To refer to what mosaic artist create as "fairly low quality image, somewhat crude childlike rendering of the imagery that you are trying to get " is totally wrong and insulting, I am sure you yourself have seen mosaics that are as good as yours and better, I have only been working with mosaics for three years, so I am not at that level, but I have to good fortune to communicate with well known contemporary mosaic artists that create mosaics that look like paintings!
