Um...this is "The Streets of Philadelphia," by Bruce Springsteen for the movie "Philadelphia." Won the Oscar for best song. SO not associated with Kramer vs. Kramer.
I love this song, I love Dustin & Justin-"smile" This song sets the mood as it would have in the movie. I think this movie came out in 1979 or 80. anyway, My dad and I went to see it. It was during the period when the divorce rate was just starting to rise! It was an interesting time in our society! But that sad day was just on the horizon, when the family unit was just beginning to be looked upon, differently than the traditional, Mom AND Dad with the children all together.
A timless film that will for years to come, depict the heartrenching stuggle faced by hundreds of thousands of families - the stuggle among parents to maintain a well rounded, secure existance for their kids, in the face of divorce.
Justin Henry was so good in this role,I also liked him in 1984's Sixteen Candles!!! I was 6 years old when I saw Kramer vs Kramer,I cried when Justin's character Billy fell off of the monkey bars and hurt himself,I felt so bad for him.where is Justin today?
One of my favourite films. It brought back memories I thought were lost (of my parents' divorce) and just made me cry. Plus, Dustin wasn't bad looking in the '70's.

Great movie. But let's not forget that Tatum O'Neal was the youngest winner ever of the Academy Awards. If you haven't seen Paper Moon, you must.
