My data is the same for the 1st Pivot Table, but I have two Headers - one says Count of Product (Boomerang Name) below that Says Product (Boomerang Name) It allows me to modify the "Product (Boomerang name), but not the other Header or the "Total" Header... Not sure if that will make since, but wasn't sure why I couldn't modify the header without an error
I was a novice Excel user for years with limited knowledge of the formulas and the features of Excel 2007. But, after watching just your first 15 videos, I really feel a lot more comfortable using Excel for data analysis.
I plan to view one of your Excel Statistics per day until I get through them all. I just once again wanted to thank you for these great videos!!! Thanks!
EXCELlent!!! This series is good for statistics, but if you search for 'excelisfun' go to the channel and watch the video that automatically plays, it will show you how to find about 1000 other Excel videos I have posted and the playlists. Playlists like Excel Basics and Highline Excl Class have the best all-around Excel lessons.
I am truing to get assistance on Construct a frequency distribution and a percentage distribution of the number of bedrooms in the sold houses. I also need to create a ploygon and histogram. I am not understanding about creating bins or midpoints. Can you direct on which video will help me with this? thanks.
Ah yes, I guess your workbook has the wrong default settings, because that box was checked, and when I unchecked it everything works as it does in the video and in the completed file.
Thanks. Now I have to try and figure out how to change it and then upload it again (I have tried once already and it did not work - but usually if I try 5 times, I can usually figure it out...).
When I try to do this, I drag the Boom Names into row labels, and then the Boom Names into values, but I don't get the same layout you get. Instead, it puts Boom Names as the field name, but it puts Frequency right above Boom Names instead of as a second field name to the right. And then it puts Totals as the 2nd field name.
So I end up with 4 cells in the "Title" area of the pivot table. Cell L20 has Frequency, L21 has Boom Names, Cell M20 is blank, and Cell M21 says Total.
Right-click the pivot table, point to Pivot Table Options on the drop-down, then on the Display tab, uncheck "Classic PivotTable layout". If this works, please let me know because it means that I have posted a workbook with the wrong default settings.
BTW, jefframras, when you watch my videos, do you always download the workbooks in order to follow along?
He has so much enthusiasm lol Thanks for the vid! Helped a lot!
