  • Thank you... this was thoroughly enjoyable.

  • Nice voices and music! but I'm afraid the alto does not sing in tune at 7:15

  • At 5.45 it stops and I cannot go on! Is it just a my pc problem?

  • @lojundolo I think yes, because on my PC the video runs correctly... I'm sorry!

  • definitely fun to listen to, but would be that much better with a gamba & a counter-tenor (or a mezzo sans vibrato, if one exists)

  • Perfect tempi. Beautifully performed. Wish someone would do a new recording availible for purchase or Spotify.

  • Wow! Nice video!

Ésta pieza fue interpretada por el Coro de la Univ. de Los Lagos en Osorno, Chile el años 2000 aprox.

  • im studyng the piece, excellent a sound and interpretation, thanks alot for upload this video ... +1000 ;)

  • peccato qualcuno vibra troppo!!!!

  • My kids used to sing this piece when singing in a kids chorus. I loved it... and it is so difficult to find.

  • Finally...it is performed and on YouTube!

The only extant recording I had ever heard of this was on an old vinyl recording from the "Music of the Baroque Era" Readers Digest series--with FULL choir.

This is the first time I've heard this digitally. Love the acoustics! One of the warmest, sweetest pieces of music I have ever heard, from any era.

If you ever want to truly impress people with an eclectic, obscure yet brilliant gem, play this for them--Buxtehude wasn't just an organist!

  • Love this work since 50+ years and still sounds magnificient as ever. Reminds me, beauty-wise and spiritually, a bit of Arcangelo Corelli's "Christmas Concerto" in G Minor. Klasse Komposition des Lübecker Meisters!.

  • Very beautiful recording - am very much looking forward to singing this in a short while!

Great help to know what this is about - Thank You very much for uploading this video.

  • This was my first meeting with Buxtehude as a young baryton in the Oslo Chatedral Boy's Choir some 10 years ago. A truly beautiful piece. I love the ritonellos.

  • E' una cosa emozionante!!! Bellissimo

  • Buxtehude is my favorite composer of all time!!!!

  • muy bella pieza

  • I have recently discovered Buxtehude's music, and I have adored every piece so far. Shame he is not better known.

  • Non siamo sicuri che Questo MAgnificat sia di Buxtehude, ma è ugualmente un pezzo degno del celbre compositore! plaudo

  • OH‥ Mamma Mia!

    I can not express. (:○;)
