Spike Spencer has just put himself on top of my favorite voice actors list. I watched an End of Evangelion commentary and the commentators mentioned Spencer's reaction when they told him he would have to make suggestive grunts and moans for "Shinji's Super Happy Fun Time" with a comatose Asuka.

Spike Spencer just laughed and said "Of course, of course that's what Shinji does!"

I wish I could find the entire commentary. But I guess I would have to buy the entire movie.

Not everyone died in End of Evangelion. They were turned into LCL when instrumentality began. It was said right after Shinji rejected instrumentality that humans can come back to life it they want to. Shinji came back first, then Asuka from what we see on screen. However Shinji was alone for quite sometime before Asuka returned, resulting in insanity. So when Asuka returned Shinji didn't know if she was real or not which is why he chocked her until she caressed his face.

Also, people are going to re-appear where they were turned into LCL. They're not going to show up in Tokyo-3. Shinji and Asuka returned to where they were turned to LCL.

Also, Kaworu, the "giant naked man" was the only person other than Asuka Shinji trusted and saw as a true end at the end of the series. Killing him made Shinji feel incredibly guilty. Seeing an image of him would comfort Shinji and calm him down.
