Mate do you know how I would change the launch colour from amber to various colours to indicate what samples are qued up? ie. not just all amber for standby to like you would see in AB clip screen.
@Pajes01 You the samples queued in Ableton Live? I'm not a Live user. I access the Launchpad from my own software. Better ask somewhere in a forum concerning Ableton Live. Sorry I can't help on that one.
Just write a program (c++ or p python).. my brother do several experiment whit my launch pad... sequencer, screen text... bright buttons in sync with machines...
Well, as said before - visit the links in the video's description if you're into ruby coding. If not, just in short: By sending MIDI signals to the launchpad. :)
Sorry, It seems that I can't post links in comments... so just the explanation:
I did this with a ruby script using my launchpad gem. If you're into ruby development, visit (see this video's description text) - there's my gem and some explanation on how to use it. You'll also find the script used in this video: examples/colour_picker.rb
If you're not into ruby but want to use launchpad's MIDI capabilities, search novation's support area for their launchpad programmer's reference. Great docs.
