  • All you people talking trash about the Union are RATS!!! :) My husband is a Union Ironworker and because of being apart of a Union and having a contract he can tell people to get F***ked and when he gets laid off he doesn't have to pound the pavement looking for a job! He sits back and waits for the hall to call unless he gets bored then he calls the hall!

  • hey brothers we are all IRON KIN weather we work for a hall or chase a boom across the world we have to stand together because noone else gives aDAMN stand tall and be proud sing out loud I AM AN IRON WORKER AND DAMND PROUD 20yrs still going

  • Any man who does this work deserves respect. I despise most unions that exist today, but iron workers deserve anything they get. They are building America.

  • where's johnny bootle in all this?

  • Belonging to a union odes not make a man a man. Union or non-union, if the worker has a good work ethic and pride in himself and his skills, he will be an excellent tradesman. Nothing wrong with being a union member, AND, nothing wrong with not being a union member.

  • HIGH PROPS TO MY DAD DONALD BANISTER, THE BEST WINDWALKER EVER.

  • Cool video. Especially the mark calking part, I can definitely relate to what he said.

  • A good ironworker is the reflection of the men who trained him.

Union Ironworker, Local 21 Omaha, Nebraska ... currently working in Hammond, IN at US Steel, #6 Blast Furnace shut down

  • 751 represent

watch your backs, brothers and sisters, in these desperate times, some book holding union ironworkers are working rat. often they boom out to a location they are not known or recognized ,and take away jobs that should go to locals. when the union work picks up, these scabs will be amongst us ,maybe in another gang, or maybe on the other end of the piece

    strength in solidarity

  • Good Pay But there Never Fucking Hiring ....

  • @tonlo2006 How come there never hiring? i hear it's good pay, is it really all that great?!

  • @ebonyarko769 full fledged journeymen can make up to $2000 a week. Thousands of people come to try out every January. The local union halls can only let in about 60 to 80 apprentices a time. One of the best paid trades to work in.... what I wouldn't give to go union but theirs no guarantee you could ever get in union.

  • @ironlou1, want to buy some lemonade? I know you got a mouthful of mafia cum you need to wash down, so who are you calling pecker breath. New York is the most corupt shithole in the USA.

Your Union rep called, he needs you to come put a coat of wax on his Cadillac, when your done with that take a seat on the bench. GFYS.

  • shit the best....local 97 baby...

I've gone from the Colorado Rockies, to the farm country in louisianna, and even down to sunny south beach in miami all for work. I'll never forget what this program did for me and where its going to take me in the future. UNION PROUD AND FREE!

  • HA HA HA i'm back! Guess what I am hiring union guys since the union has been laying them off. Some haven't worked for months.

It amazes me how much they don't know.

keep putting windows in and I'll take the Pepsi challenge to what your paycheck is compared to mine.

In Virginia we have a right to work dickmunchers, fuck the union.

  • 16th and wewatta is where that building is located .i worked in it. TOTAL WELDING

  • hey douschebag, even AFTER my paycheck is "sucked dry", I know for a fact I still make more money than you!

republicans are whats killing america you fucktard.

  • @pasto76 the only people who need unions are slackers who otherwise would be fired for being lazy and incompetent. unions are what's killing america because they protect bad workers. They killed GM

  • @veryslyfox

funny that you wrote this on a sunday, something our society expects to have as a non work day, or if you work on sunday, 2x your hourly wage is expected. No need to thank our unions for establishing that.

"protecting bad workers" is bullshit. If the guy is really so bad, he will be fired. You obviously arent in a union (and this page is specifically about ironworkers, dumbass). #1 - no one wants a bad worker on their gang. #2 - bad workers get run off the job almost daily.

    Douche.

  • @veryslyfox Ok, unions are responsible for killing GM. But that means we are responsible for making Boeing a success, right?

  • union is were its at screw the non union bc canada

  • Hey buddy remember your paying for that insurance out of your paycheck. union pride!!

  • Hey i have been a Non-Union Iron worker in Colorado for 9 years and have insurance and a retirement plan and i am not paying for the BAs retirement to ride around in his fancy car.

Unions are what is killing detroit and killing America.

  • That sucked! Wanna have your paycheck sucked dry and work with a bunch of whining ego maniacs?, join the union. In D.C. all the union guys put in windows, HA HA HA

  • windows are a big part of the future of ironwork. so in that case i think its funny u think its funny, while your scabbing the steel jobs union workers are being educated and trained for future employment. keep being a company bitch thinking your ahead.

  • Much better when I selected "watch in high quality" at the lower right of the film.

  • Very well done.
