  • as a g27 owner i just took a chance and ordered a minotaur. what is your impression of this holster after owning for a longer amount of time? how has it held up and do you consider it as comfortable as the crossbreed? I have a mini tuck for my p238 and love it but thought i would try something different. thanks for the great videos, you do a great job.

  • What did you use to cut the excess length of the clips?

  • @khyoon14 I actually used a bench grinder wheel. It takes it off with ease and allows you to shape the plastic so its nice and smooth.

  • @chanderson1 Thanks man. I have one so I should be good to go. I ordered the mtac for my 19,32,22. Just bought a 5.11 operator belt and loving it. Thanks again

  • still carrying the 26 or is it to big?

  • @tritan1 still carrying it, but rotate it with something a little bigger

  • If you use the J-hooks on the Crossbreed Supertuck they don't have decorations on the clips. They are also much less conspicuous when carrying.

  • They all Copy and try to duplicate the kydex/leather design, But CROSSBREED is the 1st choice and the best. I do admit to having a $35 dollar crossbreed knock off and its pretty good, but not as good as my real crossbreed for $80 bucks.. They are worth the money. Problem is when you need more than one then they can cut into the budget quick at 70-80 a pop.

  • @PublicFilthSpeeks That is what's good about the comp tac's because all you have to do is change the kydex shell and you have a new holster for a different gun.

  • Nice review, thank you. Thumbs up.

  • Thanks for the video. I have had one for about 8 months and never liked how the clips jut out at the bottom both in length and in depth due to the compression washers. I just finished the mods you had for them. Cudos.

  • Thank you for your videos. I too have a p226 and will be purchasing a G26 very soon for an easier every day conceal

  • Great video.

  • @godlessdustin thanks, glad you like it and thanks for the comment

  • @chanderson1 No problem. I just got my concealed handgun license so I need a holster. I kinda liked the crossbreed but I'm not big on the whole christiany thing they got going so I think the MTAC is going to be a great alternative.

  • @godlessdustin check out whitehatholsters. They are very similar to the crossbreed. A perfect blend of both.

  • @chanderson1 Thanks I'll check those out as well.

  • Awesome video! Very helpful! Thanks man!

  • @chrislucketttv Appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!

  • Any issues or feedback about the clips? I noticed the Mtac are plastic and CB are metallic. Seems the metallic clips would be better no?

  • get a comptac minataur slide...fits the G26 and G19 :)

  • The Minotaurs just seem so much better constructed than the Crossbreeds. I debated over both, but ordered the Minotaur for my Walther PPS. Yes the extra width may distribute the weight a bit more, but, and particularly with a single thickness of leather on the Crossbreed, rolling and collapsing of the leather will be a problem. The Minotaur just seems a better-made product. Time will tell.

  • @19NaVi72 The thin-ness of it is was makes it more comfortable, and forms to your body better, The width also helps "blend" in with you more. The Minotaurs are great holsters. But come Summer the Crossbreed wins hands down. the other major factor is the option for horsehide make skin contact better. Who wants to combine a thick holster with the slick leather, I can't wear 2 T-Shirts. But thats just me.

  • Very good review. I'm leaning towards the Crossbreed after looking at your vids.

  • @shurnee Both are great holsters. I do like the crossbreed since the leather is a bit thinner and the holster is just slightly more comfortable to wear everyday.

  • Did you have any issues with theCompTac Minatour holster sliding around when you were wearing it because of the smooth backing? And how did well did the plastic straps secure the holster to your belt when hearing and drawing?

  • @CountryBoy4487 The plastic strap was very secure, but the holster did tend to slide to the rear on me throughout the workday, but was easily readjusted.

  • At 1:18 you holstered the gun with your finger on the trigger. Be Careful my friend.

  • @1039sflem Thanks. I was aware that there was no magazine and on the glocks when the trigger is set back means it can never be fired no matter what, but I should have been more careful.

  • @1039sflem I caught that, not good....

  • I like your holster videos - they are informative and answer a lot of questions I had about IWB holster brands and models. What did you use to trim the plastic clips? BTW I subscribed today as well.

  • @Castleknight Hi, thank you very much and I do appreciate you taking the time to watch. I used a regular utility knife razor to trim the combat cut on my Crossbreed. Its very easy to do, but it doesnt leave a "finished" look to it. I guess if I wanted to, I could burn the bare edge of the leather so it matches the holster more, but since nobody is suppose to see it, I didnt bother. Thanks for the comment and sub!

  • Did you ever have to draw your glock out of the holster when you were on the street?

  • @starwars4525 Never had to, and hope to never use it in that manner, but its always good to train and have the mindset to be able to use it when needed.

  • Good review. I have a CB on order right now...can't wait to get it. Studiomvideos needs to be on some kind of medication.

  • wasnt a fair comparison. You said yourself that after only 20 minutes of wearing the Minotaur you were going to send it back. Theres is no way anyone can make a fair comparison after wearing ANY holster only 20 minutes. Your demo of the Minotaurs short comings was B.S. I could do the same video with my CB and make it look inferior to the Minotaur. Wear what you want but dont give a biased opinion.

  • @studiomvideos Wrong video! In this video I never stated I am sending this back. If you watch the entire video you will see that it is a fair and unbiased review. 20 minutes was never mentioned at all. 2 weeks of wearing it every day. These are just my opinions based on actually wearing it. Dont know what you talking about at all in your reply.

