Thank you for putting up these videos. I'm in high school and this is my sixth year playing. I am not progressing in my ability to play as much as I would like, but your videos have helped. My tone above a D flat a line above the staff is not great, and hopefully your tips will help. Consider me a fan.
wow some of the playing abilities of the ppl on here just amaze me. i have been playing trombone for 3-4 years and i used to think i was good. this knocked me down a notch on my ego though. what is possible is amazing though. keep up your help videos.
Thank you so much for all your tips and other videos that you made. All i am wondering now is how long have you been playing trombone and do you have any tips for a trombonist of 5 years who has just got his first trigger tenor trombone.
Match the low F and E with the Trigger F and E and go from there downward. Same as the bass trombone. You can get a good clear sound on the Fattachment trombone as you can on a bass trombone. Go for the entire range of the instrument high and low.
Thanks that really helps and one final question what are some tips for playing high notes like high b flat that is four ledger lines above the staff and notes beyond that?
You said use alternate positions as much as possible in legato sections. what is your take on switching triggers (thumb and middle finger triggers) when they will be the same position?
Thank you sooooo helpful, there are not really alot of trombone tips like there are for piano and the other intruments thnk you so much, i hav my exam in three weeks, and i needed some trombone techniques, especially playing my jazz
