the tiger killed the lion. that newspaper is real, see the date on the top. there is a newspaper called the thai times in thailand. that is a true story. stupid lion fan boys always claim bullshit lion this bla bla bla lion that bla bla bla but when we get an RELIABLE account of a tiger-lion fight, lion fans make excuses. tigers killed lions in history way more often than the other way around.
7 march 2011, a tiger killed a lion in a turkish zoo, published by the official BBC website.
@666sentrax Learn to tell the difference between real and fake, and dont get easily convince retard. Now Get the tiger dick out of your ass. The story is false. End of story
Thank, that's the first time you say I'm right. On the other hand, don't hate me, I don't hate or despise tigers, I only tell truths and realiable things, and when I notice a thing as false, I tell it. That's all. Lion vs tiger debate is only a hobby for me.
it annoys me really all this rubbish on the net. About which cat is better. I prefer Tiger but lions are awesome animals. People from both sides of the story make up utter nonsense like this guy for example and others.
Who made the article? Does not look autentic to me. 9 out of 10 stories like this are internet hoax. Many of them are very good. I have seen much better than this.
remember that tigers are more Agressve than lions that why lions alweys get attacked by them in zoo`s but i have never heard that a lion died in a fight vs a tger.. they just fight eash other and then they stop and both go their own way
so another words the tiger ran from the lion because one the tiger was found away from the lions cage and two the claw was stuck on the tigers leg trying to run away, what a cowardly tiger, im sure those injuries occured to the lions surprise...
so what if the tiger ran? Lone honey badgers are known to chase away whole lion prides, wolverine chase away cougar, cougaress chase away adult brown bear, and lone tiger chase away entire buffalo herd, and wolverine chase away huge brown bears.
And the worst is..domestic cats have been known to chase away adult black bears. But what does all this show? The runner might not be the loser if he stayed on to fight. think. =)
those are good comparisons but lets not throw packs and groups into the mumble jumble cause from what i read it was One lion vs One tiger, you know, like when One cat runs from One dog cause it knows better...;o)
again, i gave accounts of single animal running from another. Search cougaress vs brown bear, a small 60lb cougaress just chased off a 800lbs brown bear. Lone wolverine can chase off a lone tom cougar or even a huge brown bear. And a single domestic cat can chase away a full grown black bear, and i have accounts to prove all that.
How is the lion better when the tiger is stronger, faster, more agile, has stronger biteforce and paw swipe?
okay you are talking about other animals, lets stick to wat appears the 200 kg tiger fighting the 250 kg lion...and i believe that u have accounts but i bet most of the accounts of those animals chasing the bigger one was either to protect their young or for food not out of bravery or fun, its because they had to, in the tiger and lion case, the tiger ran because it knew better...
Of course i can bring in other animals, because i am giving you examples that "running isn't losing" and the runner might not be the weaker animal, if the runner chose to stay and chose to fight on, the runner might in fact win. you are not speaking any sense, of course animals chase away another because of a variety of reasons, in this case, it was the lion's "territory", lmao.
A tiger is stronger, faster, has stronger paw swipe and bite force, and the account points to a tiger victory, lol.
well i believe the runner might not be the weaker animal but the runner is definately the loser cause it didnt stay and fight, since u like examples heres one, a 100 lb kid can run up to me hit me 5 times while im not even prepared for fighting and run, does it make him a winner, no it makes him the loser because he knew that my retaliation would be greater if he stuck around, get it now ;o)
And also, no animals would go out to chase another animal out of bravery or fun, not even lions. So don't be stupid, in this particular case, we can understand that the lion is protecting its "territory". All accounts of animal interactions where an animal chase off another animal has a reason, and the reasons are not because of bravery or other nonsensical factors like fun.. lmao. Why don't you give me accounts of animals chasing off one another for "bravery"? Nonsense.
and you are wrong, many animals chase for fun, killer whales play with seals , TIGERS even take out wart hogs and dont eat them for fun, many animals have FUN you got alot to learn about the animal kingdom bub...animals are capable of having fun, what do you see lion cubs do for example in their spare time ;o)
Okay, firstly you have to type in english, i don't understand what you are saying with your spelling errors. Next, animals does do things for fun, i obviously know that you idiot, but they don't fight and chase away another animal for fun while risking their own lives, lmao, do you get that?
You are trying to change the topic by focusing on "fun", because i proved that animals who ran might not have lost if they stayed on to fight. And this article i found favors the tiger, the tiger won. =)
