  • ok? why on earth would you video a ferret? some people!

  • So many things wrong with this picture. Woodchips. Plastic/glass cage without enough ventilation. Small cage. Not many toys, no visible hidey-hole/hammock for the ferret. However, that does not mean that the ferret is not adorable. He looks just like my Scooby!

  • I love it's little white face. :)

  • this is a cute little ferret. they are trying to introduce ferrets to pet shops in the uk, hopefully it will never happen. but we have a different view most ferrets here are used as working ferrets although my 5 little fuzzbutts are kept indoors and are spoilt rotten with more toys than i ever had when i was younger lol. i wish i had a little lad like this one, its so hard to find a fuzzy with a badger stripe

  • @shortisammi Actually white markings on the head is a sign of Waardenburg syndrome. 3 out of 4 fuzzies with them suffer from some form of hearing loss to total deafness. It's not really the the end of the world though, and really in no way makes them 'worse pets'. Knowing you have a deaf one just helps you interact more appropriately with it. Back when I had 6, one of mine was deaf, and he was just as lovable as all the rest.

  • yeah im not a thick shit when it comes to ferrets....maybe i think they are more special as they need the extra care to make sure they dont miss out. I have a ferret like this one and he is just as spoilt as the others

  • its cuter cause it has no mask

  • Awww so cute :)

  • woodchips really! Companys need to do their dang homework and realize that thats bad for small animals!

  • what ferret is this?

  • @aidan21 I beleive it is a blaze! cute little fuzzy

  • @livindedlolly is fucing cute

  • If you're in America, it's better to adopt a ferret than to buy from a pet store.

    Just saying. :)

  • makes sad ..

  • poor thing it needs to be in a cage where it can climb up to different like layers

  • I love ferrets if u hate it i will fuck u and kill u

  • Every ferret is cute i have a baby boy ferret so if u want to kill i will fuck u and kill u

  • Na trocinach fretke! I w akwarium! Biedaczek

  • ahhh so cute i have 2 albino ferrets thumbs up for ferrets

  • BADGER HEAD FERRET i have one like that mines name is jacob

  • You have to change the cage to a proper ferret cage!! And PLEASE change the bedding, its not good for the ferret at all! Find the biggest and safest ferret cage you can find... Your ferret will be much happier!

  • @ItsMarko

you should really read the description before you accuse him of having an unsuitable cage. this was taken at a pet shop. this isn't his ferret and he has no control over how the pet shop cares for it.

  • @spidergal777 I'm just saying it out loud so everyone can see. All ferrets, in pet shops or not, should not live like that.

  • @spidergal777 but those who dont read it dont even have half a brain lol

  • i wish my ferret was like that. instead she bites the cage like crazy saying "I WANT OUT!' rawwwww and yeah...

  • Aww this is a nice colour ferret :)

I have a Polecat colour ferret Named -Bruce Wayne and I was looking for another one like this colour..

    Yes Yess

Thumbs up For the name Bruce Wayne LOL.

  • I hate the fact that most of the people buy such a cute animal an do not have enough room for it. they are selfish and do not think about the best for the feret. I have TWO ferets, because they do not want to be alone and I have 3x3x3 Meter tall cage for them with many toys and so on. if you do not have the room and time, do not buy a feret.

  • wood chips are badddd what pet store!!

  • @kellyn74 Why bad???

  • i want to pet it right now :)

  • I can't believe some pet stores are still using pine shavigs : IT WILL CREATE RESPIRATORY PROBLEMS ! Clay litter, cedar, pine shavings anything else than recycled pappers might be deadly ! It creates severe respiratory problems. Please, use only wood pellets, Yesterday's News or Marshall Litter or puppy pads !

  • poor little ferret, they shouldn't live like that! ):

  • guys c read the description, he didn't buy him, he just saw him in a pet store.