  • Thanks for the video. Very informative and helpful. BTW, don't listen to all of the looosers that make senseless hateful comments. They probably can't afford the gun more less the holster...

  • @Mooselola Thanks! I made the video based solely on my opinions after wearing both for a period of time. These are just my opinions and I think I was fair to both holsters. Thanks for the comment!

  • This review is B.S. It is lop sided with incorrect info and demonstrations. Really?? give me a break. OK you like the CB better state your opinion... but dont show how another holster is inferior with over exaggerated claims.

  • @studiomvideos Looks like you copy and pasted this response to another video of with the same information. Watch the video and listen carefully before you make a sensless comment.

  • aNY RESPONSE?

  • @Glockizzle Hi, thought I sent you a PM because my response didnt show up here. Anyways, you can get the crossbreed and the MTAC with open bottom shells. This allows for similar type frames with different length barrels to fit in one holster. I recently ordered the CB with the open bottom shell and it will fit my Glock 19 and Glock 26 without any issues. I still think the CB is the more comfortable holster, although the MTAC looks more beautifully finished.

  • @chanderson1 Glockizzle's comment is nice to know. Your MTAC looks open at the bottom (barrel end), but I'm thinking Glockizzle means that MTAC makes a shell that is even more open at the bottom to allow different length barrels like the Glock 19 and Glock 26. I have a Glock 19 myself, so I found this comment very applicable.

  • Quick question..with both the crossbreed and the mtac which works better ? if ur buying one holster for the same line gun e.g glock 23 and 26 ..is it better to get the 23 and u can use the 26 in it or the other way around .and which holster achieves this better?? thanks for your time!! great vids bro!!

  • Nicely done video!

  • Nice video! I have been buying holsters like crazy.

  • @thecajunblaze I've done the same thing! I've stopped searching for holsters since I've found the crossbreed and the Minatour. Both are nicely priced and very comfortable. Thanks for leaving a comment!

  • Bottom line which one is more comfy?

  • @ketel1 To be quite honest with you, the Minatour holster looks and feels more finished and nicer looking, but shifts around throughout the day. The Crossbreed is thinner and more comfortable in my opinion.

  • @chanderson1 Good insight bro. I value your opinion.

  • @ketel1 I'm not a salesman for either one so my opinions are not biased. These are based on my own opinions and of course others may disagree, but thank you for the positive comment and hope you enjoy the videos!

  • @chanderson1 I concur . But i also feel the same way that you do on almost all of your vids so i highly value your opinions. Looks and finish are at the bottom of the list in find a holster. I am after comfort. Being comfortable means you will carry more. Thats my take on it. Thanks for the time to respond.

  • nice vid!

  • sorry mint to say that it will be a eveyday carry

  • hi i was just wanting your thoughts on this i am going to get my carry permit hear soon and i was thinking of a sig p220 or a springfield trp 1911 with a crossbreed super tuck.this will be my first gun buy and it will be for along time just because of money so i was just woundering if one is more durable or will last me longer i just cant pick one i just want ed your thoughts on it thank you.

  • Wore the Galco Ankle holster all winter for the G26 and G27, really comfortable. And regardless of what people say about draw time, I felt secure. Crossbreed Rocks. Used it for years with my XD compact. Great video.

  • Nice video.

  • @biguy525 Thanks man!

  • great video man. I always thought the crossbreeds looked more comfortable than the MTAC holsters, just because of their weight distribution

  • @nicker3290 Both are really comfortable IWB holsters. The crossbreed is slightly thinner and the weight distribution is a little better on the crossbreed. The fit and finish on the CompaTac is superb.

  • Just a thought Chanderson, Kholster has an April special going on now. You can get a Kholster for 39.00 to your door. Much like a Crossbreed. I have one and going to get two more, but for the price, cannot beat it. Quality is great.

  • @Albee4ty5 I have a friend with the Kholster and he is very pleased with it. For the excellent price, I will definetly give it a try. Thanks for the heads up and appreciate the comment.

  • Good mod to cut that extra off bet that does help....

  • @razback14 Yes, Just something so simple really makes it that much more comfortable. Appreciate the comment.

  • i love my Minotaur for my g2. I had an uncle mikes iwb before and it blows it away. i feel more comfortable with wearing the Minotaur than not wearing it. i still use my uncle mikes when im at home... works as a great dust cover!

  • pointed out the fact that the comptac doesn't have the "reach" that the crossbreed does which in my opinion would cause my glock to feel even heavier. i also wear the same pants size as i when i don't carry. i find that my pants stretch out to fit the iwb crossbreed. thanks for the update...it now confirms that my crossbreed is the right choice for me.

  • great Vid.. i just practiced with my minotaur today for the first time... used myg27 at a private range. shot 150 rounds or so... drawing from this holster was very easy and re-holstering the gun was a breeze... i really like it! i am very comfortable with the retention of the gun and it is a very concealable and comfortable holster.

  • @blinger76 I like that it looks much more finished and refined compared to the crossbreed. Both holsters work great for their intended purpose. The trimming I did to the CompTac really makes it that much more comfortable

  • very cool mods

  • @gwargwar1981 Thanks man! It does feel much better with the mods.

  • Great vid and thanks for sharing. I liked the modifications you made to the CompTac.

  • @edgedweapon88 Thank you. I customized it to my needs and it feels that much more comfortable. Appreciate you always leaving positive comments!
