from Jose' Sepulveda, the hermeterec......dear Per Olav, you are one of the ones who got me started playing guitar, I so loved your playing! I listen to you on youtube all the time. Please tell where I can get your arrangements of BWV 1007 so I can play this much-loved piece. Your friend and admirer, Jose' hermeterec@gmail.com
Youre playing is so, i just wanna say its perfect. Youre phrasing for example is so tasteful and well placed. Your choice of transcriptions-not sure if thats yours or not but, its just got a really friendly and just a very appealing tone and feel. Obviously there are many versions, youve just made this piece so much more delightful Whats your secret?. Thanks!!
If you're familiar with Steve Hackett/Genesis. His solo song called Horizons on the 1972 album Foxtrot is borrowed from this Prelude. Just figured that out!
Nice playing, but I still wonder how do You manage to get so many viewers?! You outclass in this regard great masters of past, like Segovia, or masters of our times, like Dylla, Kuropaczewski. How, on earth, is this possible??
Don't get me wrong, Your playing is good quality as for an amateur.
Having been working on this piece for the last several weeks, I am so happy to now have what I consider to be the gold standard for the guitar arrangement of it. It was just so perfectly done and how I want my performance of it to sound! Thank you so much for your contribution, Per-Olov.
wow you are a great artist. just checked your website and now listening to your Album "after silence" on spotify. great man. hope someday i can play the tunes you're playing. wish you all the best...

After deciphering music scores, the fact I can look on your fingers and interpretation makes matters easier for me, especially since I am a self-learning man. Awesome version. Thanks for inspiring me to dust off my classical guitar, I've relearned this after much effort...I have the Duarte revised transcription but have changed it up based on this video....@:15-:20 brilliant fingering.
En verdad eres excelente... Yo había tocado la canción varias veces pero hasta ahora no me sale perfecta, eres un gran ejemplo a seguir en guitarra clásica!!
You're really awesome... I've played that song many times, but even today I can't play it perfectly. You're a great example to follow on clasic guitar!!!
Am very pleased to have stumbled upon your videos. Have bought my 6yr old boy his first guitar for his birthday 5 days ago. After going through the most very basic of beginner steps, he likes to listen to your playing and knows with practice, hard work and love for music he can one day mimic those tunes. Thank you.
@AndanteLargo Mr. Per Olov you're great I always listen to you, I am new in this classical guitar world and i would like to play like these. Very awesome! Congratulations!
I love this piece and tremendously enjoy hearing Yo Yo Ma play it on his cello, but this is probably the best guitar rendition I have heard. Each note is crisp, without any of the "raspiness" that happens when the string isn't firmly on the fret, which I hear with other players. And even the way the volume increases and decreases for certain passages really captures the emotion of this piece. Bravo, signore!
Hi there, I play this prelude too, it's very nice although it's a bit difficult. Greetings from Colombia Maestro Kindgren. I was wondering if you knew where to find in the internet a music sheet I've been searching for a while without success. It's the 6 cafes pieces by Vojislav Ivanovic, and I only have found the book for sell but I need it for downloading. Thanks, you are a great guitar player!
Peo, yes! long time! Very Very cold here in Chicago! I look forward to your video of Hallelujah and I hate those blasted copyright issues! I wish they would just go away because I would also love to have your arrangement for "Maria" from West Side Story. Just a pipe dream I know...sigh......
Hi, do you have a TAB sheet for this, and what is your website? I think you could also sell video lessons with the CD, cut into 4 or 5 sections. But you need to show the fingerboard up close, with markings, to make it simple.
Then, the Bach Lute prelude, difficult as this to just read the tab.
Best I've ever heard it played, it takes me all of my time to learn a folk tune, how the heck you remember all of those notes just amazes me it's pure genius at work.
an old friend showed me this piece of art a few months ago, and I finally found it again!!!!thank you for your beautiful beautiful work!!! eize yafa meod!!!!
Your work is utterly brilliant, and from the comments I've seen on your postings, has inspired many many people. I am wondering if you have done this piece already perhaps... 'Hallelujah' by Leonard Cohen. A haunting and beautiful song that you would no doubt bring to life with your incredible talent. Have you any plans to release a CD of covers, or is that too complicated/expensive from a licensing standpoint? Cheers!
Hi there! Thank you for your kind comment. I am so fortunate to be able to inspire many players. Its good to know.
I actually made an arrangement of Hallelujah. I might post it soon here...
My2 latest CDs are with my own music because it is easier to record. You are right, it will be more complicated and expensive with covers. But I think I will do that too soon.
@AndanteLargo ....I just happened to spot this comment and I would like to second the motion of a Peo version of "Hallelujah". Please do it! And provide your arrangement in tab on your website too! Please??? By the way, I love how you play this Bach piece.....one of my favorites.
I might post my arrangement later. But I cannot promise anything. Selling it on my web shop is another matter. To do that, i need the rights... probably impossible to get...
There may come a day when I shall take the time to write a whole mail/mssg to put this into contex, but for now, please know that listening to you play has for the first time in over two years brought serenity to my mind. Thank you. You have the hands of an angel. v.v
My jaw is dropping. This is such a beautiful classical guitar interpretation of one of my favourite Bach pieces. Bravo! I'm struggling with the minuets from BWV 1007 and there's no way I'll ever be as good! Just listening to this makes me want to practice more though ;)

