Look at the date when this video was made. It was 2 days after the game first came out in Japan. Nobody had even got to Inward Chaos yet and everyone was still learning the mechanics of the game.

I had a harder time with this fight than I did many of the Inward Chaos fights. When I did it, my Cecil was totally unprepared. I didn't expect something like this so early in the game.

The fights later on you are ready and prepared for with a character you know how to use pretty well, where here many people haven't even visited the ability screen yet for Cecil.

when you get to chapter 2 of the darkness saga im in it, dont even try unless if youre atleast lvl40. sorry for me english but the bad guys strength rises up to all new lvls and it is also more fun. (this is for anyone who hasnt gotten to that chapter yet.)

Cecil is able to switch between his Dark Knight and his Paladin mode during combat, with his aerial combat being in Paladin mode and his ground combat in Dark Knight mode.

He could kill me in 2-3 hits. I had to come up with a strategy around him. Most of my air attacks at the time left me completely open and I'd take the three hits really fast and it would be over. Golbez has his best attacks in the air so if I could stay on the ground I'd have a better chance of surviving. Also, keep in mind this was back when the game just came out so everyone was still figuring it out. I only had 4 moves at this time.

thing about Cecil, he has two forms which specialize in different areas. his DK form fights on the ground while his Paladin fights in the air. the reason he kept spamming the same attack was probably cuz it was the only one he knew how to do without having to jump in the air and become paladin.

Ok. See the numbers right next to the ensignia's? That's brave. The numbers below the hp line are hp.

There are two types of atacks. You rack up brave points using a brave attack.

And you deal damage with hp attacks. Theres a number between the two characters hp bar. When you commit a break, that number gets added to your brave. When you use an hp attack, it deals damage equal to the amount of brave you have. Then the brave goes down to 0 and you have to deal brave damage again.

Cecil's very interesting here. He only breaks out his swords in EX Mode. Otherwise, as a Dark Knight, he uses a spear and, as a Paladin, he uses a staff. I think they're references to Kain and Rosa, respectively.

Lightbringer is the best he can use in the Gba version. I'm not sure about the DS version though. And remember, they used the concept art versions of everyone and their weapons. They won't all look like they did in the games. I had to explain that for the people who questioned warrior of light.

if i remember correctly, its called crystal.. found near the end of the game, when all the good items are found on the moon. there are a lot of secret rooms in that level. Unforunately for each ultimate weapon you find, there's a harsh boss there waiting...i remember one specific boss fight that casts doom on all your party members... good times...

WOW dude. 1:30, you were so lucky! I haven't gotten this far yet. I had one hell of a time trying to defeat Garland. It took me about 13 tries, but I finally got him. I cannot play as Firion though (Frionel?)...so Destiny Odyssey II is going to be rough.
