Uncle Ren, The quadratic formula is used to solve quadratic equations that are set to 0. For example if you had x^2-x-6=0 you could use the quadratic formula to get x=3 and x=-2. This video is about factoring x^2-x-6 which would factor to (x-3)(x+2). Why is it when I used the quadratic formula to solve this equation, my answer was x=14.08 or x= 13.84
