Our first trip to Amsterdam coincided with Queen's Day 2006. What fun! Like Mardi Gras in New Orleans, only crazier. The Dutch sure know how to party...at least in Amsterdam! We now make it our annual trip...not necessariy Queen's Day though. That does need to be experienced at least once!
I know Queensday so well. I love our national holiday day ! Inthe video, again the music is absolutely great as is the music is in a couple of the best party's Amsterdam celebrates on April 30th.
For history lovers: we celebrate the birthday of our Queen Beatrix. In fact it is orginally the birthday of her Mother. When Beatrix became Queen, she honored her mother princess Juliana with keeping this special day in all of our Dutch hearts 'Queensday' in spite of her own birthday.

I was there a very long time ago, when I lived and worked there, I had a great time. This brings back great memories, I must go back. Maybe for good!
