A lot of people are stuck in the then when they didn't want it to be a now so they relive the stuck then as a now as a safe solution to not live the moment of the then now.
The interviewers question regarding people seeing a therapist and delving into child hood memories is actually referring to a common misconception about psychotherapy. Psychotherapists and their patients don't really need to talk about the past as they only need to work with the mental construct of the past that is in the persons mind now. I think Eckhart Tolles response to this question is bang on.

I sincerely appreciate your reply. Although I must say that the peace of mind available now can only be relative since we are ONE with all; and much of what manifests around us is suffering and agony, as well as joy and beauty. My close and distant neighbour cries for help. I somehow feel his suffering in the midst of peaceful moments of my life.
He should have gone to a Dentist back THEN. His breath probably smells like ass right NOW and he better plan on buying false teeth in the near FUTURE. And that's REALITY. Rich folks can afford to be full-of-shit.
Tolle was clearly not satisfied with the present moments of his past. Now, he is constantly admired and his ego is subtle in make him keep talking about the importance of the NOW. @TheRealDirtyScary Not much, but then he actually has a dissociative disorder and has treated quite a few people very badly. Of course calling that Enlightenment and selling it to the gullible for a fast buck is always a seemingly better alternative than actually addressing his real behaviours.
i agree, although i think it soulfully depends on the meaning and how serious it is. it's funny, just lame because the user (of the word bitch) is actually demoting their own self.

