@mmurug1 well, situation in this song is that Little Krishna stole butter from some neighbor (butter is kind of main food of that time, hand made home made, extracted directly from yogurt), so, that neighbor complained to the mother of Krishana. And in response to that complain , Krishana says"Mainey naahi makhan khayo" means I didnt eat butter. But in last of the song, Krishna accepts and says "Yes mother, I did eat butter from the neighbor's house".
brings tears everytime i listen to this...Anup Jalota is a great singer..the way he depicts emotions of Lord Krishna in anger, naughtiness and sensitivity is out of this world..toone maakhan khaya hain kya just killls..
The Incarnation of Lord Ram and Lord is Krishna is extremely rare as appearing God in the form of child happens only sometimes . That is why all deity, saints and even Lord Shiva and Lord Brahma Longin to see the magical form of Lord Vishnu as child. Anybody who worship this divine and extremely rare form of Lord Vishnu is very easily going to attain the supreme. Hare Krishna, Hare Rama.
@vjayarammoudgalya , True, he was a great poet. "Sur surya, tulsi shashi badvan keshavdas, abke kavi khadyot sam, jahan tahan karat prakash" (Surdas is like sun, Tulsidas like moon, Keshavdas like a candle, modern poet are like Jugnu giving feeble lights here and there. He is the Jewel of Indian Bhakti kavya(poetry) and one of the important Pillar of India Devotional legacy.
This brought tears...heard after a long time. Such innocence , such subtleness, such love, such sacrifice - nothing compares to the love between a child and his mother. There is truthfulness in his lies too. Amazing composition and rendition, thanks for sharing Sir!!!

1. Ignore him, let him do whatever he wants (Heaven)
2. Beat the hell out of him (Hell)
3. Teach him why his behavior was wrong (Karma & Rebirth)
It's amazing that this ancient religion was so far ahead of its time! Later religions clinging to backward ideas while this older faith is teaching modern values!
Moksha, Enlightenment is earned, not given or begged for, unlike Heaven. That's the essential differnece between the two. Getting to heaven is not that difficult, all a pedophile or a terrorist needs to do is to beg like a dog. He gets to enjoy heaven while his living victims live thru hell. Moksha is earned thru knowledge, and knowledge has to be earned, not given. A Teacher who gives pass marks to a failed student is not doing him a favor. Reach for the Higher goal, reach for Moksha.
What wondrously beautiful music! Although I´m an Icelander who has never been to India, I feel a very strong soul-connection to that great country. Must have something to do with past lives . . . :)
An absolute masterpiece. Even among all the Anup Jalota bhajans, this one stands out. The narrative style is brilliant. For over 25 years now, whenever I have heard this, the last para has brought tears everytime. A truly divine offering. Many thanks
it does'nt matter from which religion you are from but matters who you are from your inner being , like i m a hindu , but believe me when some one asks me from which religion you are from , i use to cry from the inner of my heart , and says i am a human being , more over i also do use to like "piya haji ali " song from movie "fiza" do listen it also bro !!!! many thanks
@debo325 Watch out what ur saying muslim. If muslims find out about ur comment they will ban you. Cause giving credit to a hindu song can be seen as a non muslim act and they can punish you for that.
@Shovelware no my friend I wouldn't expect a true muslim to find my comment offending. It's a beautiful composition, great story of Krishna and amazing voice of Anup Jalota. If someone finds it offending then I really don't care and what they are going to ban me from? following Islam or enjoying great work of music and religious poetry?
@Shovelware I am happy for you my friend that you found peace of your soul somehow. I hope you find your alternate path to God satisfying to your soul. By the way muslims don't hurt fellow muslims because they like other religious poetry. You have a misconception my friend.
@debo325 Ofcourse muslims dont hurt fellow muslims...sure why not huh? But fact is, they hurt non muslims ánd muslims who like other religions (music etc.). But ur a muslim, u will not understand what non muslims are saying.

Your child misbehaves in public, You:
1. Ignore him, let him do whatever he wants (Heaven)
2. Beat the hell out of him (Hell)
3. Teach him why his behavior was wrong (Karma & Rebirth)
