They are so cute!!! I have a GSD that is 6 and she does this too, only a lot louder. :-) For those who think it's hurting thier ears, that shows that you don't have a clue.. Dogs do this to comunicate and bond with their pack. A wolf that howls can get a reply from another wolf from over 5 miles away. I'll try to get the vid of my girl howling up on YT today. GSD are the best dogs IMO, they hunt, protect, herd, cuddle, and are easy to train, they do it all!!

That is certainly true, we adopted a GSD-lady (9y/o now) a year ago, she was just diagnosed with cancer last week and requires a lot of care now - but she gave so much to our family during the last year, you can't imagine it, so it's a honor to provide her with this care now that she needs it! Our whole family showers her with love... she deserves it for being the sweetest dog on earth!
