i mostly listened to opeth becuz of martin lopez drum but now he left em so idk...he had a more progressive style then this one who is more metal...although in this song and cd i listened for how quick lopez was xD i still dont count deliverance as my favorite...i prefer ghost reveries...dammnation...blackw­ater park...etc

You don't count Still Life as one of the best? Godhead's Lament would be enough for me to buy the album right there, but the other 6 songs are almost as good. And hey, Morningrise is also amazing if you're into the older style of Opeth. I agree with you though, the new drummer is much more into the death metal side of prog death metal than Lopez was. I pretty much thought of Lopez as a prog drummer who ended up in a death metal band all along. He's great though

yes i do like still life too xD...the ones i dont like are morningrise and orchid...well its not that i dont like its just dat i dont really like the metal style of opeth i like the progressive style more...i have listened to few songs of orchid and morningrise and they are good...especially the 20 minute song from morningrise xD but i still prefer every cd from 3rd to the last

Black Rose Immortal, the 20 min song, is just godly. Its right up there with like Supper's Ready, Change of Seasons, Crimson, all those prog epics. But the production on morningrise aint so good, even Mike hates it apparently. Still Life is a better album but Opeth makes such good music its hard to say they've done anything bad. Even their new album is amazing.
