Stephen Tompkinson is brilliant in this episode of Bedtime. Completely believable. There isn't a second of awkward dialogue or acting. He's such a natural that it's easy to feel entirely sympathetic toward him. Claire Skinner is also well cast, and they're quite good together, but there isn't the same crackling electricity and magnetism that Stephen shared with Dervla Kirwan in Ballykissangel. Unfortunately, it's unlikely we'll see that great pairing again, which is a great loss to us all.