  • THESE ANIMALS STINK SOOOO BAD. They were cute when me and my boyfriend brought them home?..but they stunk after one bath the next day. I did not really want ferrets anywhay. my boyfriend did. And what was i thinking!..now they shit all over the floor, they smell really really bad. And they have bowel issues constantly. I just wanna strangle ours....... no heart here folks, this animal is best left in the wild.

  • @bambie3384 Pet ferrets have been domesticated for thousands of years and cannot survive in the wild. Bathing them produces more smell as they have to replenish the oil washed from their coat. Neutering them reduces the smell. Toilet training is a good idea along with a good diet to prevent problems. Sounds like you had no idea about ferrets before you bought them, give them to a rescue so they have a chance of a good life.

  • @bambie3384 Please give them to someone who gives a shit - my darling ferret, Cowboy, is nearly 1 year old, has "bowel issues", which turned out to be Inflammatory Bowel Disease, which causes diarrhea. Have your ferrets ever seen a vet? Even after neutering, ferrets smell a little like corn chips, but Cowboy only gets 1 bath a month, which is plenty. Strangle them?? Where's your missing sensitivity chip? I've owned numerous ferrets since 1985, & love them dearly. You don't deserve a ferret.

  • @bambie3384 they actually smell worse after you bathe them because you take all of the oil out of their skin and they have to work doubletime to replace the oil on their skin - which is what makes them "stink" in the first place. You still have to bathe them once in a while, but its not to improve the smell...it gets worse for a few days until they get back to a normal oil level. I suggest you do your homework before attempting to own another pet.

  • @bambie3384 your retarded :| you bathe them, they smell worse. you neglect them, they obv arent going to be trained at all.

  • That's an awful looking ferret. I don't think that Waardenburg's Syndrome is an indication of good quality...

  • don't buy your pets at the pet shop!

  • no no no no no dont use woodchips ferrets have bad lungs use the paper stuff! and the glass box isnt relly good because of the ventalation

  • Ferrets are solitary by nature??? NO! They are very, very social and need attention and companionship. I am concerned about this little guy as his bedding looks like wood shavings which can make ferrets very, very sick. I have three ferrets who are the sweetest little guys in the world. They only nipped when they were babies until we taught them not too (Just like kittens & puppies). They are the BEST.

  • cute colors .

    ha ferret once

  • very cute little ferret. but feel so sry for it. being in a pet store :( its not healthy for them at all. i would have bought the ferret right away just to give it a better home. and well. then my own little girle here would get some company :)

  • @1987babe Purchasing an animal from a store that doesn't care well for its animals is actually causing more harm than being helpful. Its sad, but in doing so you support the store and encourage more ferrets to be brought in and sold.

  • Oh my! A ferret in a petstore! thats aweful :(

  • agree

  • looks kind of like mine! :D

  • kill your wife and get the ferret.......naww just kidding but it is defiantly worth it to get a ferret

  • i rly want to get one how much are they?

  • from 1000 to 2800 pounds. Plus the cage, food, vet. Really expensive. But they bite alot, and the smell !!!

  • If you get one at a pet store they are usually $80-$125 c: Hope that helps. Accessories are usually $100 or more and then the vaccination can probably cost up to $300 the most I would think.

  • how much was it?

  • wood chips are bed for ferrets to lay in, the tiny bits of wood gets stuck in their nose and lungs because they like to dig, and can even get in their poor lil eyes. :( its not good for them. poor ferret

  • Gorgeous ferret

  • In sweden it's illegal for pet stores to keep ferrets in cages like that. And no, they are not solitary animals they are extremly social. And need often both human companion and ferret companion. If you would like to keep a ferret in a cage. It should be at least 15 square meters. So that the ferret has plenty of space to move around in. Thats why most ferret owners let their animals roam free like a cat or a dog.

