OMG!!! So amazed to do a search and find this! I totally love this track. It was one of my huge songs of the 90s, and as usual with stuff I like, never made a commercial impact. I was lucky enough to get it on CD, and some other tracks (Be Strong, Dreaming of Paradise and Helpless) which I will upload momentarily.
@MarkHilton, I would like to thank you for being part of making an amazing song such as this. So sad it didn't work out for you :(
Hi Mark. This is one cracking track. Heard it played on a local radio station down here in cornwall and promptly bought 2 copies. plugged in my Kwai keyboard and away i went. Really good to hear the background on these things.
Hi. I am Mark, one half of the duo, Odessa. To answer your questions - we are English and were signed up by Warner Bros USA (by there A&R in London) for 5 albums in 1995. We recorded an album, but Falling Rain is the only song I'm happy with. Just before we released the single, there was some political stuff going on between Warners UK and Warner Bros USA. They basically fell out and sacked all their artists signed to the US label. Harsh! We gave up. Susanna Webb was the singer.. Google her...
Hi, if anyone needs a free hi quality copy of this song, email me at anonangelx@yahoo.co.uk I Have 320k MP3, AIFF/FLAC. it's a great record and I'd like to share. Also does anyone know any info on this band? Were they BRitish or German? Did they have any other hits under any other aliases? Why did they disband? If anyone knows anything about this band, please lemme know!
@bboychance Hi this was my mate from Leicester and his girlfriend at the time, I ws living with them when they recorded this, I was at a wedding with him at the weekend, they were stitched up by the record company internal politics between Warner UK and USA
@bigaldo1966 THANKS sooo much for this info... im really interested. how were they stitched up (if you don't mind sharing the experience). it just seems that the talent that produced such a beautiful song like this could never make music again. so sad... couldn't they record under a different name?
i remember buying this the year i started driving ! ( on cassette ) found a copy on e bay, so glad its been posted on here !!!
