I think he chose the A-12 because it has 7 shots, and thus easier to hit and kill targets, you can actually do the mission with just the edelweiss and shamrock though, thats how I did it. Marmota can only go so far each turn so it will always take about 7 turns (not sure) to get to the spot.

Thanks for reminding me that there are crates on both sides and I have to shoot them both. Even though I don't know why you fired the machine gun instead of the cannon, since that worked efficiently for me.

Why does Alicia fire 7 shots instead of 5? Maybe I'm a n00b but i'd like to know.

She has the Gallian-A12 equipped, which grants her 7 shots instead of 5. It's obtained through the Firepower upgrades in the rifle section of R&D.

Oh... well, I prefer accuracy over power. They'll die if you hit them in the head anyway right? =) But thanks anyway!

Normally I would agree, but by the time you get the A12, your level is good enough to have accuracy sufficient enough for reliable headshots. And having an extra two shots gives more of a chance to hit the head.

Besides, I prefer using my snipers to get long-range headshots anyway. A-ranked accuracy sniper rifles can reliably hit the head from well across the map.