Does it help to have a Swedish accent? What a twerp, got his degree at The Dogger Bank University for Dickheads. As for all you eejits with these comments of praise, well, try thinking. This geezer has just wasted quite a lot of my NOW, & I deeply resent it.
Can see we have a real brainiac here. Just because you don't get it means everyone else is an eejit. You are exactly what he depicts in his teachings as ignorant -- they no not what they do. With you it was so easy to recognize. Try reading the book before showing you got a big bag of nothing.
The fact that we are always in the NOW is startlingly obvious. It doesn't take much brain power to see it. Many, many people have said, written & thought this before. I Agree. What I am asking is why this man gets such Kudos for stating the obvious? I could write a book saying the world is not flat. I am a thinker, clearly there are many who don't bother with that, or why would it apparently be such a startling revelation to them that we are ever in the now
Too long for one post; Part 1of 4; It seems your focus was on a few sound-bites and made the leap on knowing the whole teaching -- and further that anyone that doesn't grab the obvious 'Now' Tolle speaks of is an idiot. In your brief reply it is clear you did not understood the message. You say, "I am a thinker." And earlier; "well, try thinking."
Cont'd Part 2of4:If you learn anything from Tolle's teachings you would know right there is your first issue. Tolle talks of world plight largely due to people so lost in their own thinking-minds with their never-ending running-dialogues, and believing whatever their own personal story tells them because it must be true 'I have an IQ-this and member of mensa-that,' etc. etc. cont'd ...
Cont'd Part 3of4: Tolle recognizes that if every person were to continue at the ego-driven pace you happen to personify, it certainly means the end of humanity (literally) unless people step back from their own mind-made-egocentric-streaming thought patterns and realize our self-created vulnerability is pegging the top of the "extremely-important-meter!" cont'd ...
ldkennedy04 Well, what 's not obvious ? Man IS selfish, only too obvious by the way we treat & blame animals. Unfortunately selfishness is a genetic necessity for the survival & 'betterment' of this ghastly species of ours. We deserve to be anihilated, espescialy as we are now. Of course 'ego' is not good, of course, but it's inevitable. The encouragement of narcissists & psychopaths-who seem to be proliferating & is clear from T.V. & the actions of big corporations, not to mention facebook.
ldkennedy04 When I was young it was commonly said that decadance comes prior to the death of civilization. No-one remembers that now as they watch their big T.V. that has nothing worth watching on. I agree with all you say, & have thought it for YEARS. He's preaching to the converted. A better audience would be the megalomaniacs & politicians of the world
You are right when you say that the human ego is not avoidable. We live with it as a consequence of a physical body, but the difference between man and animal is that man can reach for something better it's a choice, the choice of peace and understanding, etc, over the contrary. If man doesn't realize that his will is at his hands then he is lower than animal because his power to destroy is far greater than any other creature, but behaving selflessly comes from the ego as well, its just a choice
@dehountinge I agree with what you say- mostly. Unfortunately there is a minority of people who aren't 'wired' up in this way Some people have been shown to work via the 'reptilian' part of their brains. Psychopaths etc. Coming to terms with that fact is extremely difficult, & hard to incorporate into a trusting view of the species. I don't like the way we seek happiness through technology. Seems ridiculous to me. When Tolle talks about 'light' he really means neutrality
Cont: Sad & happy are relative to each other. We can't have one without the other. I think what irritates me about what he says is so many have said it before. Is it his 'ego' that made him write a book & preach? I think so. Meanwhile, we are thinking that technology 'security'(which is really an illusion)and stuff is going to make us feel good. The future doesn't ever exist, however foresight does
This is ridiculous and this guys made a fortune saying this too
He doesn't understand the Mind and your true Being are different
The manifest mind's job is to deal with living this life, surviving. enjoying, crying, planning, remembering, feelings, just all aspects of this bodies existence. This guys a buffoon, well maybe not, his eyes aren't completely opened yet
Cont'd Part 4of4; In today's world, our species easily has the technology to annihilate the planet. Yesteryear, world-ending technology was not available, so the message that certainly has always been there throughout the ages, wasn't as catastrophically important as it is today. But the simple message is this; if people stay lost in their stories & their all-important-ego's (BTW; which is NOT being in the NOW) then that is where we are headed. Very simple. Read a New Earth, and you will get it
Tolle teaches false doctrine and I don't like it. His way is NOT the truth. How many people through him and Oprah Winfrey have they swayed to believe in falsehoods ?
Thank you for sharing such a profound and valuable teaching, that is truly available right now. I just allowed myself to listen, with full attention, and engage myself into the present moment. The result was an inner peace, I had not felt for a long time. My soul recognized this as sustenance. I love this new awareness, thank you Ekhart.
WE LIVE IN THE NOW.:-) It is AS it is, Is our moto. LOVE you Eckhart. Your book changed all of our lives. May the best come to you, Dear Friend. A devoted Fan. I had to do the work, this is what all must realize. :-)))) Love and PEACE Dear Eckhart. :-)
Dear Eckhart, what a joy to hear you once again. Being part of your Live Web Event changed my life. It was the beginning of my New Path my sweetie that crossed/over Jan. 27, 2007 brought my way. --I was one of those living in the "What if's" the FUTURE, that didnot even happen many times. WORRY-WART #56 I called myself. Your class changed this. RIght now three people NO work in my family, they apply over and over, the one 'ALMOST' had his car repro'd, some family member called him an helped.
Are you talking about yourself...cause that's the only person you could possibly have that level of knowledge of...although your level of anger and projection on a youtube video seems to show you're not that aware of yourself at all
Are you identified with the 'mind' of comparison, difference, other, judging? This is what is to be observed in ones 'self' only then can this teaching reveal it's deeper communication, the Direct Transmission of the True Self Condition.
If these reactions are observed with enough intensity the Un-conditioned Awareness or Light of Consciousness Itself will first illumine these mind-forms and corresponding emotions and then Simply Outshine them. Then the Truth becomes Self-Authenticating.
I like this guy, but his message is totally old. It's Buddhism, it's Thoreau and Emerson, it's Wordsworth, Blake, Keats, and Shelley.
At the end of the day, the industrialized modern mind is damaged and the healthy ones among us have UNLEARNED most of what they heard growing up in a crazy, capitalist, consumer driven society.
This is very simple. It requires no great erudition to ascertain- he could state his truth in a more colloquial manner.
tristramshan none of the people you've mentioned, ever lived before Buddha. Most messages given by people that put their own spin on things is old. There is nothing new about that. This guy is not some joe schmoe, he really had achieve a great spiritual level on his own. Most spiritual people are like that, and they do it by delving into the writings of others, and then branching off into their own path. Who he is should not be devalidated and dismissed. Seems you are trying to be negative
Overall, I like his message and I wish more people would hear it. I happen to think they could get the same info reading Buddhist texts, Walden, the romantics, etc.
tristramshandy3 I've been reading Zen buddhism most of my life, and it is an incredible experience. Eckart Tolle delivers that message in a way so that the world can hear what Buddha wanted to project. Sometimes the world needs the information prechewed because in reality the average person is lazy, sleeping, and they are always looking for the ultimate parent. I'm not like that, I've read it all, but other haven't, and Mr. tolle can really help us all by delivery the message to the Kidults.
