My grandad died 4 months ago and he was like a dad to me, he would drop anything to help someone out if they needed a hand. I saw him everyday and when he died it was unexpected and it was horrible watching him doe knowing I couldn't do anything. I cry every night in my bedroom and I sometimes sleep at his grave. If I am really crying about him I pretend he is next to me and talk to him about everything. Over 400 people came to his funeral just goes to show what a good man he was :(

@thrill72208 I lost my dad 2 yrs ago. My oldest was five when Dad lost his battle with cancer, so I understand the pain of losing more than your dad, but also a grandpa for your child. It hurts. (I think maybe my whole life it will hurt.)

But I don't think it's selfish to question God when you're hurting. You've lost so much and there's no good answer for why. We just have to trust and believe and keep our dad's memories alive, for ourselves and our children. (((hugs))) and prayers

my dad died two weeks befroe my birthday and i never had the chance to say goodbye i also never greived for him. it never hit me till they day of his funeral when i let go of the cord once his coffin was in the grave and i just started to cry i cried allday and it took me till the next morning to stop crying i went to his graveside knelt down and spoke as if i was speaking to him and said my goodbye then and i still find it hard almost 3yrs later to stand at his graveside and say bye as i leave.
