OK...you answered me at the end of the video. "Great for if you're designing a theme," etc. I'd still much rather use Fantastico. In one click, I'm done. :)
Why would you do this instead of just using Hostgator and Fantastico, etc.? Seems much too complicated. What's the advantage? Having 75 websites on various hosts, it's taken me 5 minutes from choosing a domain name to start configuring WP...your way seems much too complicated.
@MrBrazenhusseys It is easier to install wordpress on a web host. But what if you want to work offline, or what if you have slow bandwidth. This tutorial explains how to install a server on your own computer and then install WordPress on that server. This is important in different scenarios (not the most common one), but for example if you're training people on wordpress and they don't have wireless, or if you're traveling in a car and you want to code your theme in the middle of iowa, etc.,...
Congratulations, this is not just a tutorial, it is a MASTERCLASS on how to do a tutorial. I didn't catch the name of your website, but after a quick search I found it. I've already subscribed to it, and look forward to your posts.
ok, i try many tutorials about apache php and mysql. And the only work. thanks
Sorry my bad english.
(Tentei vários tutoriais sobre apache php e mysql e o único que funcionou foi esse. Acredito que meu nível de iniciante tenha deixado faltar alguma parte nos outros, mas esse funcionou e agradeço e muito.)

Thank you so much Tom. You made this whole process very easy to follow, and more importantly, I have understood each step.
