  • Haha One of the 'Skins' actors is the blacksmith's apprentice . funny

  • This is so awesome, I never read but season 2 just takes to long so i bought the books.

  • awesome show... looking forward to season 2 :)

  • British actors RULE.

  • jizzzzz in my pants....

  • Ok, so far everything looks hot - its better be good! I have high hope for this show cause George R.R Martin is an actual Co-executive producer. So it means he might make sure that they don't change his storyline much. They will still change things thou.....WHERE ARE THE STARK's WOLFS?

Its better not be disappointing as "Seeker of the Truth" was! Example of amazing book but complete lack of ability to portrait it into show.

  • @Closo2n2 actually this show sticks to the book amazingly well ... the starks do have their dire wolfs so no worry's there. Personal opinion. If you enjoyed the book, you are going to love this show

  • @macss2 lol yeah you right , show is great. However, I never expected so much nudity ;)

  • I came. I saw. I came.

    I wish I had HBO.

  • Lena should've been cast as Cat

  • I am so looking forward. Just look at the Hound!!!

  • let's be clear about one thing: Holy fucking shit.

  • i can't believe that game of thrones is only on 'sky atlantic' here in the UK. if virgin don't buy this channel before this show starts, i swear i may have to kill somebody!

  • @Watcher40000 Can't see that happening considering sky have only just released the channel for all of these great shows, end of the day you get what you pay for and you paid for Virgin

  • 00:08 : Is it me or is it Boromir, aka Sean Bean ?

  • @Briselance Yep, that's Sean Bean.

  • This looks like the fantasy equivalent of firefly, based on life and people, not aliens and monsters.

  • Comment removed

  • Jon and Robb are close "as" brothers Hmm...

  • @froschgesicht Spoiler alert?

  • @froschgesicht Sharpe

  • Dinklage as Tyrion is genius.

  • i guess boromir left lord of the rings...

  • There are four people who need to GTFO

  • Tyrion is going to continue to be one of my favs, I see :D

  • @AlbertBC88 - You can see the puppies wriggling around their mother's body at 9:55, lower left.

  • Can't fucking wait!!!

  • i feel sorry for my replay button...seriously!! i have been studying the details, like for a an hour.. :P

  • Good to know that there are plenty of British actors makes it a lot better. Hope they have the wolves in the show, and they don't gloss over the gritty parts.

  • Who is that at 04:09? The character I mean.

  • @WoYaTzar Robb Stark... Eddard Stark's eldest (legitimate) child and heir to Winterfell.

  • @devilseucharist

And also my favourite character from book

  • Dude.

  • Where are the dire wolves??

  • @AlbertBC88 you get to see them being found in this video.

  • FINALLY!!!!!!!!!

  • Winter is coming and so am I.

  • Dany touching the dragon egg really looks wonderful!

  • Sean Bean certainly not very enthusiastic when talking about the show...

  • daenerys is as sexy as i imagined her. :D

  • Whoop whoop looks amazing :D Northern Ireland was such a good place to shot ;-) a lot of places in this clip I've riddin at and been at :-D can't wait thanks for posting this!!!!!!

  • i predict the same fate as "Rome", 2 seasons tops for this thing. It doesnt look murky and dark enough

  • @TheGamerPandA do you mean as compared to the books? 'Cause you can't really get much darker then them....

  • WOO Tommy Carcetti.

  • No, luckily there are not hobbits here,

  • No hobbits, no elves, no dwarfes from LOTR. Still ASoIaF is greatest fantasy in history.

  • Are there any hobbits in this? Im not watching this unless there are hobbits...

  • Taking bets on whether the series (one season per book) will catch up to A Dance With Dragons before it's released.

    I vote Yes

  • Why are people complaining about accents when Britian doesn't exist in the world of A Song of Ice & Fire? To me, if it's too British or of any one "accent", it'll ruin it. So yeah, Dinklage sounds fine. You aren't going to get any one dialect, more like the actors are trying to blend some. Looks great, aside from the nitpicks like Jaimes hair is darker than I visualized. And Sandor isn't as burnt/wrong side (unless they just flipped the direction of the video?). Can't wait to see the wolves!

  • George R R Martin, stop giving interviews and go finish the goddamn book already!

  • @Vectornyi GRRM is not your bitch! copyright Neil Gaiman.

