Kraz had a soviet JAMZ-238 (4-stroke V8 diesel 14.8 litres, 240 h p), which appeared in the beginning of 60s. 2-stroke JAMZ-206, which was a copy of GMC, was installed on the predecessor of kraz (Jaaz-214).

330hp version,which was also used on MT-LB was 2 stroke,direct fuel injection,liquid cooled, 14,86L and 866Nm of torque.On some Kirovets tractors,it was turbocharged,like on the 255B. 257 for instance,which was the road model,didnt had a turbo.I own a Kraz-255B1,which has the 238-ND which is turbocharged,330 hp and the previous talk before.

All 14.86 liter YAMZ engines are 4-stroke with 2 over head valves per cilinder and one side camshaft (240 hp and 883 nm). Also exists the turbo version of this engine (330 hp and 1225 nm). I'm from Russia and I see these engines every day.
