  • Some people should really stick to golf.

  • There is no such a thing as "bad AFF student" , but poor coaching....

  • i cant see it ints teribble :SSSSS

  • I'm going soon and the more I watch these videos the more nervous I seem to be getting about the jump.

  • روعة

  • Sweet sound quality!

  • Did your instructor review your back flips on video...?

I was wondering if he told you how to stop the flipping when you come out of the first rotation.....looks like some pretty agressive back flips.

Back in the day...I did some unintentnional back flips on my first 10 second delays merely by stretching both arms forward when I setteled into my arch face to earth.......holding the hard arch, the flip stopped in one rotation to allow me to pull in the correct body position.

  • Looks like you got your stabilty (arch ) by the time you did your diving exit.

  • It's a good thing you guys had parachutes - that 150 looks crap :)

  • holy shit that's a tumble and half!!! what level was this?

  • is it really that hard to controll your body?

im gonna do AFF this summer and i see many vids of guys just wobbeling through the air totally out of controll..

  • @ebon123 Yeah its hard.... at first. I am on jump #7.... and it feels more natural and easy to keep stable but it still makes me sore by the time i land. I feel like i should take some yoga classes :D

  • I lold hard

  • ARCH ARCH, wrong way!

  • lol zero control in first jump

  • His gear does make me laugh. I see main flap open on every jump and a couple times the riser covers were just flappin around. Ghetto gear but he does get down safe :) I like the rip cord too instead of BOC.

  • wow your equipment looks like second world war or something

  • @drumatic86 I lold

  • why is he a bad student? he's learning and seems to make progress

  • There are 3 ways your first tunr can go, Fast, slow or perfect. Noone makes a perfect turn the first time. I m glad my turn was a bit slow, so that I could increase the speed step by step. If you make a fast turn like this unlucky dude, it could cost you your life...

  • the instructor should be reprimanded!! on almost all of your jumps your pin covers have been undone, this is the most basic check and goes to show that the rig was not checked or adjusted.

  • that rig looks like a burlap sack of shit

  • I agree. Must of got it surplus. It doesn't fit the student very well at all. 3 rings are way to low

  • LMFAO you just made me spit soda on the screen when i read that!!!

  • Its true! main pin flap all loosey goosey and shit. I wouldn't jump off my couch with that rig

  • You're the worst AFF student I've ever seen. You look like you're going to shit your pants every jump. RELAX...... What are you doing skydiving if you're that scared anyway?

  • gimme anyone willing to jump out of a plane willingly with nothing but fabric to save you from a 120 mph crash to the ground and i give you someone who is not scared of a lot of things...

  • wtf u trippin on ?

  • Oh shit, I'm going to be doing that in a couple months! I'm doing IAD and doing pretty well right now; start "practice throws" this weekend.

  • legs out, legs out, legs out, relax.

  • LOL, spinnin like shit out of control.

  • thats not funny

  • Dude, you really weren't that bad a student! I was expecting comedy dammit.

  • i wouldnt trust that old looking cessna as far as i could throw it.

  • thats why you bring a parachute lol

  • why, they're very safe and stable planes

  • Yes, but have you met the pilot?

  • funny. well done buddy. talk about a piece of crap rig. looks like its done 5000 jumps.

  • ill want to do like some speeding bullit shit idk

  • COOL - we all been there. Arch hard. Ya know, I'd be more concerned about your rig - wat's up with that closing flap? LOL - (with same issue on my Vector, I use duct tape - 'til I can afford a G3!)

  • you duct-tape your rig shut?

  • ROFLMAO - I close my rig with a pin! :) I use duct/"Gription" tape on the tuck tab of the cover over my pin/bridle. (Based on review with my coach of the video I have up on youtube. the ENTIRE video, not just what's on youtube. Going from a sit, to back, then to belly / track, I see this flap comes loose.) I don't want my pin (OR BRIDLE) exposed, so gription tape on the tuck tab prevents that.

  • I know, but it still sounds funny.

    .....

    Man up and use nails.

  • Yeh man duct tape keeps everything closed. Even your main.

