Have you ever seen a bear taken with a bow? I doubt it. Killing is killing. It's best to do it quickly and effectively. It isn't about showing your "manhood," it's about taking the animal for its hide, meat and so on. The only difference between the bow and the rifle is the effective range. Both will work, and both require skill and planning to use.

ANWR=Artic National Wildlife Refuge. I should not have said province but I briefly was thinking about Anwar province in Iraq which is another political issue I doubt your familiar with. This issue has less to do with Sarah Palin now that she is no longer on the national level and it is highly unlikely she will ever be president, but at the time it was posted it was very possible she could have become president and her violent record on wildlife very well could have effected these bears.