  • @Vectornyi hahah.. you're right! I hope that he will not do what Robert Jordan did. XD

  • This looks so awesome! Though I have only read the first book I can not wait for this series! It looks like it will be one of my favioute series! Just awesome. Can't wait to see how they do things, wont give any spoilers but this book did make me squirm at certain points. Hope they wont take them all out though! For reality you must make the aduiance squirm ^.^

  • I don't want to give spoilers. There's a certain event involving Dany and fire, and a certain relatively minor consequence of that, one which I'm pretty sure they wouldn't want to be the same in the tv show because they wouldnt want to inhibit attractiveness. Does anyone even know what I'm talking about? I'm just wondering if they'll do it like in the book or maybe leave that effect out.

  • @Dianeva89 I know what you are talking about, and I think this actress is beautiful enough to carry it off....

  • I hope this series gives martin the mental boost to finish writing the series.

Besides that, i think the casting is really good, besides ned and jaime. I imagined those two totally different.

  • @phooploid Really?! I think Ned and Jaime are two of the best casting decisions in the whole project. Sean Bean is pretty much exactly how I imagined Ned looking.

  • @JDaliday i think Petyr Baelish and Viserys are best casting decisions.

  • Wow the spoilers on here are disgusting. Thank god I read the books. I am sorry for those who haven't.

  • HBO has only the best series you HAVE to watch, seems like another one I guess ?

  • I'd rather have good acting than bad contact lenses.

  • Furthermore, a lot of people are complaining about Dany's eye colour, in the clips from the series (not the interview) her eyes do look sort of violet.

  • Initially I had issues with the Jon Snow as well. With that said, HBO tends to make things gritty and realistic, and the Jon shown in the trailer seems to fit the overall mood. I doubt George Martin imagined him as some anime-esque badass. Though Lena Heady isn't as sexy or curvy as the Cersei fan art, she's a phenomenal actress and has the capacity to play the role perfectly. Jamie and Ned are perfectly cast (Nikolaj's facial expression when he draws his sword).

  • Night gathers, and now my watch begins

It shall not end until my death

I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children

    ...

I shall wear no crowns and win no glory

I shall live and die at my post

I am the sword in the darkness.

I am the watcher on the walls.

I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men.

  • I hope they don't make Tyrion talk like he does against the tree all the time. Just because he's a 'dwarf' doesn't mean he has to talk freakishly.

Danaery's purple eyes are one of her main characteristics, and don't see why they didn't have the actress wear purple contacts. Jon looks chubby / big boned. I don't know whether my mind decided that he was supposed to be quite skinny and somewhat short, or if he was described that way in the book, but the actor looks very wrong to me.

  • @Dianeva89 Dinklage's voice sounding weird may have to do with him being American, and having to fake an accent. Although, his accent was better in Prince Caspian (though obviously a different one), so maybe there's just something about the way he speaks in this scene that seems weird and we won't notice it in the show. I know Dinklage is a great actor, so I trust him to pull off Tyrion.

  • What the fuck, Sandor's scar are on the wrong side.

  • @1Ttidna: There is no elf, and no other race of this kind.

There is a little magic, but only a little (in the first season, almost nothing).

If you dislike the traditional fantasy, try to watch this TV series, because it's very different!

  • @AryaSnow1 There is no races? What about the Others, and the giants?

    Two races, right there.

  • Bring on the mountain that rides!!

  • So, is it magic, elves and shit like that in this series?

  • @1TtidnaB

Mostly just a fictional setting, no elves, not much magic except the occasional death curse that one of the characters uses to assassinate her enemies.

The only fantasy creatures that feature prominently are dragons and Wights and Others, which are like zombies.

  • I don´t like jon snow at all!!!!!!!! I really liked the actor with short hair but he is fatter than he should be, isn´t he!?? and kind of rude... in general the cast is awesome!!! so looking forward to see the wolves!!!!!!! can´t wait!!!!

and george please, don´t kill tyrion!!!!!!

  • @AMILIS85

Jon Snow should be a lot more clean cut and badass looking than the whiny scruffy bitch they have in this series.

Jon Snow should be a rich spoiled bastard that transforms into a badass soldier, not something that looks like it just crawled out of a cave.

  • At least from those few sequences I can say It wont be so utterly destroyed as Legend of the Seeker was. But no matter how good it can be, how exact to book or how much im dying right now to see it ;), everyone should definitely read complete series first, as nothing can replace one's imagination. It an eye-orgasm vs mind-orgasm ;)

  • come on come on come. I'm gonna freeze myself to get see it faster.