  • once a ferret bit my finger, four stitches and lifelong emotional scarring

  • @Moronicsmurf i agree its sad):

  • @Moronicsmurf

responsible ferret owners would NOT let their ferret roam free. theres many things a ferret can easily get into, being so michivious and all, that could cause accidental death..electrical cords, small spaces they can't get out of, other pets, chemicals(you may think the ferret cant get to chemicals, but they are smart & will find a way). A cage is necessary to keep a ferret safe, its also necessary to make sure the ferret gets at least 4 hours of SUPERVISED time out of it's cage

  • @Brandi5769 well that can be said for a dog or a cat too.. would you lock a dog in a cage and let him out of the cage 4 hours a day? I would say that is animal cruelty.. Ferrets are not cage animals.. If you have electrical cords out in the open and dont put childlocks on your chemicals you are just irresponsible.. I havent seen a small space yet any of my ferrets cant get out of so. If i have spaces under cabinets and so on i board it up so they cant get in. it's called ferret proofing.

  • @Moronicsmurf

I will send you some links to information written by ferret experts and veterinarians worldwide, they'll explain that no ferret proofing is enough to have a completely cage free ferret... and by the way some more examples, did u take all the carpet out of your house? 'cuz it could easily impact their sensitive GI tract. Do u ever have mice (most people do), they could spread salmonella, ENE or e.coli to your ferret.

  • @Moronicsmurf

And I forgot to mention that the average ferret needs about 18 hours of sleep a day. So I hardly think it's cruel to have the ferret in its cage while it's sleeping more than it's awake. I don't know a dog or a cat that sleeps 18..or even 15 hours a day. It's not like ferrets are running around wanted to play and get out or their cage all day.. they need LOTS of sleep due to their high metabolism, why can't they sleep in their cage with their comfy hammock & blankets?

  • @Moronicsmurf Used to have a pair ferrets when I lived in Alabama, but had to adopt my fuzzies away when I moved to California. We had a 4 foot x 4 foot x 6 foot cage for them with the litterbox and hammocks but always left the door open for them to roam the house. My dad started locking them in at night after they destroyed the carpet around doors trying to get under them at night when we were sleeping.

  • @linuxrobotdude well, sure you could probably lock em up for a couple of hours. Their sleep cycle will adapt after a while and they become more active on hours that is not natural to them. But in the long run it's always better to ferret proof and let them roam free. You will have much happier/healthier critters that way. =)

  • lol that looks like my ferret skunk

  • I LOVE blazes. They're so pretty.... Blazes and pandas. And DEWs. Geez. I'm just in love with the deaf guys.

  • Hehe I have a Blaze:)

  • KILL THE BITCH AND BUY IT!

    Kidding :D

  • tell your wife let me have him that ferret is adorable

  • Is this in a pet shop?? :S:S

  • Such a beautiful ferret!

But poor thing! Alone (They need to live in a pack!) and in such a small cage -.-

  • They're actually solitary by nature... but I do agree on the cage size.

  • @MakiMaki962047 WHAT??? You are SO mis informed....they are very social...true they CAN exist as a solo ferret, but if that's the case...they better get tons of love and attention from their owner.

  • Actually ferrets really are solitary by nature. But they need to be loved and be socialized with and enjoy the company of other ferrets.I think that's what she might have meant. :3

  • @camillalpz People often confuse ferrets with their ancestors. Their ancestors were indeed solitary creatures, but let's remember this was 1k years ago. Now ferrets have changed so much from their roots and do see happier when kept in businesses. However, there is the ferret who wishes to be left alone, but this can be said about any species of pet.

  • @Pandabbit I didn't confuse them though.I was letting out the information that I had read in Ferrets For Dummies.Or so I thought I did....

  • @camillalpz Hmm, I don't remember much from there saying they're really solitary. They do talk about Black Footed Ferrets and European Polecats (possible ancestors of ferrets) being solitary, which is true. I would not mark the modern day domesticated ferret as being solitary though. I know my own guys enjoy each others' company, playing and sleeping together. They actively seek one another out for play when released into a larger room (when they're done initial exploration).

  • @Pandabbit Maybe that's why I thought they were...hmmm...I'm not really sure. Well, I'm just going to pretend that I never said that other comment in the first place :3

  • oops so sorry did not mean to thumb down this post. Trying to undo.. Appologies

  • Aw so cute! whats is it hair colour called?

