you don't have to hold down alt to get rid of the handle, you can just click on the anchor, you only have to hold alt on photoshop

Whenever i use the pen tool it fills before I even close the shape. Do you know why this might be?

@gigahead it is using and unclosed path and filling it, if you want it to be a line, just make sure the fill (front colour) is set to none and stroke is set to a colour, then just press 'x' when your ready to fill the path

The 'belly lightblue' could be constructed faster by using the pathfinder.

Maria is right, a simple tutorial should be faster.

but you should try to make them shorter.

there are more complex tutorials out there that are way shorter but still good

its just a suggestion :D
