  • You guys are so lucky. But wow thats low. Hopefully you are going to give it a nice paint job. What type of engine do you have in the back?

Was this at a recent Mopar show? Thanks.

  • @pezmaner1 yeah we had it set far too low at that stage. We've raised it to a better height. The car wasn't scraping there, the sounds you hear at the tires on the vinyl and metal of the trailer. We've completed the restoration, and you can see more videos through my channel. Or search for "Wraith car drive by" for our best one yet. Engine is a 4.8 V6 from a pontiac in this video, but we have a Dodge 2.2 for swap. No recent shows, but we went to the Carlisle PA Nationals show last summer.

  • Almost starts to look like a c4 vette after staring at it from the front for a while.

  • hello but how does the speed dodge turbo interceptor m4s but it goes very fast??

  • Why is it all the m4s replica have Lamborghini doors when the movie car had modified gull wing style??

  • @SirTHUMPA The M4S, itself, has scissor (lambo) doors. There were two race props for the movie, only one had the gull wing doors. The prop we had did not have that option, and we didn't want to damage the body to make it gull wing, so we made it scissor style like the Dodge pace car.

  • nissan z?

  • @iHeartSar3s Movie prop made from the molds of an 80's Dodge prototype called the M4S Turbo Interceptor

  • I was 14 when this movie came out and just recently I was trying to think of the name of this movie and I typed in PPG Turbo Interceptor movie in the browser and wouldn't ya know! I loved this car when I was a kid.

  • Man brings back memorie's. Remember theres PPG Deltron paint on the Wraith car back then. I believe it was a Radience Tri-Coat .It was our Concept Car when i was a PPG Rep back then.Nice job you guys did.love it ..Pce :)

  • @ASH6977 Thanks, very much! You'll see, from our other videos, we tried to get as close as we could to the original M4S colors while still holding the feel it had from the movie. We appreciate your feedback!

  • CHRYSLER DODGE PPG M4S "TURBO INTERCEPTOR": wow

  • Wow thats awesome man! wish more people knew about the movie

  • Gorgeous! I would love a Kit body for my 95 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. Would be my dream car.

  • I wish you'd let me make a mold out of that prop . What a nice prototype that was

  • @Veikra We're working up a kit idea, actually. If you keep up with our site, you might see some more information on that in the coming months. It's been a long process, but we're making some good progress on that lately. (thewraithcar [dot] com)

  • What wheels are those?

  • @300ZXCRAZE The ones seen here were a Pontiac GTA mesh rim. The accurate rims for the Dodge concept were BBS racing rims, which look very similar.

  • @escaperoute1 Thank you, I have been looking for that mesh look, I know in the 80's it was a popular look.

  • @300ZXCRAZE No worries. :)

  • Dodge M4s ftw. I would love one of these cars but I also want it to sound the same like in the movie. Only engine I have heard that sounds kind of similar (apart from a motorbike:p) is an audi quattro 5 cyl.

  • @intheshitter We're trying to work on getting a kit car out there, if you're interested. Most of the engine sounds for the movie were dubbed, but i'm sure you could find the right exhaust system to get close to it.

  • @escaperoute1 It's possible with active mufflers, pretty much work like noise canceling headphone. If you don't get the timing right it create some pretty out of world sounds. But i've only seen those used on production lines and large machineries

  • kit car?

  • @malevolenceXXXensues Original prop car from The Wraith. We're working to get a kit in order with all the demand that we've had.

  • @escaperoute1 hey how 'bout that

  • Why's it white?

  • @falcoperegrinus82 The car was not completed at this point. The color you see was when the car was in primer getting ready for paint.

  • If you ever need a kidney you know what I want in return! That's all I'm not picky! :-) lol

  • was this custom built? i sooo want this car. its a dodge right? how would you make these? alot of questions but i love the turbo interceptor!<3

  • @iLeannMarie This was one of the original movie props. We had to restore it on a custom chassis. We're working on ideas for a kit car, but keep watching our site. thewraithcar(dot)com

  • @lt1fan94 Most of the Interceptor sounds were dubbed, but we're working on it.

