@AncientLeaves If the police had not been there to protect them, they would have been run over by an 18 wheeler, and the driver of said 18 wheeler would not have been at fault in the eyes of the law. They removed the protesters whose lives were in danger. Then they arrested those who tried to interfere with the police. Does that help you understand?

@iliangeleyes5 The tent was used to make it easier for those being arrested to cooperate without looking weak in front of their friends. It was also used to prevent video being misused for propaganda. The practice of chaining oneself to anything has always been a felony. HPD handled this in a VERY humane manner. No gas or pepper spray was used as it has been used in other cities. By the way, as a Houstonian, I am also glad you do not live here.

They chose to take direct action to protest how our country is ruled by an oligarchy, and they chose to do so knowing they would be arrested. This happens all the time. The only reason to hide the arrests is because undue force was being used.
