@SUlax1017 i know because the fake attackman is purposely hanging his stick behind him so that he could get to it and because i know both of those checks and that's how you don't do them
the first two are the same check with improper footwork. And the Ding Dong check is not thrown like that, it's simply just a fake over the head and a check straight down in front of the man. Why make incorrect instructional videos.
@SUlax1017 chill bro I had a blank moment, like your perfect anyway. And even though it's a demonstration, it should still be game like so people know what to do on a real ATTACK MAN.
Those checks are real nice to use maybe when you're running straight down the line with an offensive player, but if you miss that wrap around check or the other one, it's real hard to recover from it.
lol, one of the first things you learn as a d-pole in lax is to not bring the stick above the persons shoulders you are defending against to avoid penalties. this guy is telling us to mindlessly swing our sticks up and down across the guys head to try and get a lucky overhead check...lame
@FilmMiracle ur coach is dum if u have ever watched college lacrosse they throw these checks all the time. do u no more about lacrosse than a college player? i think not
@SUlax1017 I play lax with college players. and sure they throw checks like this but that sloppy? i don't think so. he's showing some sloppy ass checks. and my coaches played college lax. so stop acting like you're mr. badass because you play at a college level.
@oMyMike actually you should, and its a good way to tell good defenders from sketchy ones. how else would you guard an attack from either side of the field and still keep your stick up field to take away passing lanes and force your guy down low?
If you don't land that check at 0:11 the guy scores. It is a bad check to throw at that time, you want your stick upfield