  • @escaperoute1 charlie sheen's motor cycle sounded like the wraith too from there i knew the sound was dubbed

  • Maaan, you own this???? :D SICK!!! I must tell you that when I was a little kid, my stepdad had this movie and it was totally friggin awsome, I mean omg, moar badass then knight rider. Just found the movie again a few years ago. Sad that there aint a bluray out for this hehe. Memories :)))

  • @HousedanceTanL Thanks man! If you want to see more you can go to our website thewraithcar(dot)com

  • if i ever win Publishers Clearinghouse or the Lottery, i want one of these cars! i used to own an 86 Shelby Charger and that thing was pretty sick w/the non intercooled turbo 2.2. i'd want this w/the GLHS version 2.2 w/the variable vane turbo & intercooler! or maybe even the Mitsubishi 2.5Ltr like in the Conquest TSI. there was a guy in Connecticutt w/one in a Dodge mini-van that he got to do 12sec in a 1/4mi through tweaking it and his wife drove the kids to school in on the weekdays! for real!

  • to bad they only made 30 of them

  • @spartan6953 Actually there was one Dodge prototype and six stunt cars for the film. But yes, there needed to be more.

  • YES!!!

  • omg i want this car!!!

  • @packofqtips There are molds made of the body, but we're looking for a good kit company to help make the cars. If you're interested in a kit, we might be able to produce something for you. Drop me a personal message on my account if you're interested.

  • Very interested in body panels. Please keep us updated!

  • how did you get the sound its awsome

  • WHAT WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO SELL IT FOR HONESTLY IF MONEY IS OF NO IMPORTANCE WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO SET A PRICE DOES THIS ONE HAVE A TWIN TURBO 4CYL ?

  • @petemontanapictures Pontiac GTA rims. Same style used on the prototype and the movie car.

  • how did you get this car?a kit? if i wanted it how would i go about it? thanks

  • @SICKshotSHANE I'll send you a message. This one isn't a kit, it's the original body / movie prop. A kit program is still in the works.

  • @escaperoute1 hey guys i seen lots of car kits fit cadillacs what do yall think ?

  • @escaperoute1 Is there anyway I could get a Wraith?

  • @82porsche928 There is a kit program in the works. Drop me a private note here and I will give you some other information.

  • I can't believe I just watched this guy scrape my dream car like it was a Ford Taurus. USED FREAKING BOARDS! 6 dollars at home Depot place them at the front the front wheels so it can ride down properly off the ramp.

  • @ladygodia See other comments, but i'll go ahead and post it here too. "It rained that day, some of the trailer door was wet from loading and unloading the car. What you're hearing is the wheels trying to slide on the linoleum finish and metal finish as he's edging the car down the ramp." On this unload it cleared, but we had problems with previous attempts.

  • WTF? Why didnt you put the tailgate down beyond the ridge of the garage? Think before you take action. Poor car.

  • @joshua6200 The car cleared. It rained that day, some of the trailer door was wet from loading and unloading the car. What you're hearing is the wheels trying to slide on the linoleum finish and metal finish as he's edging the car down the ramp.

  • whats up with the mexican with a pink tee shirt

  • what dodge is that base model? socal

  • @rziepke79 Its the Dodge M4S prototype made in 1982. You can youtube search for M4S PPG pace car and there is a video for a time trial.

  • How much did it cost for Dodge to make you one Turbo Interceptor?

  • @trunkzdbz Dodge will not make any more of these cars. We're working on an accurate kit, but the process has been slow. Keep watching for new videos from me for updates.

  • @evil2392 at least 1.5 mill lol

  • its a shame dodge didnt mass produce this car... i would have bought one.

  • My God, you own the the single biggest automotive wet dream of my life. I have fantasized about owning that car or having dodge build me one since that movie came out. Very well-done job on replicating that beautiful machine. I'm so envious!

  • @syncys haha! Thanks man. Keep checking back with us, we should have more info on the kits soon.

  • Did you make the door open any faster since this vid? Really nice job!

  • @LiLsCo0tZ Thanks! We can adjust the accuator, and it wouldn't take much to do it. We've kept it relatively slow for the sake of not messing up the custom paint and such.

  • @escaperoute1 How come if the door opens quicker it would ruin the paint job??? I don't understand

  • I wonder if Charlie Sheen owns one.

  • after i sit here and look at it I think pontiac GTA and fiero! hum

  • There was a kit car company makeing those, they sold for $100,000 , I don't know if they still are around.

  • There was a scam company that was quickly shut down, and another custom car builder was trying to sell a modified Wraith II but that project fell apart. That's all i know about any other kit programs. We talked with Dodge a couple of weeks back and we're still trying to iron out details. It's been a long time coming, but we're working hard on making as much of an accurate kit as we can.