  • OMFG that was ucking awesome

  • This has woken my dragon!!!!!, but in a good way ofcourse.

  • Some people and pronunciations are a bit different from what I had thought... but overall, this looks like it will easily be the most epic TV show of all time.

  • Why does Jon look at least 20?

  • @Dianeva89 they increased the age of all the kids, well, everybody actually but it's most pronounced with the kids.

they had to do it ,obviously.

  • Tyrion forgot to say what his sister has... :p

  • Love it, but I'm not sure what accent Dinklage is going for - it sounded awfully strange.

  • @couldcause Lol, I've always thought he was going to be the weakest link in the British accent department. I was also concerned about the guy playing Jaime, but his accent sounds spot on from what little we've heard so far.

  • @JackoThe1st Spot on what? I lived in England most of my life and I have no idea what accent he is trying to emulate - it is definitely not British.

  • @couldcause No I meant Jaime's accent was spot on. Dinklage is definitely attempting a British accent too, but he doesn't do it too well.

  • @JackoThe1st whoops, sorry, misread your comment

  • OMG, I cant await to see this finally! The characters are all (except Catelyn who looks too old) so well casted - especially Jon Snow and Daenerys (very beautiful).

  • Though it's not how I imagined him, after 6:08 I AM IN LOVE with Tyrion :)

  • i am dissapointed in Sandor´s choice really

  • I'M LITERALLY CUMMING FROM ALL MY DICKS.

  • @ZeroOfBells I'm visualizing this... It's horrible.

  • @ZeroOfBells, ALL OF THEM!!!!??

  • SO AWESOME.

    Oh Tyrion.

  • Daenerys <3

  • 6:02 is that a shot of Bronn?

  • @banana6422 Yep, totally calm and focused.

  • 10:21 = Arya looking on as...stuff happens. And at 11:35 (just for a second)...Needle! I'm so looking forward to seeing Arya in this show.

  • SWEEET thank you for the full version!

  • at 5:06 we get a glimpse of Ser Barristan Selmy!!!

  • @AndrewCorvin Long live Barristan the Bold!

  • THIS. IS. AWESOME

  • Arya Stark is my favorite!

  • 1 dude will be sent beyond the wall...

  • It's gonna be good. Thanks for posting :)

  • If this series is not a rousing success, I predict heads will roll

  • I loved when GRRM had to describe Ned.

'The Centre of the series' *shifty eyes*

  • @Storgud hey hey hey, spoilers, still in book one here....

  • Looks amazing, still waiting to see the wolves and others though.

  • @Smockotron : are you suggesting yourself then ???

  • @Lukske77: Are you trying to say that because I'm not an actor (at all) that i should not be able to have an opinion on someone elses acting? Or that you genuinely think that I could be better than him? :)

  • Why do Robb and Bran not have auburn colored hair?

Why are Daenerys', Cersei's, and Tyrion's eyes all the wrong colors?

  • The level of detail from HBO is absolutely amazing. If the acting is as good as it looks so far, this will be an epic series. Highly recommend you read the books first for every tiny sneaky detail. This story will knock your socks off with surprises. Awesome!!!

  • Really looking forward to this. Come on April.

  • I have afew problems with the cast.. Jon snow being the biggest. This kids a bit too fat. and seems a bit too soft to be Jon. I hope my opinion changes when the show actually airs.

Jamie and Cersei are not nearly attractive enough.

  • guaton CTM termina la caga de serie, vay mas lento que rio de caca :hype:

  • @DonGodard vete a aprender español a la escuela :S y le pones :hipe: como si esto fuera un maldito foro xD imbecil

  • I wish there was a 'love' button. No author has ever made me feel for the characters as much as GRRM. This will surely be a brilliant series.

  • Littlefinger is perfect!

one of my fav dialogue from the series..

I cannot wait for this series.

  • @kalidontx Indeed! but just wondering, is he going to wear his goatee? 'cos in the scenes he doesn't but it seens (although I can't really see it well >.<) that in the scene of Jaime, Ned and LF he has a goatee, hasn't he?

Anyway, I want to see the series!

(and sorry for my creepy english)

  • Jon looks too old

  • @kirbyy They aged up all the child actors by a couple of years, so for instance Jon and Robb are 17 instead of 14. This is something GRRM's stated he realized he should have done when he was writing the later books.

  • I can not believe it... this is going to be amazing...

  • 0 dislikes. The way it should be.

  • @UnicornPrincess4713 Always gonna be that one douchebag who dislikes every video. :/

  • Winter is Here!! At least almost here in DC. Oh me, oh my, April can't come fast enough.

