I have the same hatchet and I don't like it at all. I thought I would save a few bucks, but in the end it cost me more because I replaced it with something better. I find it does not hold an edge very well, it's too heavy for its' size, and it moves sluggishly. Maybe good for the occasional camping trip or whatever, but for serious bush time it is not a very good hatchet. Maybe you will have better luck with yours. Thanks for the video.
@asssface2000 I'm not so sure about "needing" big name brands for bushcraft, I just know that this particular hatchet is just passable for my needs, not stellar. I don;t really go for the big name trap as you often pay extra just for the name when there are lesser known brands that may offer good quality and value. I bought mine when I was a little short on dough, but given a few extra bucks I would have purchased one with a little better steel and balance.
The plastic handle on my hachet has served me very well. It is actually more reliable than a wood handle in my opinion. That's just many years of experience talkin'...hehe! This hatchet is very good actually :o)
here's some advice I myself should have taken a long time ago, dont buy anything unless your absolutely convinced its the best value for your $, read some reviews, look at youtube vids, you'll be better off in the long run.
If I could get my money back for all the useless shit I dropped cash on either in a wally, canadian tire, Tiger, etc.. believe me I would.
Sometimes you can find good quality gear in unlikely places. If you are careful what you buy, you can get some great deals on useful items as you have here. Take Care.

Good kit; after you chop off your fingers you can use the cord to make a tourniquet and blow on the wistle for help ;-)