@THELORDMORRISON Yep I bought it. I have been practicing this for about a month now. I have page 1 and 2 memorized hehe but it get's choppy and slow from there. I keep working on a couple of measures each day.
@Mariarel8 Nããããão, de dor de ouvido! Esse tal de Bach era muito medíocre. No violão, então...
rsrs Brincadeira. ;)
@EduardoBrasil10000 Johann Sebastian Bach mediocre!!!
You have inspired me to learn this song. I bought the tab from your site and it looks great! Now, this will take me about 6 months to learn hehe. That's my goal. Slow and steady.
nice playing !! ur really a great classical musician !! thats for sure but why don't you play this prelude the segovia way :P i like his arangement with all the bass notes more too be honest
absoloutley fantastic. How do you record your videos? you manage to record your sound so well! You inspire me to keep perfecting my playing, I have so much to do! Thankyou!
Andantelargo, i've noticed there's a different note between your interpretation and the ones from Segovia and Li Jie. Look at 0:55 in your video, 0:52 in Segovia's and 0:54 in Li Jie's.
Wow, this was really nice! Splendid indeed!!! Thanks for sharing this. I like your arrangement. The key of D obviously fits well and I'm certain dear ol' Johann Sebastian would certainly approve of the transcription. Like someone said below, you really brought Bach to life, and isn't that what music is all about?!
Yes I loved it, and actually I play the classical guitar as well, I take lessons from a man who studied Andre Sagovia. I think i was very lucky to find my teacher and I plan to NEVER drop the guitar. Anyway I thought it was lovely.Keep playing.
really really cool. This piece falls easily under the fingers on cello, but looks fiendishly difficult on guitar. Very clever arrangement to get around some of the open string notes not available on guitar.
Man, that's beautiful, buddy. So nice. thanks for posting this , I gotta go back and do this whole thing over, now. See what you've done? haha thanks again man.
I really love most of the versions you play of different classical pieces such as this; I have played other people's iterations of this piece and it just doesn't sound as good as this.
However, I find the sheet music/tabs on your website to be highly overpriced, especially since there is no cheaper 'package' deal if you buy more than one piece. I really want to learn this version of BWV 1007 Prelude, but I can't justify spending $10 on a single piece.
This might sound like a silly question, but do you think it would be more of a struggle to learn this piece without a classical guitar. I only have a Seagull (Mini jumbo).
Bravo

I absolutely loved the whole piece, but really -and I DO NOT exaggerate!- I had shivers from minute 2.08 till the end.

You have inspired me to learn this song. I bought the tab from your site and it looks great! Now, this will take me about 6 months to learn hehe. That's my goal. Slow and steady.

Andantelargo, i've noticed there's a different note between your interpretation and the ones from Segovia and Li Jie. Look at 0:55 in your video, 0:52 in Segovia's and 0:54 in Li Jie's.
Saludos desde Chile. Bonita interpretación!

Please go to my web site at per-olovkindgren. com and see under guitar for more info in my own guitar(s).

Very well done, fluently and flowing as it should be, with solid rhythmic phrasing to it!

Very clever arrangement to get around some of the open string notes not available on guitar.

is BWV 1007 in D?
and not in G?

:-) yes the original Cello version is in G. My arrangement of this is in D.

@eb556 I recommend using your own tab-machines (ears). ;)

This might sound like a silly question, but do you think it would be more of a struggle to learn this piece without a classical guitar. I only have a Seagull (Mini jumbo).
