  • What camera are you using?

  • @aaluz Panasonic Lumix TZ5

  • Why are they always swimming towards the glass? I mean that they act like they would like to get throught it. After few days they should learn that this is impossible, but they do it all the time.

  • Nice tank, I found four 2 days ago. They are the size of a quarter. I have no clue how to keep them as a pet:/ or how much water in tank or what to feed them, because worms and pellets are way to big for them to eat

  • @Brandonsk33n u should feed them reptile sticks. u can get them at walmart where they sell fish food or at a pet store. all they need is water, a tank, and a dock or something for them to crawl on and dry off

  • supper cute

  • my res baby spends almost all day under his basking dock and when he is swimming he darts away when he sees me ive had him fora month when will he warm up to me?

  • Wheres Your Heater? Im Worried.

  • @POLSKAKID10 not necessarilty, if u can maintain th water temp any other way, u do need th bulbs or natural sunlight else they get shell damage..

  • turtle: Are you stalking meh?

    you: no...

  • what do they eat

  • Awwe!! Too cute!! I want one but i have a dog already :( but if they aren't so hard to take care of i could maybe get one how much do they usually cost at pet stores?

  • Check out animal planet ofr more info, but here's some. He/She will get up to 12" in diameter, need a 55g tank and live 50-70 years. If you purchased that turtle from ANY business they broke Federal Law and should be reported to the FDA. That law is in place to prevent salmonella poisoning in children, and has been on the books since 1975.

  • what do you feed your red eared slider mine is a baby and onbly an inch and he wont eat the small pellets or stuff like that he only eats fish food flakes hah

  • hey i cought a baby and he wont eat and he like cnat realy open his eyes but when he does he likes to swim help on how to feed and if eye thing is a proble

  • @MrMage1314 Does your turtle have plenty of water to feed in? Red eared sliders live in water. They have a stationary tongue and need to feed in/under water in order to push the food down their throat.

  • @lortoad o thx

  • @MrMage1314

Most babies caught from the wild will not survive

  • @MrMage1314 Make sure you are keeping both the water and the air around him warm. Turtles are cold blooded and cannot survive in cold temperatures. Go to red ear slider dot com and do some research on their proper living conditions. Being unresponsive or inactive is a sign that they could be shutting down or trying to hibernate, and at certain temperatures called the death zone they will be unable to hibernate but too cold to be active. Please do some research and take care of your turtle.

  • i am going to get one are they hard to take care of?

  • @03narutosasuke they aren't too terribly hard to take care of, but the tanks do require regular maintenance. I spend about an hour each month emptying his aquarium to change the water, clean the rocks, filter, etc.

  • @lortoad ok thanks!

  • Im gonna get one are they hard to take care of?

  • How fast do these turtles grow, like within a year will it be plate size?

i heard it takes 10 years for them to grow and the pet outlet told me that

  • they grow pretty slowly. id say about an 1-1.5 inches a year. maybe though idk the actual sizes. they stop growing at around 10-12 inch for female, and 8-10 for male. i think
