They should have had the Dingo Warrior hail from Australia, since they are the only country that has them. What in the world is a Dingo Warrior, anyway?
Anyone else ever notice that the later Chris Adams matches would almost always start by him getting cheap shotted then end with him getting cheap shotted?
I'm surprised the WWF did not dispute using "Eye of the Tiger" for Chris Adams back in this territory when Hogan was using it during the very same time. Back then everyone was sue happy for owning the rights to gimmicks, music, ETC. The only exception was the usage of "The Incredible Hulk" Hogan of which Marval owned prior and made a deal with Vince for a percentage of which Marval made a ton of profits all the way to the bank.
i get a feeling that matched was botched.. didn't look like it should've ended with a terrible elbow drop.. even dingo (lol) carried on witb the match as if he'd kicked out..
this is so sad. what a no-talent. He was the WWF champion at a time that they had an in-the-prime Curt Hennig, just-entering-singles Bret Hart, up-and-coming Shawn Michaels, under-used Rick Rude, under-used Ted DiBiase, and under-used Kerry Von Erich. Dingo single-handedly held back the careers of at least a full hand-full of the best talents of the entire generation. As soon as they realized it they tried to pair him with "up-and-comers" (aka dark match riffraff) like Papa Shango. Too late
@calantasbs They both sucked to high heaven when they started, but Sting stayed in Mid-South/UWF where they were really good about developing young guys into stars (Ted Dibiase, Paul Orndorff, JYD, Duggan, Dr. Death, Freebirds, Butch Reed - who was already moving up, but exploded in MS - Rick Steiner, Sting and I'm sure a few that I forgot). Sting's attitude and aptitude to learn are reasons Watts asked him to stay when he told Warrior to hit the road.
I recorded a ton of the World Class shows off ESPN back in 1986. Looking back, I'm amazed they did that. You won't see wrestling on ESPN these days. I don't think Chris Adams should have lost the bout following an elbow smash. That was weak. The match outcome could have planned differently.
actually, the awa is on espn classic every weeknight at midnight. You can tell the warrior messed up the finish when he didn't catch adams off the top rope.
@bigmike7379 The Dingo Warrior is better known as The Ultimate Warrior the blonde man on the microphone, Percy Pringle, is now well known as Paul Bearer.

this is why Warrior won the lawsuit. The gimmick was clearly established years b4 he got to the wwf.

Paul Bearer...????!!!!

@Tramosnjanin
Yes it is. Percy Pringle was Paul Bearer in the WWF probably because he earned a degree in mortuary science in real life.

Its funny how early in there career when sting and UW were both together as a tag but then polar opposite in terms of wrestling skill.

Percy Pringle 3 is a legend and one of the great managers and talkers of all time. I'd love to see him pop up in ROH and start a new Pringle Dynasty.
Chris Adams is also a legend RIP.
And the other guy in the match ...wasnt that good then. I heard he wasnt good in WWF and I know he wasnt good in WCW. But he tried lol

Bill Mercer unintentionally summed up the Dingo/Ultimate Warrior perfectly.

I guess this was a non-title match.
Dingo only won the Texax Heavyweight Title from Bob Bradley, and the their tag titles along with Lance Von Erich...
I guess the announcer made a mistake by calling Chris Adams "the defending world champion"...

This is where Jim Hellwig went after he left Mid-South/UWF . He was Sting's partner as Bladerunner Rock.

Percy Pringle had more of a Momma's boy character then in WCCW. Used to have a jacket that said Momma's pride and joy.