you are unhappy because you try to glamourize tigers because the article says tiger attacks lion, what you fail to understand is the tiger ran for a reason. Think about it , would you really need to run from a fight if your enemy was being submissive, no of course not ...you would just wonder off...but since the tiger bite more than it could chew it RAN it lost...no matter how you look at it.
Lmao, look at the cougaress vs brown bear fight, the brown bear tried to fight and push the cougar away but it ran afterwards because it had no mood to fight. Yes, the tiger ran for a reason because it is a solitary animal and wants to stay alive for another day, according to the brain and IQ chart of big cats, Tigers and other big cats are much more intelligent than lions, perhaps that's the reason why lions always risk themselves to death, lmao. In this fight, the tiger won, it scentmarked.
so in your mind, who won the cougar or the bear because if you think the bear did you are wrong, it took numerous strike and ran off whether it was in a mood or not to fight it LOST, just like the tiger...no mood to fight is saying, I dont want to fight you anymore which equals loser of the day...lions risk themselves to carry on their bloodlines more than alot of other animals.
It depends on your definition of "lose", i define it as when an animal has done all its best but couldn't make it and dies in the process. In the wild, if a fight is going to occur, both animals must be willing to engage, however in this acc, the tiger might not be even interested in fighting and couldn't walk away before the fight start because it is stuck in a cage, however if it was in the wild, the tiger might have walked away beforehand so if no fight occured, there will be no loser.
well i know lions are courageous but that was pretty brave of the tiger going up against a lion of that size and to top it off the man makes it look extra big so im not to sure all tigers are smarter than lions...
Before you try to change the subject from this fight to spelling errors you might want to practice what you preach *Next, animals does do things for fun ISN'T CORRECT..I believe you intended to type * Next, animals do things for fun...hah you are just like that tiger, you bite more than you could chew ;o)
Lol, tigers don't bite more than they can chew, the smaller bengal tiger won this fight, he scentmarked on the lion's enclosure. Come on, i don;t understand what you are arguing about.. i have emailed 120zoos and sanctuaries and experts, 80% of them favor the tiger, i can show some of these emails if you want. They include singapore zoo, minesota metro zoo, big cat rescue, john varty, turpentine wildlife creek, craig packer, Randy miller, Valmik thapar, bowmanville zoo.
well of course 80% favor the tiger, they usually are more bigger but im sure if you told the sizes of the two Im sure all would agree that a tiger had no chance of killing the lion because lions are stubborn and will fight and tigers are smarter, your right they know a loss when they see one and will not risk injury so the tiger ran from the fight, and on that particular night the lion won...whats there to argue, maybe the next time they meet it will be the tigers day and lion will run.
Actually, and honestly i find what you are saying more and more believeable and convincing.. At least i know what you are saying now. I thought you were talking about a tiger and a lion in general, however you are actually specifically talking about this article.. And so, i would agree with you, at such weights, even i favor the lion. A 50kg weight advantage is really a lot, and the tiger in this fight just probably got lucky.
Anyway again i would like to say,the reason why animals flee might not be because their rival is much stronger, and the animal which flee might win if it engages in a fight but the reason it doesn't want to stay on might be just because it isn't ready. Have you watched a video of a single male lion chasing off 4 nomadic males? Tell me, if the 4 lions didn't run, would they have defeated the lone male? Obviously, but they are just now ready, not because they will lose.
yes i have seen the lion taking on the 4 nomadic males, and if the 4 lions didnt run they would have won over the territory but since they left and werent ready they lost out on what couldve been theirs..
It seems that we are starting to agree with each other. What i am trying to say is very simple, the animal who runs from the other might not be because he is weaker, he or they are just not confident enough and perhaps not ready but if forced to, or if cornered and they have no choice to fight, they might actually have a chance of winning.
Have you read the article? At last a fight occured between the two, and the Tiger in fact won.. and was seen scentmarking at the lion's enclosure. So the tiger won..please re-read the article and try to understand it more..
Bite the victim ...you realize that these are what tigers do best, so it wasnt a actual fair one on one fight, at 10pm the lion could have been well unaware in its sleep and being in a cage with no surprises made it that much more possible for him to react to such a surprise.tigers are solitaire and seek for mates so this could have been a female tiger,i like to read more on this article, perhaps you can tell me where ?
Lmao, i can tell you something, all cats are classified as "ambushed hunters", so all of them use surprise attack as a way of hunting. However all cats have to fight for territory and for mate, and 25% of male tigers die from fighting for mates, and i can tell you, in all these fights, there is no surprise attacks because big cats don't use ambush in a fight.. So don't bring in theories of tiger ambushing the lion, lmao!
