His hair is way too short!! Other than that, he still looks pretty damn good for 60 years old!! What a gentleman, signing autographs, talking to the fans and thanking them for coming!! I'll bet he's one of the few stars that remembers if it wasn't for us fans, some stars might be flipping burgers at their local Burger King, making coffee at their local Starbucks or cleaning out the elephant cage at their local zoo!!!! You rock, Richard!!
@fran9860 ok so we all know why you do this, to get a rise out of people. to cause problems and such so you can be happy and have fun...well thats not the way to do it, there are other ways to have fun and get a rise out of things and this isn't the way
Very humble. I grew up watching the Walton's and loved that show so much.
I now watch the show and can see how much family's meant to each other.
It would be eight at night and we would watch the show right before we had to go to bed. How many of us went to bed and said goodnight Jimbob or any of the other kids names Just like the TV show LOL.When Grandpa pass I cried all the next day. In the seventy's we had some good family shows that they could not touch now. Little house on the prairieThBest
@JohnKillrory This is SO TRUE! These shows made you feel good like comfot food but on TV LOL. All we have now is tons of murder crime investigation ,brainless comedys and tons of crap reality shows...
Lucky to have met him, whoever that is filming, as well as the other folks around him. I have met some of the cast from the original Dukes of Hazzard TV series in the 80's. John Schneider (Bo), Tom Wopat (Luke), Cooter (Ben Jones), Rosco, (James Best), Enos (Sonny Shroyer), Cletus (Rick Hurst), & some of the stuntmen. All are down to earth and wonderful people! My dream one day is to meet Michael Knight! ...David Hasselhoff. Don't hassel the hoff. LOL =)
I had the pleasure of working with Richard Thomas for 3 months in a production in 1993 and can honestly say he’s one of the nicest people you could ever meet. He’s a consummate professional on stage and a truly “regular” guy off stage and I truly enjoyed working with him.
He's such a good guy. I can't imagine getting endlessly asked questions about the Waltons when he has done so much more. And people could you stop with the stupid goodnight JimBob ect jokes? But he is so gracious and polite. And people forget what an excellent actor he is.
The Waltons was/is a great series, especially the Richard Thomas years, one of those rare shows that is appropriate for the entire family. We all knew he was a great guy back then, and it's very nice to see nothing has changed, and it was very cOOl to hear that they keep in touch, thanks for the memories, all you guys.....night John Boy :)
Wow, what a sweet man. Soooo nice! I wanna meet him. ; ) I've always thought he had such nice skin and hair. He's so good looking! Nice guy. All the hollyweird actors need "nice" lessons from Richard Thomas.
I grew up with the waltons here in the U.K, great memories, but the best film hes been in has to be Battle Beyond The Stars. Absolute classic. I wonder what he thinks of that film now???
I grew up with the waltons here in the U.K, great memories, but the best film hes been in has to be Battle Beyond The Stars. Absolute classic. I wonder what he thinks of that film now???
One has to wonder how much of John Boy was really Richard just being himself. He is a gentle classy man. Wouldn't be nice if there was a show like The Waltons now??
hi i briefly saw richard at the stage door in between performances in london on the stage! he was talking to a elderly couple and made time to talk to them too! i said to richard that i enjoyed the play! he was very nice too so its no surprise with this video
He seems like a truly nice person. Of course, that doesn't surprise me at all. He has always given off good vibes in his roles, and I suppose they were somewhat extensions of himself.
I believe he took the cake in the Walton's. I loved who he was in the Waltons: The Deep thinker, & the writer, someone who spoke eloquently, someone who took the lead & was loved by everyone in his family, someone a person could look up to!!
I wonder what happened to his birhmark, it seems to of been removed.
My husband is similar to him in some ways in that he is an eloquent speaker & is tall.
They should make this required watching, as well, for all overpaid, spoiled, arrogant, professional athletes who consider us, the fans, as a nuisance. This is so encouraging!
thats how to sign autographs. they should have this played back to all future stars. this just shows that thomas was part of the old hollywood contract days.
He seems so gracious and patient with everyone and there must be an aging picture in an attic somewhere (like Dorian Gray) because this guy looks like he's still in his 30s.
He's a great guy, just a few months younger than my hubby. Today, Ralph Waite played the priest on "Days of Our Lives" and I DID NOT RECOGNIZE HIM at first, even when he spoke! I'm 53, and this really made me feel so freaking old, I couldn't believe it. Richard Thomas is awesome; I just wish the rest of the cast could have gone on to as much success, like David Harper.
He's so cool. I miss seeing him on TV and movies. Just had to look him up on Youtube, because I've been hearing a Mercedes Benz commercial on the radio, and the spokesman sounded just like him, and I was right. It IS him on the ads. A Hollywood actor with family values. Can you imagine that?
I know, and he's the same age as my husband (only a few months younger), so that makes him 58. DD has gone through a lot of hardship, so it shows on his face.
His ex-wife made the cover of time magazine many years ago when they had quintuplets or was it quadruplets? Raising all those kids at once is bound to give a man humility and patience, or drive him crazy.
I grew up watching the Waltons, a relaxing and enjoyable show - I to would like to shake his hand, Richard makes acting look so easy - I've acted in some Dramas at Church and acting is Hard to do, of course it gets easier with time.
He really seems like a down to earth sweet guy! I wish he'd do a play in NYC. You can tell he's no idiot either, he seems like he's very well read and knows his craft.
Totally Agree. In fact, I hear his voice quite a bit on the radio these days advertising Mercedes Benz. My nephew works for Mercedes Benz! Also, earlier today I watched one of Richard's movies for television entitled "Stalking Laura"; it starred Brooke Shields; based on a true story. I haven't seen his great acting in a long while. But I love his voice on Radio.