  • One does not simply dislike Game Of Thrones.

  • Just stunning! Can't wait for it!

  • April is too long away.

  • Jon Snow looks like a total prat. Ned Stark would have looked better with the actor's actual short hair. With the long greasy hair he just looks like Boromir from LoTR

  • @featherspy totaly agree, but other then that it looks pretty damn good

  • For the sake of new fans to this wonderful series, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT POST SPOILERS IN COMMENTS!

  • @thewgill You have 5 months to read the book, I recommend that you do so

  • @GadKing I posted for the sake of new fans, which I am not.

  • @thewgill what you mean like how ned ends up in a wheelchair?

  • @thewgill Advice to everyone who reads: when you're reading a new book, don't go online to look up anything to do with it until you finish the series as written so far. I swear every time I've done that, I've encountered spoilers unintentionally. Don't even read the back covers of each individual book until you've finished it.

  • @thewgill

Sorry, but everyone knows everything that happens up to the end of book 4 already.

  • @Shadowthrone08 Some of us are still reading the books (I'm still on the second book). So, no spoilers please.

  • "Ned Stark is the center character of the series."

Wat. He triggers the main conflict, okay, but story-wise he has no greater importance than the other "viewpoint characters". At least in the books. I don't understand why would they change this narrative method for the tv-series, because let's be honest, Ned has no gravitas or depth, only his personal and traditional values.

  • @Ghavin86 Well, in the books he seems to be the central character in the beginning too, so maybe they wanted to surprise people with how the story develops.

  • @paweldembowski Nonetheless, there is no reason to call any of the main characters central in regard of the narrative structure. Even in this preview there are scenes without Ned Stark, and I hardly believe that they would delibaretly degrade the other character arcs into some sort of secondary storylines. It would be a betrayal of the source material. I really hope this was just lapse of the tongue by Martin...

  • @Ghavin86 He not only triggers it, he's the one we get to see most of the most important conflict through as one of the most important players. That's backed up by that it's Martin himself who says that line. I can't explain on a deep level though as I don't want to be an idiot and risk spoiling things for others.

  • @TheMockFrog You are perfectly right, but again, the novels didn't really favored any of the characters, their arcs were presented with equal importance, especially in the Game of Thrones. This made the series unique, and I think this could be the key for the tv series' success.

  • @Ghavin86 I don't disagree with you about the novels at all but I think there's a lot to gain for the tv-series putting Ned in that spot, if you see where I'm leading with that. I do think the various characters will become equally important as they are in the books.

  • @TheMockFrog Well in that case the real question is: should Ned be the central character? I understand that there is lot to gain with this creatice decision, but in the other hand there lot to lose as well. I hope this issue will be balanced out in the final product, because I don't want the series to be canceled after the first season (which quite likely if they start to cherry pick between the story elements with a bad concept in mind.)

  • @Ghavin86 I don't think Martin meant that he'll be the central character on screen, just the most important character we get to follow in terms of him being at the center of the intrigues. We'll still have all the storylines on the Wall, in the Eyrie, across the Narrow Sea etc so I don't see any reason why every character wouldn't get fairly equal time to what they get in the book. My thoughts are of course as much speculation as yours but that's what I think.

  • @Ghavin86 Consider that it's George RR Martin himself saying it, and that the girl playing Daenaerys later mentions how the show will change all assumptions, and you have a classic example of a writer telling those who *haven't* read the books a fakeout.

  • Epic nerdgasm right now.

  • Wow. Viserys, Jaime, Tyrion. Incredible casting all.

  • Jaime Lannister needs to be blonder

  • Last image shone, The Hound winning the tournament, just finished reading that chapter.....

  • Finally ! Khal Drogo!!! extremely hot Jason Momoa, you are fantastic and so huge!

  • Why does Brandon look exactly like Sean Bean?

  • Brandon Stark death scene at 11:37

  • @TheCaptainofSauce, I'm not finished with book one...but isn't he to old to be Bran?

  • @xGhost4000x All the children were aged up for the purposes of the series.

  • @xGhost4000x

    SPOILER ALERT

That is not Brandon the boy, but Brandon Ned's older brother who was killed at the order of King Aerys. Now that does seem to be Sean Bean, so either they decided to use him for that scene (in the books Brandon's description is not very clear, only that he had a wild nature to him), or that is totally a different scene from the books, and I will say no more on that.
