  • Great job and awsome video Brother. I have already got some ideas to a shelter but not doing it at night unless have too or in your situation where someone prefers me to. Thanks for the video and the knowlage that you and all the others from Wilderness outfitters share with everyone. I have learned a lot from Dave my self and love wathcing his videos.

  • @XSUREproductionsX

Thanks brother, and you're very welcome!

  • @Grunt12B This was a challenge that i offered him. The importance of this challenge was to show the difficulty in making a shelter without light. (or only fire light) Another thing is, wind, dew, cold are all elements that the shelter provided protection from. Just because the MSS was enough protection alone, doesn't mean the shelter didn't add any itself. I wanted it to rain on him while he did it like it did for me, but to each environment comes a new set of rules, he followed those rules.

  • @Back2DaBasix I understand and appreciate the challenge...But building a shelter that does not protect you from rain and has minimal insulation from the cold proves nothing...That is my point...The only way it was usable was due to using the MSS system. If someone watched that video and had to use the technique in similar temperatures without the right gear...They would experience a totally different situation.

  • nice video!

  • Thanks, great tips on saving cal. while building a shelter.

  • One thing I always add to my pack is a pair of safety glasses or goggles for walking around at night in the bush. A few years ago I missed seeing a twig and took it directly in my right eye, wound up w/ drops and an eyepatch for 3 weeks because of it. They don't weigh much, and can prevent an eye injury that can derail your survival chances. Great video and shelter!

  • Perfect Shelter, build in the night, grandios. Looked also like a cold night. Many thanks for sharing, all the best Sepp

  • Awesome shelter thanks for letting us hang bro.

    kind regards

    streetartist.

  • OMG....you made me hungry for chops....LOL. Good shelter and video. I'm just curious about one thing....you have a MSS, but you don't use the MSS carrier on your Alice pack, is there a reason for that or like you said you were just in a hurry putting things together and just did not use it. Keep up the good work, I like your web site. Take Care :-))

  • @SurviveN2

I dont like things hanging off my pack, and there is plenty of room inside for it when i pack right and dont rush out the door! lol

Thanks for the kind words bro!

  • Thanx 4 Takin Us Along !!!

  • @SNAKEDOCTOR7577