It's THE TRUTH, been spoken through many beeings, at the time it's needed, through the words that are needed. Buddha at the time Buddha lived, Jesus, when it was his time...and today Tolle....at his and OUR time... for US to understand. Isn't Life wonderful :-)!!!!!
Life gives us chances after chances, posibility after posibility, to know ourselves, to know who we really are.
He isnt setting a certain set of rules such as Buddhism and offering a philosophy such as Emerson or Thoreu, nor is he giving ideas on how too achieve a better state such as Wordsworth. He simply is staing just Be Here Now! Accept and be Aware NOW! No matter what your outside idea of the world is..just be aware of your inner world. That too me isnt the same.
He is telling us to quiet our minds and that our minds are cluttered. I have read that wonderful message many, many times before.
I'm not sure how I got into attacking this guy and am now defending those perceived attacks- I LIKE his message.
I just wanted to point out that the things he stresses have been discussed many, many times before. I really love history and I like it when other people get a sense of history.
looool this guy is funny i love him, he made me laugh when read The Power of Now, that book actually came to me as a coincidence, i was thinking to myself "how i was never in the moment" and BAM! i found this book right infront of me full of dust and cobwebs in an old storage room. Changed my life.
The only state you can live in is the"Now".......All past memorys and future plans all happen in the "NOW" We are living in the now weather you know it or not.
I like the difference between "learning about yourself" & "knowing yourself" : So powerful !!! The True-self is Now not what I used to be. What I used to be is no longer.. Focus on the now Seize the day, Seize the PRESENT MOMENT... Shalom
thats crazy, because I went through the same thing Tolle went through in the past with depression. I finally awakened......and then i ended up bumping into Eckhart tolle's books. hehe. sometimes we must suffer to see the light.
I'm happy for you seeing the light. The difficulty comes for many when they try to repeat the experience. If it is the thinking (that thinks it is you) that is doing it, the light won't be the same. If it is the thinking that is awakened there is no fundamental change. Tolle doesn't address this characteristic of thinking.
Hi Livenowdoing!! you learn how to stay in the now practicing meditation, there are good books that can explain you how to meditate and what meditation is.
Then like you said who is going to stay there? The person? If the person is a concept it cannot stay there since it is not "real" it is just an image passing by in the awareness of light. Whatever is actual and real is not staying nor going anywhere, it is already it, here. Words can only take us so far, tricky, because even the very looking for it can actually obscure it...
It's such a relief to come back to these teachings. Usually it takes lots of time and a new problem popping up just to get over my last problem. But when I become conscious I feel total peace like a heavy weight has lifted or like the rain has stopped and the sun came out. I'm glad others can experience this with me.
wow it is amazing . I felt this today. It may sound corny but even in my drunken state I actually felt the now. It is an amazing feeling I wish I could feel it all the fucking time !
lfavailablename, you can!! just focus on the rhythm of how you breathe. then focus on your heart beat. this will aid you into the present moment. it has for me! peace!
Yes, that is a wonderful technique. It can become cumbersome when going about your daily activities, though. And... if it is the thinking that is focusing on the breathing, it will be living the moment, not you.
I surely appreciate your comments and it's nice to meet someone who can understand without even knowing what is happening to me or how I am in life. I am glad that ppl such as yourself exist. Even though I do not know you but I sense that you are able to spread alot peace and understanding around you.. or so I hope :) cheers to you !
This guy is so full of shit it's funny .Give me a break folks are you that desperate -and are your lives so screwed up that you can possibly give any credence to this idiot and his pet pig Oprah Winfrey .
And so what if it is ? Even if he is "wrong" does it matter if people get better because of it ? Does it matter if he or Oprah gets rich because of it ?.. NO, what matters is that they get better ... I hope you will understand this some day. You sound like a young teenager to be honest!
Kids need this teaching in school. The amount of rubbish they're taught and they're never taught the most important thing anyone can ever know, which is who they are. I certainly could have done with a dose of this at the age of 10 along with meditation classes.
I know what you mean but I disagree. Eckhart actually discourages his readers from teaching children some things (like about pain-bodies). I think it's probably better to lead by example by living in the now. Children need examples of real people being themselves. Teaching how to do that could be confusing and just lead to adding layer upon layer of false identifications and at an early age, especially, that is harmful.
I've heard Eckhart talk about educating children about the pain body, encouraging them to disidentify from it, watch it and notice it, after having a tantrum, not during it. Give them space, be calm and present while they're in full flow but talk about it afterwards, give it a name and ask questions like "what was that?"
Ah, thank you for reminding me of that. Those all sound like good strategies. I just worry that some people will try and teach too much of things like Eckhart's philosophy to their kids, but I suppose that can't be worse than how people usually raise their children.
If you like Tolle, you should also read the books by Dr. David Hawkins, who is also an enlightened author. His first spiritual book is Power Vs. Force, which you should read first if u want to understand his work.
I am a big fan of Eckharte, and I do agree that on this plane of existence in three dimensions, with time flowing one way, we only ever reside in an actual instant called now. However, I think it is worth considering the knowledge we have about higher dimensions. If we have an aspect of ourselves resident in a higher dimension, could that aspect not perceive multiple of our "nows" all at once, as the physicists and mathematicians purport? Just some thought for lively discussions... :) Peace.
what i would like right now , is to have a conversation with this guy . Talk about a breath of fresh air .....Your giving me hope Eckhart .. Your the spiritual man i can understand .
There is no place where God is not and that includes You and I. Once the ego is displaced what is there is Divine; God expressing through each of us. This is the natural way God intended for us to live.
The degree of anger and sarcasm in some of these comments reflects the degree of fear the ego has about its own demise.
I am grateful for the work that Tolle has done and for these YouTube videos that serve as gentle reminders to awake and be free.
The truth doesn't belong to Krishnamurti, Tolle, zen buddhists or anyone else. Tolle makes no secret of the fact that his teachings are an echo of many others, and frequently quotes them.
E.T.'s voice seems hoarse and his complexion looks a bit sickly. I would guess that has had a recent bout of the flu or something. Tolle is definitely not show-biz material, yet his energetic manner and tireless re-iteration of his "basic truth" is admirable. Perhaps he should only speak when he is "in the zone" but his commitment to helping others impels him to speak even when he's not at his best. This seems to be one of those times. I'm just speculating, of course...
Krishnamurti or Khrisna or Buda or Jesus or Mohamed ... doesn't matter. Tolle says that same old things in a bright way. Instead of thinking "how etc he is", I suppose it will be OK to listen and think about "his" words. It's nice to have our heart carryng no dramas.
michaelstmark - I think you need to examine your own hostility. You're obsessed with Krishnamurti and with attacking Tolle. I studied K and I think he'd have a few things to say to you - like, why are you so attached to the past? You have no idea whether Tolle is really an enlightened being or not - but it's quite clear that you are not.