  • That is what is known as a Blaze ;)

I have three of them and all three are deaf.

  • can anyone say upper respiratory infection??????????/

  • Is it alright to keep a ferret roaming around the flat?

just like a dog or cat.

  • As long as you've FULLY ferretproofed your whole flat, it should be ok. Just remember that anywhere a ferret can stick it's head into, it can get it's while body through! Hope this was helpful..

  • they arnt supposed to be in glass cages because there is not enough ventalation and that cant live in wood chips(if thats wut those are.) but besides that she is beautiful.

  • Wrong choice of litter, it's very bad for ferrets' lungs. It can cause respiratory infections. But cute ferret nonetheless.

  • This is sick , ferrets is insanely intelligent and are not born to be locked inside a cage. I have a ferret myself and she have been walking around freely and loose. They get bitchy and angry at people when locked up , but when running loose they feel free and are cozy and playful.

  • i keep my ferret in a large cage when i'm not around just so he doesn't dig his way into my couch and get crushed. I'm not gone very often though.

  • @lalluss open your eyes, the description says its at a pet store.

  • i think you should keep it in one house because the ferret may become to stressed if he/she is moved that often

  • I would keep it in one house.

  • Hi,

Me and 2 Friends are going to buy a ferret and swap around houses every 2 weeks.

Do you think this is right? should i keep it in 1 house all the time

  • avvvv i wish i had a ferret!!!

  • f""""n ex wont give me the ferret we had

  • fretka nie powinna mieć trocin

  • OMg. someone get him out of there!!!!

  • Agreed, I can't watch caged ferrets. They're too intelligent and curious to be treated like rodents.

  • Looks a bit like my ferret, Tobi :D

  • Hahahaha cool he also looks like my ferret Itachi :D

  • I've never seen that marking before on a ferret.

  • Its a dark-eyed-white with a roan-blaze pattern

  • what kind of ferret is that with markings on his head?

  • It's a normal ferret, with markings called "blaze" (the stripe on his/her head) and "bib" (the white on its chest) - these markings often mean that the ferret is deaf and carrier of the KIT gene which causes said deafness and early onset cancer.

My Yuki is the same color. :)

  • awesome looking ferret love the markings but yea that is not an acceptable living enviroment for him poor thing that pet store has no clue what their doing i really hope sombody got him outta there

  • look at that little weasel face looking at u. i love ferrets and their little weasel faces they are just too cute. i would put that ferret in the sleeve of my coat and walked right out the store. id give the ferret a better life then that one were its living in shavings that can cause respiroty problems and glass cages. the petshop that has that little guy obviously isnt that knowledgeable on proper ferret care

  • Sharp markings on that ferret.

  • i just got my ferret at Pet co. they had like 6 0r 7 ferrets in kinda like that but it was bigger and had holes at the top. my ferret was the oldest one their im glad i gave him a good home :)

  • wood shaving, bad, bad,bad!!!!

  • Yeah man i learnd tat the hard way it was sleepng and all of a sudden it started to yelp really loud then it was choking on one I got it out imediantly and he was okay :D Yus shaving are very bad.

  • eeep!

    *steals ferret* it's super cute

and yes wood shavings are very big no no's

  • LEGALIZE FERRETS IN CA

  • true that

  • thought wood shavings can cause respertory problems n glass tanks can course them to over heart... not good X(

by the way wot a cute ferret!!!!!!! like a wolf lol

    x

  • oui tis true.

the ferret is probally dead if a more educated ouner diddnt adopt it by now

  • there a pet store near buy my pay that sell ferrters there like 200 bucks for one

  • they shouldnt be kept in in that sort of set up.

    BAD PETSHOP.

I baught mine from a very clean well setup petshop.

