When i got my eyes dialated, i looked at my christmas tree, and there were little tiny rainbows around each of the lights. It gave me a huge headache to look at it. Is that normal?
Good information.... I had this happen up me today and I kept wondering what exactly happens. Oh and I can barely see right now, but that's why I got spellcheck lol.
Why does dialting the eyes hurt so much, literally feel like your eye is on fire when the dialating drops are put in, even though they put the numbing drops in first? It always happens, the numbing drops dont work, and i end up feeling this searing pain.
i love the big pupils ... but they were gone the next day... i had all of those problems at first but when i cam home i got in the shower and slept a little bit and then when i woke up i could see normal .... but the only sad thing is that the pupils aren't that big anymore :(
i went to the eye doctor today and got my eyes dilated. he put the drops over my eye lashes, so i didnt even have to open my eye. after he looked at my eye, he asked if i ever had an infection in my left eye. And then he said i have a scratch on my eye, but it doesnt have any effect over my vision. what is the scratch? is there any way to fix it?
alright i need some help. i've been taking some cough medicine as derected, and it has dilated my pupils. Now they won't go back down to normal size. The medicine is meant for adults, but i'm the size of and adult. I'm about 5'8 and 110 or 115 pounds. any thing i should do? thanks
i went for an eye examination and I had to walk home alone in the afternoon with a bright sun. Its bloody freaky!! i never had eye problems and when i couldn't see my own hands properly, i Freaked out! when i got home somehow... i couldn't look at anything and my eyes were so DAMM sensitive to the afternoon sun. i slept for like 5 hours in the noon then when i woke up, it was as if i just woke up from a nightmare!! it was pretty traumatic!!
I'm wondering, what about the drops makes your pupils dilate? I mean isn't it supposed to be light that makes it go big and small. Then how can a few drops of solution make it even bigger than any kind of light or lack of light could. I'm always wondering how big your pupils could get in total darkness, probably never know because you'd have to turn on some kind of light to check. lol jk.
i just had and eye exam after about 4 years and the doctor did not dilate my eyes. I wonder why because i have not gettting use to my glasses. Help me understand this
i've had Photophobia all my life as well as a few other conditions. I can't go out in regular weather without wearing sunglass which I hate. If I dilute my eyes can that help with the situation? Or will it make it worse?
I've seen some video on how to dilute them yourself at will.
@leahcimrac For some people who might not know, Photophobia is sensitivity to light. Dilating the eyes like we do for the exam actually makes the eyes much MORE sensitive to light for those couple hours that they are dilated. For some reasons, some known and some unknown, there are people who are more photophobic than others. Unfortunately, in most cases the only thing to do is just what you are doing, sunglasses and a hat.
good question. I usually use 1 drop. for some people two drops (which are complimentary) are used. If there is need to keep the pupil dilated for an extended period there is a type that will leave the pupil open for 24 hours.
After getting my pupils dilated for eye exam...
Friend: Dude, you are so fucking high....
Me: No I dont

Do you have to have your eyes dilated everytime you get an exam or vision test?

They should just let you snort a few lines of MDMA, much more fun and it makes your pupils huge! :D

Somehow, I think somehow who's searching for pupil dilation videos is aware that a pupil is 'the black bit'.

@Oozyroflcopter Size of an adult = not an adult. Size is not the reason medicines have age restrictions.

Does being able to dilate your pupils at will affect how well you can see objects from far away?

How many drops do you put? My Mother had an eye exam and it took her nearly 5 hours for it to dialate HALF of its normal size
