while this was an amazing video at the time..you have to realize he does have 4 rogues TotTin and a hunter MDing each add wave...and you can tell he does nothing to get adds himself..cept stand in the icepatches and they all get MDed/TotTed to him...so while xav is a great tank....he wouldnt be able to do a lot of things without the support of his guildies.

This fight requires you to have a 'block set' in my set, I have around 6 maybe less expertise, we are required to have avoidance cap then stack block to mitigate more damage. Most of our threat comes from ToT/MDs and of course our block damage from our gear!

Its not a survival set he is using senglish1983. Its a block set. By using this setup you can achive 102% avoidance between dodge block and parry. Also with this setup he will take very little damage from all 4 adds. Looking at the spot when he died. He had to of takin a chain hit from all 4 adds while at 50% HP.

Wow blastoisover900, he never lost agrow on any of the adds and he did 4k dps in the fight, and the top 2 dps were at almost 10k, he knows what he is doing, he had on survival gear, most tanks cant tank 2 adds on that fight without geting owned he tanked all for so think before you pst

He died because an add (on their natural group spreading) trailed behind him and hit him in the back, which can easily insta-gib a block rating tank on this fight. He's using this gear set only for this fight and this role as an add tank, normally he'll have the general 42k+ full stam set on.

Not really, we do just fine having a warrior stunning them after 3-4 seconds, then I'll holy wrath (ret) and our other ret will holy wrath after that. Usually they are dead by this point. This method also reduces incoming damage by quite a bit.

did u not read i said "avoidance" which means block is also included (if ur a paladin or war) and he pretty much never got hit everything was blocked/dodge/parryed/missed simple rejuv was overhealing him the whole time and the only time he didnt have any type of heals or hots was when he got hit guessing cuz of DR but still he pretty much never got a direct hit on hes hp cuz of hes avoidance

He has 36k because he's stacking a retarded amount of SBV just for this fight, as pre-nerf/buff one tank could stack it to the point that 60% of the attacks from the Burrowers would be full blocks, mitigating most of the damage done to the tank even at 300% increased damage from the expose debuff.

It wasn't luck. There's a more indepth reason why I wore the set I did. The week of our Insanity I wore a capped (101.6% vs lvl82) set, but it comes at a cost of something else. I decided this was the better overall setup, and it worked.

Nice video. My guild just went in for attempts tonight, had a block set going in (just at 97% unfortunately, 4.6% short). Did 6.2k DPS one attempt with cleave glyph. Ridiculously fun fight to tank if you're the add tank! Keep repping the US!

“Xav was killed by a swing (8765) from Square then by a swing (11519) from Triangle then by a swing (14795) from Star" (Square, Triangle, and Star being the marked adds).

You're also ignoring the fact that in order to hit Xav the spikes would have had to cross the ice and the patch would have been consumed. I’m assuming you were just confused by Xav’s whispers TO pursued players.
