Speaking as an experienced psychologist, I can tell you that one of the greatest selling points of this plane is the square wave sound which becomes considerably louder during take-off. Many PC12's are owner flown, and the sound emitted draws attention to the plane; it's akin to the owner / pilot symbolically "farting" down the runway.
I'm not really a psychologist; I just made that up!!
its amazing how much good music's out there that you never hear. you just stumble upon them. mainstream radio sucks!!! great music throughout this video!

@AirstripBum that would be my first choice! to just hear the sounds of cockpit and engines! but if they do ruin it with music at least it's good music!
@kade6 Tis true! If it looks like music all the way through, I usually mute the sound except for one time. It was dubbed over with good Gospel music. I'll leave it on for good New Orleans jazz or Blue Grass as well.
@rustycoon The propeller is governed to 1700 RPM. The pilot has to adjust it to avoid exceeding ITT and under some atmospheric conditions the pilot has to retard the power control lever to avoid over torquing the engine.
@rustycoon Prop is controlled by a PMU (power management unit) Keeps the prop at a constant speed, along with keeping the turbine at the proper speed, controls fuel flow and gives near linear power for the pilot. In the event the PUM fails, the prop speed is controlled by a mechanical counter balance system standard in many constant speed aircraft.
what's the first song please?! :)

@kade6 Maybe so but I'd much rather watch these flying vids with no music and hear what they're saying or just hear the aircraft sounds.

Hey. Thee isn't a fadec but the prop is automatically controlled. I'm pretty sure it's based on throttle position.

Nice video!
Why doesn't a PC-12 have a prop control? Are the propsettings done by a fadec?

@skydive911 FADEC, or controlled by the avionics to guarentee maximum fuel efficiency and SHP/power setting.
