  • What a crock. Basic concept of gaining control is good, but what a dumb example. Have you ever sold a house? If you did this to me as a buyer I would walk out because your a smart ass. Better advice would be distraction. Tell them we have lots of great deals. Tell me about what you are looking for... and go down a different path. WOW.

  • Thank you. This really happened. The prospect sat there and waited. The whole excerise was not to make the sale, but to help the sales person with her sales technique. She needed to understand how to control the process vs the prospect controling the process. We did not know if this excerise would work, but it did.

    I like your suggestion as well. I will pass it along.

  • I really like your video, but honestly, your part of the country must be different. No one would stand idle while the information is being entered. They would be in the second or third model by the time the she was ready. An even cheekier response may be in order. Smile and tell them one dollar and then bring out a little painted match box and set it on the topo board. That is an ice breaker.

    I have sold new homes in models for the last 7 years.