I like Tolle a lot, but like yourself I question his sincerity. His teachings are dreesed-up Zen Buddhism. I reakon Tolle drives round in a ferrari whistling at chicks, getting into bar fights, and counts his huge wad of cash.
Tolle says himself that he zeroes in on the one simple truth that all religion has at its core. If Krishnamurti was alive today would he on You Tube? The seeming dupliciity in repeating he same truth is foremost in that it is worthy of repeating. Tolle was not always rich, and he has put much effort in his teaching. I am grateful to him.
He has a clear mind and very clear thinking. I appreciate that. We all have 'feet of clay', and we can all choose to see him with appreciation. Many do.
there is nothing wrong with using phrases etc from other people if that helps u get across your message to people!
we are all here for each other and should borrow what we need from other to help each other
in a lot of activity u need a teacher and what they pass on to u through showing u becomes apart of u,like martial arts.music etc,but u dont create conflict in yourself and say,i shouldnt be copying him!
we are all here for each other, use what works for u,surely this is a great thing.
how could people believe a man whose"source" is demons and satanic lies? this is the new age? This false christ is the last person anyone should get false spiritual information from! Islam is the religion of peace??? Thats news if I heard any. Fundamentalist?extremist islamics are responsible for an atrocious amount of terrorist violence. Clean that crap up and then we can talk about Islam being a religion of peace.
All religions have their share of extremists. Islam is in fact known to many as "the religion of peace", It is only a tiny minority of the muslims that are messed up enough to commit acts of terror. The teachings of Islam are indeed filled with wisdom, yet some people seem not to grasp it. May I say that your attitude towards islam isn't helping anyone. Acceptance and love are both vital in all major religions, having predjuces only contribute to strengthening the collective ego you identify with
I'm so grateful to have found Tolle's teachings/philosophy. You can literally feeeeel his Peace. It's contagious. It's real and it is much needed today.
eckhart diabolical? lol ..where does he mention hell, judgement, hate? no where... let people believe what they want and just care about your own life
The man isn't saying he is perfect, I don't know why certain spiritual videos seem to bring out a cold streak in people.
I think he has a clear message to just treat yourself as best you can and respect where and what you are and you can achieve a self knowledge that will take you through anything that life can put in front of you.
I like him and I get nothing but good vibes from his words.
the talk was okay, except that he tries to quote the Bible. Listen to John Sherman, or UG Krishnamurti. You will get a messasge that is not trying to be politically correct. Direct message, of how we have been deceiving ourselves.
Wish the volume was higher on these Tolle videos. I've turned the volume to max on YouTube & the computer, and Mr Tolle doesn't have a booming voice.

