Lone wolverine can chase off a lone tom cougar or even a huge brown bear. And a single domestic cat can chase away a full grown black bear, and i have accounts to prove all that.

It depends on your definition of "lose", i define it as when an animal has done all its best but couldn't make it and dies in the process. In the wild, if a fight is going to occur, both animals must be willing to engage, however in this acc, the tiger might not be even interested in fighting and couldn't walk away before the fight start because it is stuck in a cage, however if it was in the wild, the tiger might have walked away beforehand so if no fight occured, there will be no loser.

They include singapore zoo, minesota metro zoo, big cat rescue, john varty, turpentine wildlife creek, craig packer, Randy miller, Valmik thapar, bowmanville zoo.

Anyway again i would like to say,the reason why animals flee might not be because their rival is much stronger, and the animal which flee might win if it engages in a fight but the reason it doesn't want to stay on might be just because it isn't ready. Have you watched a video of a single male lion chasing off 4 nomadic males? Tell me, if the 4 lions didn't run, would they have defeated the lone male? Obviously, but they are just now ready, not because they will lose.

Lmao, i can tell you something, all cats are classified as "ambushed hunters", so all of them use surprise attack as a way of hunting. However all cats have to fight for territory and for mate, and 25% of male tigers die from fighting for mates, and i can tell you, in all these fights, there is no surprise attacks because big cats don't use ambush in a fight.. So don't bring in theories of tiger ambushing the lion, lmao!

Lol, from Clyde Beatty's book, i presume. I have tens of thousands of quotes from Clyde Beatty because i own all of his books. Although lionfans think that he is their hero, Clyde is actually not bias and feel that Lion vs tiger is a "toss-up" and he will not bet on anyone at the same age and size. He has also given accounts of his tigers, Rogue despite always fleeing from battle, but when cornered, he "fights like a demon" and usually won. I can tell you the pages if you are interested.

Intially i was skeptical, just like you. but i emailed the zoo personally and found out this really happened. Of course the lion can't win it all, and in fact it can't win the majority, it is no surprise as most experts and sanctuaries favor the tiger. The tiger is undoubtly the most powerful member of the Feline family, with the lion as a close second.

Also in zoo's in asia they tend to give the lions and tigers asian names, so i doubt you'd ever find a lion called 'Leo' and a tiger called 'Raphiel'.
