Much misunderstood, and more importantly undervalued!This great man took all those who would be open to a much more rich pallette and rollercoater ride of what you can do with instruments!Norman Lebrecht thinks his music should be forgotten........what do you think?
@ROLANDMC80EX By all accounts, Mr Lebrecht (whom I'd never heard of before) has a reputation for being an absurdist, but Michael Tippett would be the first to defend anyone's right to criticise. From the little I've seen of his polemical style, Lebrecht seems upset that he doesn't "get" Tippett, and like (for example) the primitive peoples throughout history, he wants to strike out and hurt what he doesn't understand. That's his misfortune, not ours.