YOU, the BIG YOU are a witness to everything experienced
YOU are not your MIND!!!!!!!!!!
The mind is a vehicle, just as your body is
You can't take your mind with you when you leave
This is a big thing for people to see,
The Brain, (the Mind) is not only changing every second of the day, but will eventually die
The YOU will NOT DIE
And this doesn't have anything to do with any religion, believe what you want, what ever floats you boat

ldkennedy04 2 years ago
Cont'd Part 2of4:If you learn anything from Tolle's teachings you would know right there is your first issue. Tolle talks of world plight largely due to people so lost in their own thinking-minds with their never-ending running-dialogues, and believing whatever their own personal story tells them because it must be true 'I have an IQ-this and member of mensa-that,' etc. etc. cont'd ...
ldkennedy04 2 years ago
Cont'd Part 3of4: Tolle recognizes that if every person were to continue at the ego-driven pace you happen to personify, it certainly means the end of humanity (literally) unless people step back from their own mind-made-egocentric-streaming thought patterns and realize our self-created vulnerability is pegging the top of the "extremely-important-meter!" cont'd ...
ldkennedy04 2 years ago
ldkennedy04 Well, what 's not obvious ? Man IS selfish, only too obvious by the way we treat & blame animals. Unfortunately selfishness is a genetic necessity for the survival & 'betterment' of this ghastly species of ours. We deserve to be anihilated, espescialy as we are now. Of course 'ego' is not good, of course, but it's inevitable. The encouragement of narcissists & psychopaths-who seem to be proliferating & is clear from T.V. & the actions of big corporations, not to mention facebook.
flumoxed38 2 years ago
ldkennedy04 When I was young it was commonly said that decadance comes prior to the death of civilization. No-one remembers that now as they watch their big T.V. that has nothing worth watching on. I agree with all you say, & have thought it for YEARS. He's preaching to the converted. A better audience would be the megalomaniacs & politicians of the world
flumoxed38 2 years ago
You are right when you say that the human ego is not avoidable. We live with it as a consequence of a physical body, but the difference between man and animal is that man can reach for something better it's a choice, the choice of peace and understanding, etc, over the contrary. If man doesn't realize that his will is at his hands then he is lower than animal because his power to destroy is far greater than any other creature, but behaving selflessly comes from the ego as well, its just a choice
dehountinge 2 years ago 4
@dehountinge I agree with what you say- mostly. Unfortunately there is a minority of people who aren't 'wired' up in this way Some people have been shown to work via the 'reptilian' part of their brains. Psychopaths etc. Coming to terms with that fact is extremely difficult, & hard to incorporate into a trusting view of the species. I don't like the way we seek happiness through technology. Seems ridiculous to me. When Tolle talks about 'light' he really means neutrality
flumoxed38 2 years ago
Cont: Sad & happy are relative to each other. We can't have one without the other. I think what irritates me about what he says is so many have said it before. Is it his 'ego' that made him write a book & preach? I think so. Meanwhile, we are thinking that technology 'security'(which is really an illusion)and stuff is going to make us feel good. The future doesn't ever exist, however foresight does
flumoxed38 2 years ago
I agree, people aren't wired like this
This is ridiculous and this guys made a fortune saying this too
He doesn't understand the Mind and your true Being are different
The manifest mind's job is to deal with living this life, surviving. enjoying, crying, planning, remembering, feelings, just all aspects of this bodies existence. This guys a buffoon, well maybe not, his eyes aren't completely opened yet
YouDidntHearltFromMe 2 years ago
Cont'd Part 4of4; In today's world, our species easily has the technology to annihilate the planet. Yesteryear, world-ending technology was not available, so the message that certainly has always been there throughout the ages, wasn't as catastrophically important as it is today. But the simple message is this; if people stay lost in their stories & their all-important-ego's (BTW; which is NOT being in the NOW) then that is where we are headed. Very simple. Read a New Earth, and you will get it