Lol, from Clyde Beatty's book, i presume. I have tens of thousands of quotes from Clyde Beatty because i own all of his books. Although lionfans think that he is their hero, Clyde is actually not bias and feel that Lion vs tiger is a "toss-up" and he will not bet on anyone at the same age and size. He has also given accounts of his tigers, Rogue despite always fleeing from battle, but when cornered, he "fights like a demon" and usually won. I can tell you the pages if you are interested.
I found it a few months back, using yahoo search engine, however the page is now down and so the original webpage where the article is posted is now gone. So i am afraid i can't help you on that.
thats kinda funny, a thai times written in english with no account of it no more...well if its true then i guess i can say the lion cant win them all.
Intially i was skeptical, just like you. but i emailed the zoo personally and found out this really happened. Of course the lion can't win it all, and in fact it can't win the majority, it is no surprise as most experts and sanctuaries favor the tiger. The tiger is undoubtly the most powerful member of the Feline family, with the lion as a close second.
yes but then again most of those experts and sanctuaries are found in the east were they favor tigers and dragons more than lions and lambs. Animal face off experts chose the lion as well as Clyde favored the lion...and from most of the videos posted on here the tiger is usually running away so I still believe with all that said, its still a toss up OF 50/50 because there arent any videos and I cant go by what someone puts on paper especially someone who favors the tiger ...
Nope. John Varty, Craig Packer, Randy Miller and Dave Hoover are experts of the west. Minesota Zoo, BigCatRescue, Turpentine wildlife creek, Tiger Creek Sanctuary are also located in the west.
Animal face-off experts? Sam stevens is a zookeeper, dave salmoni too, lmao! Next, Clyde Beatty do not favor the lion in a fight, in his book, he has mentioned that "Lion vs tiger is a toss-up" and that "he wouldn't bet on either of them at the same health and age". I can show you the sources.
PTigris8, Some of people you named, they are neutral and very good, but others you named they are tigerfans and lionhaters. Clyde Beatty, Dave Salmoni, etc. they really considerated lion as winner in a fight against a tiger, mainly the first.
So, out of curiosity, why would the thai times be printed in english in 1983?
This seems like a photo of an article rather than a copy out, and this wouldn't have been 'world exclusive' news so I don't know why this ever would have been printed in English.
Also in zoo's in asia they tend to give the lions and tigers asian names, so i doubt you'd ever find a lion called 'Leo' and a tiger called 'Raphiel'.
And how on earth could he 'lick his wounds' if his jaw was dislocated?
And maybe a tiger did win here. But really in a lion-tiger fight anyone could win. Its just a matter of random swipes since they are so similar. The luckier or healthier one would win.
Yea true. However most experts favor the tiger. In fact 75% of them favors the tiger. At the same size, same age, most people would bet on a tiger = )
what was a lion doing in a tiger zoo? i wouldnt be surprised if they set up the lion to get jumped because tigers are FAVORED in Thailand. they even named it TIGER zoo so they would do anything to make the tiger to look more superior when it really isn't.
Tiger zoo doesn't mean it only has tigers! but because there are many tigers there(hundreds of them), but it also has many other animals. Harbin Tiger Park in China also has many animals other than tigers, but its main animals are tigers.
And Even Lory Park zoo in SA has Tigers/lions/leopards/jaguars and not just parrots and birds alone.
The most important word in their names is "Zoo" not "Tiger". Please take note of that.
the tiger killed the lion. that newspaper is real, see the date on the top. there is a newspaper called the thai times in thailand. that is a true story. stupid lion fan boys always claim bullshit lion this bla bla bla lion that bla bla bla but when we get an RELIABLE account of a tiger-lion fight, lion fans make excuses. tigers killed lions in history way more often than the other way around.

I also recall a case where a tiger had a marked advantage and lost the fight. The lion seems to have no fear of the tiger.
* Seated next to a tiger, the lion is composed. The tiger, on the other hand, is usually nervous and apprehensive.
The tiger does not seem to have the lion's capacity for calm analysis and appraisal. This puts him at a disadvantage in a fight with a lion."

I can show you the sources.

well that pretty much makes it 50/50 if he wouldnt bet on either of them. Point made.

@evilgrin07 Sorry, not tossup. Lion dominates Tiger.

Thanks mate.
And maybe a tiger did win here. But really in a lion-tiger fight anyone could win. Its just a matter of random swipes since they are so similar. The luckier or healthier one would win.
Showman786 3 years ago
Yea true. However most experts favor the tiger. In fact 75% of them favors the tiger. At the same size, same age, most people would bet on a tiger = )

what was a lion doing in a tiger zoo? i wouldnt be surprised if they set up the lion to get jumped because tigers are FAVORED in Thailand. they even named it TIGER zoo so they would do anything to make the tiger to look more superior when it really isn't.
jerrod7890 3 years ago
Lmao!

Just because a newspaper comes out and said the tiger won, you think that Thailand citizens are biased..geezz
