Basically what he/she has done is take the stereo track, invert the waveform of one of the channels and made it mono, thus cancelling out anything that was center-panned (vocals, bass, kick drum and snare to name a few).

The reason you can still hear the vocal in the background is that the reverb (echoy stuff) isn't a mono effect. It is different in each channel, so you can't get rid of it.

I love the acoustic guitar so much in Tangled! And this song is super easy to sing because it's so fast-paced and energetic 8D Beats me how some people can say that the Tangled soundtrack isn't memorable.