Oh well.

This guy is not some joe schmoe, he really had achieve a great spiritual level on his own. tristramshandy3 I've been reading Zen buddhism most of my life, and it is an incredible experience. Eckart Tolle delivers that message in a way so that the world can hear what Buddha wanted to project. Sometimes the world needs the information prechewed because in reality the average person is lazy, sleeping, and they are always looking for the ultimate parent. I'm not like that, I've read it all, but other haven't, and Mr. tolle can really help us all by delivery the message to the Kidults.

thats crazy, because I went through the same thing Tolle went through in the past with depression. I finally awakened......and then i ended up bumping into Eckhart tolle's books. hehe. sometimes we must suffer to see the light.
PsiKidPower 2 years ago
I'm happy for you seeing the light. The difficulty comes for many when they try to repeat the experience. If it is the thinking (that thinks it is you) that is doing it, the light won't be the same. If it is the thinking that is awakened there is no fundamental change. Tolle doesn't address this characteristic of thinking.
livenowdoing 2 years ago
Tolle speaks wonderfully about experiencing the now. He is unable to show you how to stay there.
livenowdoing 2 years ago
Hi Livenowdoing!! you learn how to stay in the now practicing meditation, there are good books that can explain you how to meditate and what meditation is.
jhguevara71 2 years ago 3
Then like you said who is going to stay there? The person? If the person is a concept it cannot stay there since it is not "real" it is just an image passing by in the awareness of light. Whatever is actual and real is not staying nor going anywhere, it is already it, here. Words can only take us so far, tricky, because even the very looking for it can actually obscure it...

Kids need this teaching in school. The amount of rubbish they're taught and they're never taught the most important thing anyone can ever know, which is who they are. I certainly could have done with a dose of this at the age of 10 along with meditation classes.
itsonelouder1 2 years ago 9
I know what you mean but I disagree. Eckhart actually discourages his readers from teaching children some things (like about pain-bodies). I think it's probably better to lead by example by living in the now. Children need examples of real people being themselves. Teaching how to do that could be confusing and just lead to adding layer upon layer of false identifications and at an early age, especially, that is harmful.
bliss22 2 years ago 5
I've heard Eckhart talk about educating children about the pain body, encouraging them to disidentify from it, watch it and notice it, after having a tantrum, not during it. Give them space, be calm and present while they're in full flow but talk about it afterwards, give it a name and ask questions like "what was that?"
itsonelouder1 2 years ago 2
Ah, thank you for reminding me of that. Those all sound like good strategies. I just worry that some people will try and teach too much of things like Eckhart's philosophy to their kids, but I suppose that can't be worse than how people usually raise their children.
bliss22 2 years ago 2

Now is the centre line (an extremely fine line).
The Past and Future are placed across/upon that line.
In that way by doing this people create their own Personal 'CROSS OF SUFFERING'
Shed the Past and the Future as imaginative/emotional thinking.
And one is once more left with the centre line/NOW only.
To tread that line 'AS NOW' is the hardest of things, in this world which is run by the PAST/EMOTION/THE FALSE IMAGINATION.

:) Peace.

There is no place where God is not and that includes You and I. Once the ego is displaced what is there is Divine; God expressing through each of us. This is the natural way God intended for us to live.
The degree of anger and sarcasm in some of these comments reflects the degree of fear the ego has about its own demise.

The truth doesn't belong to Krishnamurti, Tolle, zen buddhists or anyone else. Tolle makes no secret of the fact that his teachings are an echo of many others, and frequently quotes them.

What makes Tolle remarkable is that he has a very good way of explaing this truth and clearly draws on his own experiences.
