  • Very well put ....

  • This is all quite interesting... However, we must remember that at the forefront of the world's biggest human rights advocation was Evangelical Christianity. The Bible was a revolutionary book at its time. A radical book of human rights reform. The reason why we have freedom of rights is because of the amazing advocacy we get from the Bible.

  • @LeagueOfDorf How come this 'amazing advocacy' of the Bible didn't start a bit earlier? Like at the beginning of the slavery?

  • @interfaith01 Shut up. Children are regularly murdered as witches by variations on YOUR religion in Africa. Not abortion, embryos with potential, but actual living children. And on that day, (which I don't believe exists.) I would say I endeavoured to change the world for the better. So no-one had to fear being killed for being gay, black, transsexual, atheist or anything else, and religious freedom was had for all. And if he sends me to Hell, that proves God is Evil.

  • The song hits the nail on the head

  • Great song that says it all.

  • They fought to build a society where millions of children are killed every year, do you think that was a good thing? You will be afraid of Jesus when you stand before him in Judgement. On that day everything inside you will cry in sorrow! Repent

  • Please change the title of your video to "Secular Humanist heroes" Humanism and secular humanism are two different things.

  • Humanism in america now is a great romance tendency ? America aganist all World if the world not in the way of it's interests.

  • The song is "I Ain't Afraid", by Holly Near -- for those who are interested in it.

  • : The creativity is a great humanist value.

  • Wonderful production! Thank you.

  • If Humanism values other humans, they why is abortion valued when it is the killing of other humans? This not asked from a religious standpoint. Human pregnancy is how ALL humans beings come into this world.

  • Humanism is not necessarily a pro-choice movement, but it can provide a framework through which we can approach difficult issues. Yes, we try to look at it from the standpoint of the Greater Good, but we must also follow our hearts. The real question is: who is most qualified to make that choice for others? You? Me? A judge?

  • @ploovi01 I disagree. Not always following the heart, or else I would be more religious. Maybe you are referring to humanism instead of secular humanism, but I digress.

  • @kcballintyp Noone is "Pro-abortion". We are "Pro-choice". It would be great if noone had to get abortions, but that isn't the world. People make mistakes, people get forced, and women get pregnant.

Answer me this: If a woman was brutally raped and got pregnant and within a week of getting pregnant(meaning it would still be a cell with no feelings) wanted to get an abortion, would you make her keep that man's seed in her and grow? She will not love that child.

  • I will teach my hypothetical future children this song, lol. Instead of "Jesus Loves the

    Little Children."

  • Excellent!

  • "I'm afraid of what you do in the name of your God"......oh man, that says it all.

  • Excellent! We'll be featuring this video on our MySpace page (/humanistsofhouston) at the Humanists of Houston. Thanks! :)

  • oh snap, I need this song!

    name? rapidshare?

  • love the song

  • Nice vid.
