Has anyone created a documentary on the history of the Reichstag? How much of the building burned down in 1933? When was it again reopened/rebuilt? Was the original building made of flammable wood? or brick? I would like to watch a truthful documentary on the history of the building.

I wanted to see inside this amazing building but in November when i went to Berlin it had been closed the day before, because of the terrorists warnings.I was very annoyed but safety has to come first,maybe next time.Id seen it in its destroyed state wanted to see it all reconstructed.

Inside the Building every tourist can walk upstairs inside a dome of glass and watch how the politicians congress and work down in the parliament from above. This should symbolise the transparency of german politics.

Yes. German industries should also change their tradenames. But , 10-15% of germans agree with neonazis , and NPD is on political boards on some cities. As a brazilian, I never stop remembering US secret Morgentau propposal , istead of Nuremberg Trial ( Rooselt ´s one) making Germany an agricultural state. Germany have few food resources.One really must Keep an eye on them. The day NPD proposes Constitution changes, Germans must be definitely vanished of all earth.

@miguelmouta But 90-85% of germans agree with the communists (btw: socialism and communism is a german "invention") so we need the (only a few) patriots and nationalists. We are the inventors of the more things than your development country will ever have. We are the "champions" in culture - more than 1000 years of german and more than 35000 years of the germanic peoples made the biggest culture nation in world (Beethoven,Mozart,Bach,Strauß,­Händel,Goethe,Schiller,Brecht,­Kant,Mann,Hesse.........)

the buildin in the 1930 was sick. You could shoot artiliry and other heavy fire without a scratch on the building

I toured this building in 2004 with a university group and goverment appointed tour guide. Saw most of the inside. The tour guide refered to it as where the political comeedy of the goverment took place. Nice tour. On the inside by the elevators they left the grafeeti from the russains soldiers that captured it in 1945 in tact along with some sections of origional interior ceiling marble. The big eagle hanging in the main chamber was found in the basement during renovation and the original.