  • Mopar ftw. What happend to the original, when I was young I've seen iit at autorama in Detroit. After, the movie came out.

  • @DALE97DSM The original M4S is at the Chrysler museum in Michigan. As far as we know, this is the only original movie prop left.

  • any ideas on where the lost car could be?

  • @MultiGetitdone We're still trying to figure that one out. There are a couple of bodies that were modified into different kits, but they never took off. I know that there's a real beat up mock copy of one on Craigslist in the Biloxi MS area. I don't know if it was made from molds on the other prop or not.

  • why wouldn't you have the ramp drop all the way into the garage? IDIOTS

  • I can tell knowone that has commented is a fan of the movie. The movie only had 1 car to film with it was the prototype from the factory. Look it up! The real car had gullwing doors and not lambo. The real car also had a spoiler made into the body of the rear engine car. Sad this guy can't unload the car without scrapping. Its also Fraud advertising it as a real production car. Obvious this guy is trying to sell a kit.

  • @sleepwalker29 Eeehhh wrong!!! You're a wannabe FAN lol

They actually built 6 of them:)

The Turbo Interceptor Driven by the Wraith was the Dodge M4S concept car, which cost and estimated $1,500,000.6 prop cars were built, 4 of which were dummies and were destroyed during filming. The other two built were used as stunt cars.

I got the info from "thewraithcar dot kom" ;-)

  • @tranjohn I said I was a fan of the movie, not the history. The movie does not tell you the stuff your telling me so you sound retarded. Also the lower spoiler on the front nose is missing on this car. If you were a true fan with the movie you could watch it and press pause, too see the front spoiler before making comments about non-fans. Cheers!

  • @sleepwalker29 Why u talking about the front spoiler now??? U were saying that this car didn't have the rear spoiler...and i'm a fan of the movie that's how i know all this:)

  • @tranjohn I'm talking about the front spoiler, because me and the owner of this video were talking about it, in a private message, A&B conversation NOSEY! Why are you posting rant after rant? You say your a huge fan, and bad mouth people on here, and didn't notice the front spoiler on this car was missing? That's funny!

  • @sleepwalker29 It does have the spoiler ur talkin bout

  • @sleepwalker29 oh yeah and the real one didn't have gull wing doors...it had the Lambo style just like this

  • where did you find the car? and how much did it run you?

  • how much did it cost ya to build this replica?

  • @ferretmaster22 It's actually one of the original movie props, so it took a lot of trial and error. In all it was about 8 years or so to restore it.

  • 16x8 Pontiac GTA wheels... sweet!

  • @NedacFilms Gotta keep it real! lol

  • @escaperoute1 those are actually some of the hottest wheels ever produced in my opinion... Were you guys able to use the full set, or four fronts or four backs due to the different offsets? Love the concept guys!!!

  • @NedacFilms We used a full set. The owner found them via craigslist and ebay.

  • BTW Where is that cool suit charlie sheen wore in the movie?

  • @furrmie6 We've got that too! you can see it on our site.

  • I was a fan of that car the day I saw the movie in the theater in 1985! I always wondered what happened to the car all these years. I hope the other car is found soon! Where on earth did you find yours?

  • so did ya get it painted r what??..... been watching ur site guys since bout yr n half ago, didnt even realise ya had this vid up till I typed in the Wrath Car, im sure ya got it sprayed, but can we see an overall vid PLSSSS!!!!, omg I love dis car, how much did it cost to make a replica???

  • I LOVE THIS CAR

  • We found one of the original Charlie Sheens that were in the movie, and we're currently restoring him, as well!

  • A total of 5 wraith movie cars where made for the film 2 where exploded for the film,1 was donated to the smithsonian museum. The 4th car was found by a man who discovered the car under a tarp and tryed to restore the car,I take it's this is the same guy who made this video. The 5th car remains lost no one has claimed it yet.

  • Tell me somthing my is the hood vents and side air intakes non functional? Why do you have front profile lamborghini hindged doors instead of roof hinged hydrolics doors like the real wraith car?The engine sounds like crap if it's the 2.2turbo EFI found in the dodge daytona C.S 86'.I see that the spoiler is fixed carbon fiber and not adjustable.

  • The hood vents and side intakes were functional on the original Dodge prototype, the movie props were formed to match, but don't function. The doors in the movie were flimsy, and had no structure, we made the lambo doors to copy the M4S way of opening and closing to keep the car structurally sound. The engine is not a 2.2, it's a V6. The movie cars had a simple VW engine, the existing frame wouldn't support a 2.2, so we dropped what we had. Spoiler isn't carbon fiber, it's composite. No adjust.

