I just Googled Mac E. Hadley and discovered that he was murdered at his home in Arizona back in 2006. I can't help but wonder whether it was truly a murder or a highly organized assassination due to the type of work he was doing and the attention that he brought to the study of melanin. In any case, I think his killer escaped the death penalty but suffers from a diseased liver. Very interesting.