Glass cage but with wire bars on the sides and the bedding was newspaper and linen.

    very good.

    xx

  • ur not sposed to keep ferrets in glass cages or with wood shaving bottoms.hell die

  • he is right you are not supposed to - but from the back ground sounds it sounds like this was filmed in a pet shop!! they r the worst places, some of them have no clue ;0)

  • look at that little weasel face hehe

  • You're not supposed to keep ferrets in aquariums because its hard for them to breath. You should consider getting a cage with bars so it can breathe. Trust me i know because i've had 5 ferrets and currently have one named Bambi. Also, incase you didn't know, do not give them any cat littter because the smell is too strong for them and they will get very sick. They need rolled up newspaper pellets. Those are the best for ferrets.

  • I don't think thats actruly his ferret, you can hear birds and other animals in the background. Maybe a pet store?

  • i bet this was filmed at a major pet store (PetCo/PetSmart). at my local PetCo they keep their ferrets in the same shavings w/ glass enclosures. really tiny too; with like 6 ferrets at once. :( really sad.

    otherwise (s)he's a cute fuzzy

  • seems to me like that ferret dosnt have that much space, they are not cage animals as such. however it is adorable

  • Aww, I have onethat looks just like her! His name is Maverick and he is deaf. I love deafies!!

  • Right on dude. Shavings=Nightmare

oh my gosh i cant watch this poor creture get shavings equal to our asbestos breathing in his poor lungs

    im calling PETA

  • NEVER keep them in shavings.. BAD for their lungs :-(

Bad for the smell too! No shavings=no smell.. trust me, I have 3 with NO smell!

  • itrust you on that

  • did you get him

  • He's deaf, I can promise it.

  • So cute but so sad to see this ferret in a cage at the petshop! :(

  • i havn't actually seen a ferret like that!

  • wow, i like the stripe on his head, thats unique in ferrets, and ferretfanatics, i totally agree!

  • i'm pretty sure he's a "Blaze" ferret. (the coloring.)

the most popular is the Sable, i think. (you know with the bandit mask...)

  • jup

  • yep ...mine was called bandit . he was my first ,but sadly passed away after a good long life of 10 years ;0)

He was our baby, we have 2 now ;0)

  • that one probably has waardenburg syndrome

  • Cute ferret, but poor bedding. Ferrets have sensitive airways and should NEVER be kept on woodshavings!!

Cloth beds, hangmats, old t shirts please! Also, be sure to trim nails so they don't get caught in an loose threads.

    gotta love ferrets!!

  • so cute!

  • curse all people who hate ferrets let a thosand rabid bunnies come and bit every toe of you

  • one of my friends had a ferret a long time ago, it stunk up his entire house.

  • Big smelly weasel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I could make a mean shishkabob with a ferret like that

  • i wouldn't eat that one....looks kinda sick or drunk

  • I really want one

  • SOOOO CUTE

  • Please check out a video of my hamster eating a pinky inside my channel!

  • Big smelly weasel!!

  • cute ferret, but why are you doing video of animals in pet stores?

  • What's wrong with that?

  • he's totally the awesomest ferret ever, lol :)

  • i want one!!

  • Your ferret has such a beautiful face. i enjoyed this.

  • taht skuirl it 1 faget lawlzerzorz

  • Cutie!

  • Hi !!!! Awesome Vid , come check out my channel and website at becbo . com

  • bonito ferret

  • no i used to have a ferret..it is more like it will kill the cat...ferrets can be mean and are actually better hunters than a cat, but they also make very good pets if treated properly

  • it's so cute!!!!

  • cool!, he must be camera shy..hehehe

  • no we dont...

  • Your cat will kill it. You don't really want that. - roc

  • ohhh, that sweet little pink nose!

  • Oohhh ^.^ he wants to play. I love ferrets. The wittle wascels.

  • did you buy him?

  • nope ..i have a cat and a sugar glider

  • if u want the ferret just keep ur other pets seperated but put one of ur other pets toys in with it and vice versa with ur cat, it gets them used to eachother's scents. it worked with our dogs....and we have trained hunting dogs. but give it a try, its worth it