  • Oh my God, the scraping sound just hurts !!! Why would you not just re-position the trailer were the ramp actually enters the garage?

  • Most of what you hear is tires squeaking on the ramp, but we did have a little scraping just in front of the back wheels. The ramp is adjusted, and we have air shocks now. It's all fixed. lol

  • They just re-released it today! Best Buy has copies. We were asked to do an interview for the new DVD but couldn't make it work out. Great extras though, go pick it up!

  • The Dodge 2,2l 16V turbo Pace Car (Intercepter)

  • perfect...

  • Awsome! Thanks for the down load!!

  • I love it in black, and i also love, how you cant see inside!

  • @kregzdeM3 let me guess you're a wraith fan?

But yeah i agree it¨s criminal to have a sweet car like this in white.

    And i ain't even a car person

  • Im not really a fan of it. I love the way it looks only.

  • It was in primer. The car is done now. You can see more at our site, if you like.

  • Pontiac Trans Am GTA wheels :D

  • it would be awesome if the car done that formula 1nish sound..just liek fromt he movie...i loved it....

  • @felipeopinion lol yeah when i was younger and when i played with my car toys i used to try to imitate the sound from The Wraith car haha

  • Omg I love this...Even more than a Ferrari or a Lambo. I love its design.

  • I think in my opinion, the body design is ahead of it's time.

  • ich muss schon sagen der turbo intercepter von chrysler ein echt schönes auto hätte auch gerne einen aber ich weiss nicht wo es einen gibt

  • OMG, best car.

  • I wish the car from The Car had been preserved like this :( Its disappeared.

  • Someone posted a picture of the wraith on a z32 forum earlier as its kinda similar shape to a kitted zed on youtube, i knew nothing about the car or the film until then and ive just watched the whole film here on youtube and visited your site, LEGEND!!! car is stunning and im looking forward to seeing it with a coat of paint, keep up the good work guys from Davie in Scotland.

  • If you want to see exactly what's in the film, then you want to see the car explode and then reappear too? lol You're talking movie magic. And hey, you can be picky. That's no big deal. We know that our restoration isn't going to please everybody, but it is being restored as close as we can get it to the look of the movie car. This video was shot over six months ago, it wasn't even complete. You'll just have to check back in the future and see how much closer we get.

  • Huh. That's funny, because it's not a full "replica". It's the original prop car. The engine had to be replaced because the original was ripped from it anyway. And the engine sounds were dubbed into the film, they didn't come from the car you see. lol I don't suppose you have even looked at our website, you'll see all the restoration photos. Some as far back as when we got the car and it had some of the original paint on it. Think what you will, but it's one of the real cars from the film.

  • Absolutely gorgeous. Dad got this movie for me about 15yrs ago as a boy and I fell in love with the movie. my second fav movie next to days of thunder. You sir have made my day for building this car and making this video! Thank You!

  • That is one sick car! I fell in love with that car after watching "The Wraith." How long did it take you guys to build it? Kudos man! That car is great!

  • @BattleRattle155 It's taken a while, a little under 10 years. The car, when we got it, had little more than an engine, a seat, wheels, etc. We started basically from scratch and built it from the ground up. A lot of trial and error considering we didn't know much about how the original prototypes were built.

  • your lucky to get one from the movie....ive been doing it from scratch lol now with the new body kits out makes it easier i will die from to much fiberglass in my lungs

  • the wraith car? is that supposed to sound like someone with a lisp saying race car?

  • The Wraith was a movie back in the 80s starring Charlie Sheen and this car...

  • this verry car or a car just like this one

  • I beleive this is one of 6 cars made for the movie. 4 were prop cars (which ended up being detroyed) and 2 were used for stunts/racing scenes... This is one of the 2 cars left. I've heard recently that the original company (PPG?) built a few more. Some are on display. There are supposedly 4 originals left in existence...

  • Isnt it a Dodge M4S?

  • It sure is. A Dodge M4S Turbo Interceptor. ;)

  • Oh and if you want to look it up...The name of this car is the Dodge M4S Turbo Interceptor. It had a 2.2 Liter, 4 cyclinder, Intercooled, twin turbo charged motor making 440hp. Cosworth built the head...the turbos were Garrett T25s... It did a top speed of 194mph...12.9 in the quater and 0-60 in 4.1 seconds...

