  • I'll give some credit to Austin Tayshus for great delivery but the true genius here is Billy Birmingham aka the 12th man for writing this.

  • Was soo lucky to meet Sandy on my first ( but not last) trip to Oz in 2006. Saw him during Comedy Fest in Melbourne 2006. Got an Autograph.. a treasured momento. Will

    Walla be there, mate?

  • This is the best thing ever.

  • Oh. My. God.

  • that is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo dummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • gold bloody gold

  • fucking comedy gold absoluty Brilliant

  • im a proud australian from an ethnic background. i love australia, i love our humour and the fact we can poke fun at ourselves and laugh about it. i honestly cant see myself being anything other than an aussie.... cheers !

  • @kingsag I hear ya! :)

  • Lord Howe Island is halfway to New Zealand

  • Gotta love Austen, and the visual work is great.

  • This routine has been around for years and i still laugh as much today as i did the first time i heard it. It's probably the most famous Aussie Joke and only us true blue Aussies will understand it! Thanks for uploading it. Cheers!

  • That pub is one on the sunnie coast aussie world :)

  • ha ha i love the skit, slide show is oookayish i thought better than the cheesy original filmclip, neways i had a laugh

  • find it hard to imagine non-aussies getting more than a few of the references, particularly the place names. still holds up after all these years though

  • Would have been much better without the shitty slide show, just terrible.

  • Gold... I forgot how funny that is!

  • still as funny as it was back in '83...

  • lol essefen funny that u say visual for a blind guy!

  • I like the visual guide you made, makes it much easier for non aussies to attempt to understand the humour ;)

  • Thats not where darwin is lol

  • Move to the Western Suburb's Austen!,You Have my vote!!!!!,You will get the seat we only have Wog's and cock smoking Faggots as well as the rest of Australia!,Lets kill the Sheeple and bring back Freedom!!!!!

  • My dad and his mate went to the origginal in 1983 XD

  • love it!!

  • that is great blood good job mate

  • baaaaahahahahahahahahah dad man iz a lyrical geenius

  • This is awfully funny ....again!!

  • Thats fking funny

  • Warra was nice ! ;-)

but she's in Wollongong, not Perth

  • I always heard the wattle, never noticed the Lake Eyre part 'til today with the picture.

  • LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT great work and terrific way to explain it all.

Just a couple of corrections: Illawarra is in N.S.W. not W.A. Darwin is further north East ans since it's called AUSTRALIANA naturally there SHOULD be an Australian Marsupial.

    Again great work Tones!!!!!

  • lmao!

  • well done! Happy Australia Day

  • That's put together really well.

  • Should of included a "Tally Ho" picture ;)

    Anywayz, nice video man.

    I Applaud your efforts.

  • written by billy birmingham, the 12th man. Austen Tayshus has never been this funny on his own

  • i agree

  • Actually, his 'When the Tickers Stop Quivering' album is brilliant. I love the Mupersan sketch and the Necrophilia routine (I'm the only guy I know who starts foreplay with a shovel).

Billy is fantastic, but Austen deserves credit too. I'm not sure if Billy could deliver this as well as Austen.

  • @GitarStu It's great! "You know, I've been accused of being a crude, cocksucking arsehole. That's ok, I can take constructive criticism.., but if my Grandmother ever says that again I'll kick her fucking head in!"

  • Illawarra is just south of Sydney, not Perth :)

I love this. My favourite Austin Tayshus skit is the Necrophilia one. But I doubt that'll be on here anyway.

  • Hehe yes it is

  • @GitarStu there is also a long road in Perth called Illawarra Drive. :)

  • @CowboyAus1 Yeah, but that's not what Austen is referring to.

  • crap

  • W00T Noosa Heads!!

  • nice work

  • thanx 4 spendin the time putting it together.

  • You'd probably need subtitles to help

Who outside Australia knows what a marsupial is ...

  • marsupials arent just in australia

  • I agree joshoko2. Australia is just known for it's marsupials because of the size and diversity of them.

I know what you mean though... I was amazed when I found out that Papua New Guinea has echidnas, sugar gliders, tree kangaroos and gum trees.

  • yeah, i felt kinda ripped off when i found out they're not unique to australia. but hey more the better

  • their is only one marsupial outside of Australia and it is the possum from north America i believe i could be wrong but thats what ive heard:) but possums are in australia aswell:D

  • For illawara, the dot was at the right spot, the arrow wasnt.

  • there was a dot ?

  • Yeah, Illawarra is near Sydney.

  • Illawarra is on the other side of Australia :).

  • good that
