @azindustriesinc I hate when organic lovers come up with some theory as to why organic food is more nutritious that conventional food. The fact is, it's not! If you look at the science, organic food is rarely tested to be more nutritious. The overwhelming majority or the studies show they are equal in nutrition. Pesticides are closely regulated and are constantly tested for human safety. Organic food is regulated by the Agricultural marketing services, it is by definition marketing.

  • Live brewing yeast was called Godisgood. The Lord's prayer (Christian) includes the line "Give us this day our daily bread". Drink "real ale", it contains a little of the live yeast and so counters the flushing of B vit's by alcohol by replenishing them as you drink. It is very difficult to get a hangover on real ale alone. I think hangovers are the effects of caramel consumption.

  • As a mother, I am infuriated right now! Why would they put folic acid in multi & prenatal vitamins, cereals, or anything else if it is a cancer risk? Shouldn't there be some kind of warning on these products?

  • @mimig1000 Good question, Drug and Supplement industry doesn't care about our health, they want us sick so they can make money off our suffering. Most companies aren't required too disclose their toxins, a lot of trickery and sneaky advertising is what they do.

  • Is brewers yeast the same as yeast I naturally want and need to avoid......I just got off an anti yeast diet, and it helped me greatly...but I am wondering about this brewers yeast if I could take it without the complications I just got rid of.....any comments are greatly appreciated

  • Folate sources: dark-green leafy vegetables, fruits, dried beansand peas

  • actually that rambling part was pretty funny. Somehow it showed your humanity.

Umm...I think you should do that, if it strikes your fancy.

It the product is TOO polished, it doesn't feel real.

  • I JUST BOUGHT LEWIS LABS BREWERS YEAST, AND IN THE CONTESTS WAS FOLIC ACID, IS THIS RIGHT?

  • @XXTREMEGUNS CORRECTION=CONTENTS, NOT CONTEST,LOL

  • @XXTREMEGUNS The industry doesn't differentiate between the two...It reads folic acid, but means folate. You're good. See the testing via my book, Over-The-Counter Natural Cures.

  • @ThePeoplesChemist TY FOR THE INFO, ONE MORE QUESTION, BY USING BREWERS YEAST CAN IT HELP CONTROL DIABETES WITH EATING RIGHT AND EXERCISE?

  • I got a question. In the Brewers Yeast, is the amino acids in it naturally in it or is that added? I'm trying to look for an alternative to my Whey Protein Powder.

  • @GarretC1 Its natural amino acids.

  • Thank you for this video. I began taking brewers yeast years ago when I read Gayelord Hauser's books. I saw him give a speech once. He was in his eighties then. He looked incredible. He says to take brewers yeast three times a day. By the way, brewers yeast gives me noticeable energy. I take it with tomato juice and a dash of hot sauce.

  • Can you give the source of this information. BTW you did say "Brewers Yeast"?

  • I just discovered your site and I plan on placing myself in my man bunker all day tomorrow and reading/viewing all your stuff - excellent!

Question on this video - what type of Vegetable juice? Homemade or commercial, canned, carton?

  • @flipflopperful Get it as clean as possible!

  • why does it still say folic acid on the back of the can? why won't they put 'folate' ? Folate is nowhere to be found on the can, but folic acid still is......... However i agree i would much rather get my folic acid from brewers yeast than a labratory.

  • More great advice from you Shane. I threw out all of those nasty synthetics after I read your OTC Natural Cures book. I take my Brewer's Yeast on a daily basis and feel safe knowing that it's the real thing.

  • Shane, you are awesome!

  • Another Great Vid... Love the info Brotha!

"Be a Smart Health Consumer, Not a Dumbass"

"Education not Marketing"... thats what I tell everyone.

Off subject but what do you recommend for migraines? Butterbur?

  • What a delivery...great info....towards the end was the best...freakin funny!

  • folic acid is a synthetic drug, Sir?

  • Can I mix this with my raw eggs and spirulina for breakfast?

  • can you you take follate w/ a multivitamin containing folic acid?

  • @shylildude No, don't take synthetic folic-acid with FOLATE. Use FOLATE.

  • hi i bought folic acid because you said to take it in your sleep like a drunk bum video

  • Oh another question. Is "1 a day for men" safe to take?

  • Thanks for the video! Hey, what do you think about those "Green tea fat burner" pills? Are they a scam?