  • Lets see the proof .the car, the pics, the road tests, and the vid of this car on track :) ? Thank you :)

  • what are the headlights out of an oldsmobile? Fiero wheels?

  • What engine did you drop in it?

  • It's a 4.8 liter V6 for the original show car. We're going to make a street worthy version. I'm not sure what we'll drop in that one.

  • Why not a 5.7 liter hemi with some bolt ons? I almost said small block chev, but remembered this is a Chrysler, and a T56 trans. That would be the whip.

  • This is the tragedy of CHRYSLER...

They could have been making cars like this all along... They did not and now look at them. This car is just Awesome like the VIPER is Awesome and I bet that CHRYSLER could build this car - with lower door seals - for under $50K.

  • It's fucking beautiful!

  • I want it!!

  • This car is awsome. I have always thought this car was waaay ahead of it's time for looks.

  • LOL! it's alright bro...I was just bustin your chops. ;-) no harm, no foul.

  • still for the 80's thats nothing special..im not an expert on the 80's but the 90's and 50's-70's and some of the new stuff..not that import junk...i just think they could have gotten a better car. and the car itself could have been better...it was after all going to be dodges super car...and i bet the 70's le mans racers would have dusted it

  • On a personal note I think the switch from gullwing doors to scissor style doors was a small stroke of genius..gives it even more of an aggressive look. Good show...can't wait to see details of the finished car painted and all.

  • @Lossforwords78: well...when you build yours you can make it sound anyway you want to.

  • well where's the fire song

  • where can i get one?

  • Keep watching our site, we might be releasing information about kits in the next few months.

  • It kinda looks like a concept dodge stealth

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THAT MOVIE!!!! How can I get a chance to see it in person?

  • dodge let them spin this thing around blow donuts, and smoke the tires, and if you heard about the new camaro in in the first transformers movie. chevy sent a rep with the car, and he flipped out when the guy and girl sat on the hood at the end and made out. but allowed it cuz the 'damage' was already done. WTF so one of a kinda dodge just says hve fun. chevy has a few thousand and flips shit over some finger prints.fuck me what happened to all the balls? what happen to the vanishing point days

  • its a nice looking car, but dodge could have done a lot better. would i like to own one...not really. but if some one tossed me the keys and said have fun....that car would see more air time then a 747 runnin the red eye. 2.2L twin turbo.....why do you never see any good cars in movies? i mean no like real super cars. no Mclaren f1's no GT's,40's, or the 90, no buggati's, and whens the last time you seen a ferrari in a moviie doing some real driving...i cant believe dodge let them...1/2

  • You would have wanted on in the 80's when it was unveiled.

  • hey since they got in their garage. you guys are spray paint it black/purple are you.

  • It will be painted as close as we can get it to how it looked in the movie, yes. It's just in primer as you see it in the video here.

  • not a bad car. 2.2L twin turbo....could have made it a bit ballsier. but hey its a dodge. i would have liked to see the ford Gt90 in the movie... but one of a kinda multi million dollar car. oh and you guys should look into putting plywood over that ramp or thin blocks under it. idk if thats the original car, or replica but sounds like major scrapping on the front end. and i wanna keep her in hte best of shape

  • Are you the Guys from Kansas who has 1 of 2 Actual Prop cars that survived the movie and are now making Replicas based off of it. If so I've been all over the website and have been looking forward to see the finished car.

  • That's us! We're looking forward to showing it off. Thanks for visiting the site!

  • cool! too bad this car has no sound like in the movie. BTW i dont get it. is this YOUR car? O_o

  • I wish it were, but i may get a copy of it to fix up later. I help the guy who owns the car, do his PR work, answer e-mails, moderate his website etc.

  • very cool cam man i love this car av got a model ov it

  • This has been my Dream car since I saw the Wraith as a child. Great Job! Beautiful car!

  • man i love this car wish i can own it

  • Whatever the case, nobody should be bashing anyone. Not on my videos. I'll gladly welcome all fans, but play nice and respect each others opinions.

  • thing is sick,,loved it int he wraith

  • this car do not have the glass hood like wraith car and its white nice car but it would look better in the black purple iredescent color had a ford probe had close to the wraith car color it nice car by the way anyone could make the car if you know how to make molds the cost to make the molds would be about 3-6k and mount on a dodge frame i think the best would be a dodge challenger any year even the 2009 challenger would work not to mention it has the hemi