I did AFF in 97. There was a guy doing his at the same time. It took him 26 to get through...Maybe this is his bro?

  • 26? my GOD! Make sure I never got off a plane with these guys in the air..

  • You've just got to relax!

  • Doggone it! I'm about to take my "Fourth Flight" Saturday, and I've still got major butterflies to deal with. But I guess you can't have the high without the apprehension, so help me! And I'm going tandem again! How many jumps does it take before I can get on that plane, be ok with the constant rocking and maneuvering of the plane, and then approach the exit without being so mother-flippin' scared??? Right now I'm just trying to apply Law of Attraction and thinking of calm things and music.

  • I'm not going to lie, that was funny :) Guess you put this up for ppl to smile at. But I gotta' hand it to you for not giving up and getting your shit together. Gratz for that.

And I've seen your other videos so I guess you finished the course and now rock the skies with sitfly and headdown :)

  • Yep that backloop to head down at 06:22 is great - must try next time :-D Great progression - well done!

  • tbf you were shite at the start and nearly died but you leanred a lot and progressed well! well done

  • Nice progression! A blast watching you go from the first to the last.

    Congrats!

  • Don't give up buddy!! in the end you're starting to get the hang of it... by the way, Could you teach me that backloop to head down manuever??? :P

  • I'm on stage 5 at the moment and have failed it twice. I find it quite odd though I have gone from exiting the plane with 2 instructors to exiting on my own with an instructor following, talk about going from the paddling pool to the deep end.

  • Got there in the end fella, nice backloop by the way!

  • omg what do you do if you start spinning uncontrollably?

  • You correct your body position, of course it's easy to say this on the ground where you are actually standing on something!

  • you yell out "fu*k" and fall faster

  • Yeah what do you do then? How do you get out of it?

  • I had a hard time learning how to stop an unwanted spinning. First I spent too much time fighting with the air which ended in a low pull. Later I pulled too high a couple of times because of panic. If you start spinning and really can't stop it then it's best to pull. You may have line twists but that's all. Spinning and not doing anything may cause severe injuries.

With time and practice you learn how to relax and fly smoothly. And that's a great feeling :-)

  • relaxing and not fighting it to begin with is the best way :)

  • hey was this Jared Miller at I'm guessing Buckeye? I recognize the jumpsuit :)

  • Its somewhere in Arizona. Not Eloy. Maybe coolidge?

  • 6:20 is the best, backloop into a head down dive! i'd pay to learn that one! lol, thanks for the upload.

  • It all starts to come together at the end, I found it easier learning from a bigger twin engined plane as you get smoother exits from higher altitudes which means more time to practice.

Hope you are still jumping but im sure you are as it gets in the blood :)

    Blue skys

  • Nice.

  • HAHAHAHAHA.... my god that was sketchy.....

  • no, I did aff in 7 jumps, 1 jump for each level a while ago. If you fall all you need to do is arch you back, the angle of your knees should be around 45° (yours are more like 90°) that's important, your position of your arms seem to look OK, and don't look down when you pull the pilot chute (look at the horizon), your body position tend to tilt forward making your opening feel a bit harder. Keep both your shoulders level or you will turn around in circles.

  • I was a bit sarcastic but that is actually good advice. I posted this video mainly for giggles but also to show that starting out can be tough but once you get it you get it. take care

  • @PdsD27641 Thanks for posting this video, I had kind of a whacky AFF too. This just goes to show you that students can have a hard time starting out but just stick with us and we'll do fine. You jump masters are great.

  • There's probably a word which your instructor said to you alot but obviously did not filter in: arch, arch, arch, arch.....and arch!!!! Very unstable, very bad position, I hope your not thinking of doing freefly in the future, you can forget about RW too if don't get ALOT better.

Btw, who did your packing job? the flap of your BOC was loose exposing the pin.

  • thanks. you sure have a lot of good advice and great knowledge of skydiving equipment. lmmfao. have you gone on your second tandem yet?

  • lol

  • @jazzthieve Great advice my instructor gave me to arch was "Imagine you're getting a blow job through a letter box." ;P

  • lol nice

  • hahahahahah x)

  • hahahahaha
